The best southern-cooking that I’ve ever had! Everyone was so friendly and the food was to die for. The couple we sat with drove 50 miles to eat there- that’s how good it is.
Meat and three, family style on a lazy Susan! Need I say more? This ain’t gourmet, folks. It’s comfort food like grandma used to make. Once again why the heck do these reviews have to have 140 characters?
Great dinner, great service, friendly, efficient, just a great dining experience !! It had been several years since we were in the Chattanooga area and when we entered the door, we were welcomed like old friends.
If you're looking for great southern home cooking with a buffet then you will be all over this place... Amazing food & fantastic service...
Simply Perfection!. Don't get me wrong, I could come in and eat just the potatoes, beans, and slaw ... but Bea's has the best fried chicken I have ever tasted. Simply perfection!
Jamie was the best waiter we have ever had! The food was great. Forget chicken (although it is good)-- the catfish is to die for as is the strawberry cobbler. You will not go home hungry. :-)
BEST FRIED CHICKEN. AMAZING food all the way around, but you cant beat their fried chicken, BBQ, Yeast rolls and soupy potatoes. They are delicious and you wont be able to stop with one helping. They bring the food out family style and keep it coming for as long as you can eat. Then they top it off with a piping hot cobbler or banana pudding (depending on their menu that day/night). They are closed on Monday and Tuesdays but usually open the other days except certain times of the year. Just call to find out their hours. A MUST go to place.
Best Peach Pie. They brag about the Chicken but Peach Pie is wonderful. Food is always good and fresh. I have been eating her since my Grandma feed me in a high chair. We love to go there but $28 is high for two people to eat so we can't eat there often.
Home cooked Comfort Food. Home cooked comfort food at it's best!
We were so pleased with our visit to Bea's. The method of food presentation is unique to say the least, an enjoyable meal is guaranteed each visit.
This collection of food is exactly what you would expect at Grandma's for Sunday dinner.
Thank You Bea :)
Best fried chicken in Chattanooga.
Bea's Spin ya up some good food. Bea's is yet another all you can eat location, yet prob the oldest in town .. been around for eons.. food great, fresh, the staff is great too .. this buffet you dont go to the food it comes to you .. center of the table is a lazy suzan.. and the load it up with good quality food, with good taste. If you come with only one or two .. chances are good you will sit with strangers .. but they wont be strangers for long, met some great people there that way .. location of Bea's is the only down fall.. bad side of town .. but it is safe.. never had a problem at Bea's
Bea's is hands down one of my favorite places to visit in Chattanooga! It's not located in the best area (definitely a rough spot of town), but the food is definitely worth it! All you can eat and it keeps coming! If you don't like the concept of other people you don't know sitting with you, go with a large group or don't go. But best fried chicken in town. The only thing that keeps me from going more frequently is that it's obviously not healthy- as it is authentic southern food, but it definitely makes a great treat! Also, it's $11.25 a person... I haven't read the other reviews, but considering it is all you can eat and includes water or tea, I'd say thats pretty fair.
Just finished up my food. It was great. Hot & fresh & the waitress was great. The only complaint I have is with the air conditioner not working. It was SO very hot!!!!!! It was hard to enjoy the good food & service with sweat running down my back :(
Best Home Cooking In Chatt. Love, love, love Bea's. Only discovered this wonderful gem about 2 years ago. Hands down best chicken I have had since my grandmother passed away! :-)

Great place to eat. The fried chicken and catfish were great. Can't wait to go back.
Not fancy, but really tasty and a fun experience. Bea's is definitely unique--very down-home, comfortable, friendly--it doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. A real hole-in-the-wall place with round tables that seat 8 and have a big lazy susan on the top where all the food is served and kept coming. We had a table-full, so be aware that if you go as a smaller party, you may be seated with other people. We just had a great time turning that lazy susan and talking to the other folks in the restaurant, and it's so relaxed too--you just eat what they have, there's no ordering or deciding on what looks good. The price is higher than I would prefer, as my friend would say, "They're proud of their fried chicken," but who wouldn't be? It's really good! You also get some so-so bbq beef, mashed potatoes, good rolls and great bananna pudding and berry cobbler. I don't go enough to know if this menu changes much, but I remember liking most all of it.
I like it but it's no longer the value buy that it used to be...
Amazing fried chicken. Hands down best fried chicken i've ever had. I can't believe I lived in Chattanooga for 20+ years and this is the first time I've ever even heard of this place. I loved it!
Still a great "joint". Having grown-up here and eating at Bea's for 48 years, I still like the place. That chicken, well best around. Heck I love all the food, even the Chow Chow.
They do need to re-do the bathrooms, they can create an unpleasant odor, sit away from them, but GO.
It is an experience, and if you don't like country cooking, well you won't like Bea's
Best. Consistently very good southern food, nice family atmosphere, all you can eat for a reasonable price. People come from miles away to eat Bea's fried chicken and fixin's. I've been eating there for over 50 years and have never been disappointed. You can't get a real taste of Chattanooga without stopping at Beas.
The concept at Bea’s is likely quite different than what you have encountered at other restaurants. It’s all you can eat, sure, but there’s a limited menu. That is, it isn’t a buffet…you don’t get a tray and walk through a line. Instead, you sit at a round table with a lazy Susan in the middle.
