Have ordered from here twice and both times have been good. Tried the lunch special and found it to be a good deal with 2 choices of meats. I had the Kung pao chicken and the sesame chicken, would def order the sesame chicken again. The lo mein is also good.
I picked up Kung Pao Chicken and a spring roll for dinner tonight. I did not order ahead. It was prepared quickly. Both were fresh, hot and delicious. The vegetables in the KP Chicken had crunch, and the sauce was the perfect level of spiciness for me. Portion was generous enough to have some for lunch tomorrow -- if not later tonight:) I will definitely go back.
Great Chinese place! Don't let it being located beside a gas station deter you. Owners are a husband-wife team, and they are very nice. Food is great and much better than other Chinese places around here.
My husband and I love their food😀.
An adorable older couple, help us ( I suppose their are the owners) It was our first time there, the older lady took our order, answer questions, and the gentlement (the cooker) he talked to us in detail about the dishes we choose.😀
Dollar for dollar, the best Asian restaurant! Fresh, good level of spice, loads of veggies. Quick and friendly service. And yes, that is how it’s spelled.
For starters, the staff/owners are always friendly and greeting me when I come in - even the cook. I have ordered the General Tso chicken and Beef with Broccoli and it’s always prepared fresh. The General Tso chicken with fried rice is my favorite! It’s the best that I’ve had and I have been to MOST Chinese spots in Charlotte (and outside of Charlotte) as I love to try different types of foods and restaurants and have a diverse palate. Unique in taste and piping hot each time I come on my lunch. I have suggested the business to my coworkers and will continue to come for the delicious food, prices, and most importantly the outstanding service. Definitely deserving of my hard-earned money 🙂
Food taste great! Especially the sesame chicken. It's much different then other standard Chinese restaurants. Menu contains a small variety of options but I believe this leads them to focus on quality. Also the lady at the counter is sweet.
I joined a Korean friend for lunch. I love spicy Korean dishes. The hot pepper chicken lunch entree was perfect. I enjoyed the kung pao shrimp and fried rice as well. Looking forward to returning.
Great food. Alot of food for the money. Fast service. Best item on the menu is the House Special Fried Rice. Order it spicy.
Pretty good Chinese food!! I’ve been a couple of times and will visit again!
This place is a hidden gem - amazing food, superb value, nice staff and atmosphere
The people here are very kind and the food was delicious and ready in just a few minutes. Definitely going to be one of my go-to lunch spots.
1st. time going to Kung Poa Express, and it won't be my last! I placed my order (General Tso Chicken & egg roll) and it was ready in 5 minutes. Very delicious and spicy!
Kung Poa Express is a much needed quick Chinese joint in Huntersville close to 485. Inviting, neat, and filled with delicious aromas.
If you like Wok Hei, that smoky caramelized delicious umami flavor and smell that great Asian food is characterized by, then go here and get some food. You can smell the wok hei the second you walk in. The prices are good too for the amount of food you get.
I’m a pepperhead, I love spicy food. Think ghost peppers, scorpions, reapers etc. That being said, the Hot Pepper Chicken dish is amazingly spicy! Most places don’t impart enough heat in the dish but they light me up in a good way.
Do yourself a favor and try Kung Poa Express out for quick delicious Chinese food. The only con I can give is that sometimes their sauces tend to be a little on the greasy side, but that’s forgivable.
All in all, an excellent addition to the restaurant lineup for us Huntersville residents.
