We stopped here on a whim after not seeing anything appealing nearby and it was a great success. I’ve never had Turkish cuisine but anything under the Mediterranean umbrella is always a go for me. I had a build your own beef bowl with a little bit of everything. The beef was really flavorful, the ingredients were fresh and the tzatziki sauce was on point. Also surprisingly the fries are better than most burger joints I’ve been to.
On top of having great food the staff were both very friendly and thanked us for stopping by. Although not food related I have to mention the collection of cat portraits. That was the cherry on top haha
Amazing Turkish food!!! My husband and I wanted to try something new as we were strolling along downtown Charlottesville, versus having the same old stuff so we came to Otto to try Turkish cuisine for the first time. Ali, was super friendly as he greeted us waking in. He asked if this was our first time in and he kindly guided us on his menu. I picked a bowl and my husband a pita, we each tried one of their meats and both were delicious. The salad bowl I had was fresh with amazing vegetables and homemade dressings. They have vegetarian, vegan and dairy free options as well. Their rosemary fries as a side and their homemade baklava for dessert are a must! We also appreciated the Turkish paintings, printed canvas and traditional Turkish music playing in the background to compliment the experience. We love supporting local family owned businesses and if we are back in-town we will definitely be back.

This place is awesome! The food was really good (I got a bowl and it was like a healthier and tastier version of chipotle)! The owner, Ali, is a really kind guy who I could tell wanted to do whatever he could to make sure I had a good experience. If you're wondering if it's worth the stop, go! I don't write reviews often, but Otto's was really good all around, and they just opened during the pandemic. Thanks Ali for the great food!
Delicious food made fresh daily. Loved the choices. Don't miss the rosemary fries which are fun to dip in the sauces. Plenty of seating in the restaurant. Enjoyed the bonus of a chat with one of the owners. A delightful experience!
Ali is extremely nice and friendly! Once he realized I drove from Richmond to here he gave me a lot of free Turkish treats! And the food was also amazing and super healthy and fresh!
We picked this place at random while in Charlottesville around lunchtime on a Saturday. We had a classic wrap with chicken and an Istan-bowl with beef, no mods, with a side of rosemary fries. This was one of the best lunches we’ve had at a fast casual place in a very long time. The super friendly staff and owners were a bonus. Already thinking about the next time we’ll be in Charlottesville for lunch so we can have this again!
Had the classic wrap from their food track outside the AFC. The chicken was so juicy and the sauce was delicious. A big wrap too for the price and amount of chicken given. Definitely recommend.
