Found this place by accident (restaurant we wanted to go to had an hour wait) and was blown away. Service was impeccable, there when you need them but not bothering you otherwise. Food was amazing. My girlfriend said it's the best dinner she's had in Chicago (lived here for 5 years) and some of the best Italian food she's had outside of Italy. Go for the branzino in lemon sauce if it's on the specials. I had the short rib fiorentino which was also excellent. Absolutely a must try.
New to the neighborhood. Not a single person friendly place. But, if you do no mind a single table.. the food is amazing. I had beef carpaccio (which was delicious, highly recommend) and a veal shank. I substituted mine for some greens, cause it is a hearty meal in itself. My server, Theo was very lively and efficient and had the best wine recommendation. Food came out fast. They do not have a bar (unfortunately) but they have dreams (clearly) Will be back, hopefully with a date 😂😂😂
It’s really more like 4.5/5. The food and service are both great, but not WOW great, especially given the price. Got the veal filled ravioli and tiramisu. The ravioli is well made but the sauce lacks a some flavour, still delicious though. The finger cookies in the tiramisu are quite sweet so some fruits will go very nicely with it. They seem a little understaffed so the servers are not very attentive but the overall experience is still great.
Great place for Italian food. Menu had lots to choose from. Service was friendly, attentive and quick.
Molto Bono! What a great place. It’s a lovely old building and a charming dining area. We were there with multiple patrons, celebrating birthdays, as well as other patrons just having a nice night out.
From the moment we entered to the time we left, the service was impeccable.
The food is great and well prepared.
It is no wonder why this is one of the best Italian eateries in the Chicago area!
Absolutely amazing Italian restaurant - every dish we had was excellent, as were the drinks and dessert. Everyone there was uber attentive and friendly. This is definitely one I would come back to next time I am in Chicago.
Delicious! Went there for dinner last weekend this is an excellent Italian spot I totally recommend. I had the Rigatoni Alla Buttera and really enjoyed it. My friends got the Gnocchi and raved about it.
The customer service was also excellent. One of my friends ran the marathon the next day and had to eat a bland meal (not on the menu). They were so accommodating to her dietary needs that they made her something that wasn’t available on the menu - it ended up being perfect and she ended up getting the time she was training for in the race.
Definitely going back. Thank you!
I placed a large order for delivery through their website on a Saturday night. After an order pick up mix up (by DoorDash), I called the restaurant to see about rectifying the error. The man I spoke to had already remade my entire order and sent his hostess to deliver it to me. The food arrived just minutes after I spoke with him. Errors like this happen, but the restaurant immediately made it right and everyone I had over loved the food. I would highly recommend this restaurant not only for the food, but the exceptional service!
Lovely environment and great service. We went around 5 and received prompt service, with each dish coming out at the perfect time. Bread, appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all top-notch. Definitely a must try!
Can't recommend Riccardo's enough.
Wonderful food and drinks but it was the service that really created an unforgettable experience.
Diligent, knowledgable and really friendly. Made to feel at home which only enhanced the enjoyment of the top class dishes.
Would return in a heartbeat when return to Chicago.
Absolutely superb food! I shared the gnocchi with Speck and the seabass and finished with the tiramisu. All were excellent, served with a great bottle of chianti by very nice staff who were polite and accommodating despite the fact that we were dining late and were the last table left. Thoroughly recommended!
It was good. Standard pasta but good service. It's a little place and they cram a lot of seats in there that mainly why I don't give it 5 stars.
Just had an incredible dining experience at an authentic Italian restaurant!
🍝 The ambiance was cozy and inviting, the service was top-notch, and the food was divine. Every bite was bursting with flavor and the homemade pasta was perfection.

We enjoyed our meal and our waiter was wonderful! We had different friends recommend eating at Chicago Pizza and Oven Roaster, but accidentally went through the wrong door and ate here instead. The atmosphere felt refined and upscale. We were dressed for pizza and felt a bit underdressed after realizing we were in the wrong place. The eggplant dish was my favorite!! We will likely stop back in on a future trip.
The best Italian food I've had outside of actuality being in Italy. The service was fast and friendly. I would highly recommend this place located near Lincoln Park.
I highly recommend this small Italian restaurant in Lincoln Park (Clark St just north of Dickens). If you dine between 4-6pm M-Th, there is a $38 3-course menu which is a good value.
The restaurant has a nice ambiance, excellent food and very good service (waiter Luis provided great service). I do not recommend the Burrata Prosciutto Crostini appetizer which lacks flavor and was a bit off.
I highly recommend the veal scaloppine and lemon torte with vanilla gelato. Keep in mind that portions are not very large. I’ve been told the pasta is made freshly daily.
Cost of the early bird dinner menu, 2 drinks and coffee was $73 for one person.
