I am a big fan of seafood so when I say I recommend Eddie v's I mean it! My sister treated me dinner here for my birthday which I never been. They have many choices of fine seafood dinners and plates. They serve alcohol and dessert while playing beautiful music at the same time. It is definitely going down on my list of favorite memories. Our beautiful server Ericka did an amazing job on recommending size proportions so we don't over or under eat. She definitely did a great job with the dessert show she did for us too. If you want to spoil yourself I highly advise you to come this way.
Lovely place with live music. I didn't know but the place has a dress code, so you should dress well. The food its very good, with the flavours of USA, well presented. The atmosphere was amazing.

We stopped by Eddie V's this past Sunday to enjoy Happy hour before we heades to see The Wiz pre-broadway. This is only my 2nd time going to Eddie's & both times I've specifically came for the Happy Hour. I was very shocked & alittle sad when i found out they'll be closing their doors next month on Jan 19th😩
Hopefully I'll be able to make it back to try the dinner menu.
But I'd highly recommend trying the HH menu. The crab cake is 1 of the best I've ever had. The drinks are on point also.
I wasn't a huge fan of the fries, as they didn’t really taste like a truffle fry usually does. My bf didnt care for the filet bites either.
I tried the cosmo & a vodka martini w/ vermouth. I didnt care for the cosmo but didn’t have time to try any of the other drinks. My bf tried the Bulliet & that was pretty good.
I love the live music performer that was present. She had an Adelle spice about her & her voice was beautiful.
This is definitely a nice spot for a post work wind down! Make sure you check them out before their last day!
I went for my birthday a few months ago after receiving their email wishing me a happy birthday. I seen Banana’s Foster (my favorite) so I had to go!!! 😍 I had the Lobster Tacos🦞🌮 and Cesar Salad. A few weeks later I seen an Instagram post saying they plan to close January 14, 2024 🥺😢. This is the second time I’ve taken myself on a date here. I’ll try to find the pictures from when I went the first time. I hope they reconsider and stay open🥺. I enjoyed the live music with the piano and the lovely artists that come and sing.

We cannot thank the Eddie V's team enough for their time, effort and outstanding service for our recent business team dinner. Every member of the team was incredible - friendly, helpful, flexible and extremely professionally. The entire booking process with our requests and changes took nearly a month and was executed perfectly from start to finish.
Judie went above and beyond to help us with the challenging arrangements posed by our organization. She was patient and thorough. We took up so much of her time and had some unconventional payment requests but she helped us work through them. She dealt with many iterations of changes and even helped us with the flowers at the last minute and they were perfect. There are too many details to cover but let me say, she left no detail unattended! We must’ve had over 30 phone calls! She was truly outstanding and we could not have done it without her.
Also a shout out to Sarah for being open, flexible and so professional. She helped with a lot of the behind the scenes requests and also made sure the evening was smooth for us.
Please also thank our servers. They were both swift and attentive.
The food and drinks were great too! This place is perfect for a business team dinner but equally enjoyable with friends and family.
We will definitely recommend Eddie V's Chicago to our friends and colleagues!
We came for our anniversary, and had the best experience! We had blue point oysters, the crabcake was phenomenal, the Seabass- better than lobster- and scallops with stuffed shrimp. Just when we thought we couldn’t eat anymore, They surprised us with a dessert sampler and champagne. Our waitress, originally from the Cleveland area, was attentive, and very friendly. They had a trio playing live music, which made the evening that much more special. Will definitely come back again!
The ambiance is infused with darkness and romance. The atmosphere is heightened by the presence of live music, alongside the soothing hum of conversations and the gentle clinking of utensils and dinnerware. Above all, our waiter exhibited impressive expertise regarding the menu, and the food itself was nothing short of delightful.
It was a great Birthday experience. The young lady who was our server I believe her name was Erica. She was a vibrant and energetic busy be. She made sure we had everything we needed. I enjoyed the live music and ambiance. This place was wonderful.
Great spot at the corner of Rush and Grand. I know it’s a seafood place, but the filet mignon is spectacular! And the Caesar salad- yum! And Warm Belgian Chocolate Cake- another yum. Nice, live jazz music. Quite a treat all the way around!
Eddie V's in Chicago is always a great experience. Most of the time I sit at the bar and Margaret and Alejandro are the best. I love that when I go there now the bartender Alejandro already knows my favorite drinks. When they had new drinks he always explained the changes and his recommendations based on what I like.. excellent work :). I really recommend going there..excellent drinks/food and service.
Oh my gosh, Eddie Vs is wonderful. 5/5! My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary and we were blown away from the moment we walked in the door. The service was impeccable. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive throughout the entire meal. The food was delicious. We got the crab cake as an appetizer and it was to die for delicious. For our meals we got the filet mignon, and bone in NY Strip. For sides we got the lobster mashed potatoes and the au gratin potatoes. They were sharing size sides which was great. Everything was wonderful! Not one negative word to say about this location. Amazing experience and will be back again! Highly recommend Eddie V's!
All around wonderful food quality, customer service, and atmosphere. Enjoyed fresh oysters with great horseradish, unique cocktails, fresh salad, and flavorful sea bass and steak. Enjoy!

