My boyfriend and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary at Boka last night and it was such a special place to do so.
They really went above and beyond with making our anniversary feel special by giving us customized menus that said "Happy 2nd anniversary".
The service was exceptional the moment we walked in. Everyone was very welcoming and attentive, especially Jake who was taking care of us for the evening. Big kudos to him and his service.
We ended up doing their 8 course tasting menu, which changes constantly. We were delighted with every meal we tried. The flavors were warm and definitely catered to the fall/winter vibes. Such interesting combinations of ingredients and flavors. It was truly an amazing experience!!
I'd recommend sitting at the restaurant or high tops. The bar area is for someone that's coming in for a quick bite, and something more casual.
If you're looking for a delicious tasting menu, I definitely recommend Boka! It was $175 per person (without any alcohol), which I think is pretty reasonable.
Kevin, our main server, was great. Very knowledgeable and professional while still entertaining. Food was wonderful as well. We did the tasting menu and wine pairing. Would definitely order off the regular menu in the future just based on cost, but tasting menu definitely worth doing once. Would go again for a special occasion.
Amazing food! We shared the Peking duck. I would highly recommend. It was one of the best ducks I've had- crispy skin and cooked to perfection. The other plates we tried were incredible as well.
The service was decent. We did get bad seats right by the exterior wall, and it was freezing cold. I'd try avoiding those if you can.
