We randomly found Champy's after a Google search for places to eat close by the Incline Railway. It was just a few miles away, had great reviews and we like to try new places. We were just passing through Chattanooga, but so glad we found the restaurant. It's very casual in atmosphere and the hosts very friendly. I ordered the catfish dinner, my daughter got the chicken fingers platter, my husband got the 3 piece white meat dinner and our boys sampled all of our food. The catfish was great and I loved the cole slaw. My husband and I both liked the hush puppies too, just a little kick and perfect taste. My husband and daughter both said their meals were really good. They have the best ice(nugget ice). The only negatives were only one bathroom stall ( which can create a dilemma with a newly potty trained child) and the length of some of the waitresses shorts. I can do without them being so short personally. Our waitress was very polite and friendly. She did a great job. I highly recommend this place to eat. The portions are huge though, so come hungry. We will definitely stop by again when we're in the area.

Great service and the bomb food! Would recomend the watermelon sangria and anything on the menu. Tamales were great!
Fantastic service. I sat at the bar outside and was greeted by Luci Ne-a-mius (didn’t ask how she spelled her last name). She went over the top, extremely friendly, pointed out everything on the beer list, and carded me as one should. I ordered the 3piece tender plate like I always do, wife says I’m a one legged duck but I love what I love and always get it. During she filled my water a few times and even asked when I was leaving if I needed it topped off and a lid to go. She described all the desserts and stressed the strawberry shortcake. I explained I was newly married and trying to cut a few pounds. She replied it’s winter you can wear baggy clothes and don’t have to worry until February or March! A fantastic experience and it’s a joy to see someone who enjoys their job and it shows.
One of our regular places - certainly can't beat the chicken anywhere, slaw is really delicious and the pickle/sausage/cheese thing is to die for! Oh, and the beer is cold - what more could you ask for???
Best fried chicken I've ever had! Everything was great!! Awesome atmosphere and a fun and entertaining wait staff. Marci was a terrific server. We are from Iowa and will be back again!!!
Went for the first time and Champy's chicken certainly lived up to the hype. Fun times and good food.
Great food and experience. Only thing, share a meal cause the amount of food you get is for st least 2 people.