My fiancé and I celebrated our anniversary at Eddie V's Prime Seafood and were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our dining experience. The restaurant's ambiance was impeccable, and the perfect setting for our special night out. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, and our servers Rosa and Margo were exceptional in providing us with top-tier service throughout the evening.
We started our culinary adventure with an exquisite selection of East and West coast oysters, namely the Misty Point, Oishi, and Steamboat. Each oyster variety was bursting with fresh, briny flavors that complemented the side sauces. We then enjoyed the yellowtail sashimi, jumbo lump crab cake, and the Maine lobster bisque. Each dish was expertly prepared and beautifully presented, showcasing the freshness and quality of the ingredients.
For our main course, we indulged in the Chilean Sea Bass and the Georges Bank Scallops, which were both cooked to perfection. The Chilean Sea Bass was succulent and flaky, while the scallops were plump and bursting with flavor.
To cap off the evening, as a gift for our anniversary, we were presented with a delightful plate of fresh berries for dessert. The sweet, juicy berries were the perfect way to end our exquisite dining experience.

I cannot say enough great things about the wonderful experience that I had at Eddie V's last night. My sister and I came here after receiving terrible treatment at Steak48, and I honestly wish that we had come to Eddie V's first instead. The service at Eddie V's compared to Steak48 was night and day. Upon arriving at Eddie V's (with no reservation, mind you), we were greeted so warmly and kindly by the hostess, Zonosh (apologies if I misspelled her name). We were seated quickly and received impeccable service from Tyler, who was incredibly personable and attentive. The gentlemen who brought the food out and bagged our leftovers were also super nice and professional. All around, the treatment was on par with what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. Even the manager came by more than once to ensure that we were enjoying our meal and experience.
The food at Eddie V's is always 10/10. We both had the fillets, which were cooked to a perfect medium rare. We also ordered the crab fried rice and Brussels sprouts. Everything was so good! I also had a Grey Goose cosmo that was perfectly balanced.
I am a firm believer that rejection is protection. The experience at Eddie V's more than made up for the terrible customer service at Steak48. I am glad we ended up here instead. Keep up the good work!
Our server was EXCELLENT. He was very knowledgeable, personable, funny, and attentive. Dinner was paced very well.
The oysters were amazing. We wanted to order more, but knew the food journey we were on would not allow. The New York strip with the lobster tail was cooked to perfection.
The filet was beyond perfect, the scallops brown butter sauce seeped into the steak making perfect even better. The cocktail selection was on point as well. We finally settled on the maverick and the hope diamond as our champions. Would highly recommend.

Compared to other places, it is quiet and we're able to have a conversation without shouting.
