Tropical goodies has the best Jamaican food in the Charlotte area at this time. I drive across town for the incredible food!
While this restaurant doesnt offer the option to "eat in," the food is still great!! Faves are their oxtails, beef ribs, and peas&rice. The food is reasonably priced with friendly/helpful staff. Do try them out....

I've come to the Lasalle location a few times. I was introduced to it by a friend and fell in love with their food. The jerk chicken is always tender. The cabbage has a little spice to it just like I like it. I get the vegetable plate alot because the food is just that good without the meat. Ive tried their coconut cake which is very moist and good. All their food is nice and hot and you do get a pretty nice serving. Customer service is great. Angie is usually fixing the plates. Both her and the cashiers are always so friendly. They always show you your plate before you leave out to ensure you're satisfied with what you've received. This take out only. Many of us will sit in the car, such as myself, and eat sometimes because the food is so good. You don't want to wait sometimes to get home. The food is a little pricey but worth it. I do recommend that you try this restaurant. (Food I've tried: jerk chicken, collards, potato salad, corn, yams, cabbage, green beans, Mac n' cheese, beans and rice, fried plantains, fried wingettes,coconut cake)
First time trying I ordered 4 Chicken Wings Yams Pasta Salad and a slice of Coconut Cake. Everything was amazing. Chicken was seasoned to perfection. Yams were incredible, pasta salad was great & the slice of Cake was delicious. Great first experience. Would recommend

I ordered jerk chicken, yams, and mac & cheese. Everything tasted so good. My food was hot, the jerk chicken had tons of heat and spice, the mac & cheese was very tasty (love the browned cheese on top!), and the yams were to die for.
One of the best Caribbean restaurants in Charlotte.. you get a lot for your money and the food is authentic & great!. You can also mix & match. My last order was oxtails ,jerk chicken, cabbage & potato salad. I visited the new location on North Tryon.
Love Love the food! However, they allowed this man to sit very close to the register who literally asked every man and woman who paid with cash to give him money. It was very uncomfortable. Other than that the food is really great.

Been here twice and got a full dinner plate of jerk chicken with the mac & cheese with their plantains. Those plantains will definitely put you to sleep for sure, amazingly fast service. Definitely coming back for more!

The food here is so good !! It was my first time but it definitely won't be my last. I woke up I'm going there today to get something else to eat that's how good it was and I just went yesterday!! And the prices were great I only spent $13 on a really good meal!!

Food was very delicious. Staff was very friendly and personable. This was my first visit after hearing about this restaurant for years. I was not disappointed and I will certainly return. A word of advice-You've got to get there early, because they run out of food pretty quickly.
