Wonderful place. Definitely lives up the the stellar reputation. The maple bacon is fantastic, pork bellies finished in house, about half an inch thick. The seafood tower was amazing, and the calamari with hot peppers was perfect. My steak was phenomenal and truly among the best to be found. They have regular steaks, dry aged steaks, and Japanese offerings. The sides were wonderful, the mushrooms and creamed spinach were superb. Definitely pay a visit.

Everything was delicious! But, my goodness the attention the staff paid was just the best. We had a reservation and ended up having to wait 15-20 minutes for our table, and they comped us a round of drinks for the inconvenience. Thank you for taking care of us! And, the live jazz on Saturday night was amazing!

Been to Benny's twice. First time was over 4 years ago and the food is still as amazing as it was then. The dry-aged tomahawk ribeye we shared was cooked perfectly. The sides were a great addition and the ambiance screams traditional steakhouse. They do traditional correctly. Glad we were able to come back.

RIP Benny’s ! =( ate there the day before the closed up shop. Sorry to see them go because it was one of the better steaks in chicago. Went for Tomahawk with mushrooms . The steak was cooked perfectly... red and warm in the center and crisp and delicious on the outside.

Incredible selection of steaks both dry and wet aged. Wait staff was attentive and efficient. Several members of our dinner party however got cocktails that were a "little shallow" and without garnishment. Aside from that if was a great meal that ended with a round of Louis XIII Almost forgot, the bartender was a class act..Good man.

Wow! Really good experience. At our table we had the bacon appetizer which was ridiculously good. It was a very thick cut and reminded me more of pork belly. The traditional filet and dry aged bone-in rib eye were spot on. Sides we tried included the creamed corn and twice bake potato. Finished off the meal with coffee and creme brûlée. From start to finish this meal was perfect.

Had a very night dinner at Benny's enjoying a salad a lovely 10oz filet mignon and one of their gorgeous deserts. All dishes were brought promptly so no wait at all. The ambience was really nice, calm and confortable and the lady who cared about me was really lovely. I didn't feel any pressure about any choice (I don't drink wine for instance) and as I run on water I was served tap water (which is really fine to me) instead of being charged for a bottle of water.

Wonderful experience at Benny's Chop House. Our server was fantastic, I wish I could remember her name, she's worked there for 6 years and takes the time to make your meal an experience. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and they treated us like royalty with customized menus and special tourches to our deserts. I had the 18 oz dry aged bone-in ribery and it was marvelous. My wife had the Kobeskirt steak and was impressed how flavorful it was. We shared a decadent side of macaroni and cheese with bacon. For desert we split a lemon tart and I added a scoop of fresh berries sorbet. Our friends chose what had to have been 2 prouds of carrot cake and cream cheese frosting, the picture doesn't do it justice.

Two germans for their first time in chicago. We were looking for a steakhouse and Benny's was just around the corner. Great ambiente, excellent service and the steaks were grilled to perfection. I wanted it Chicago Style / Pittsburgh rare and it was a perfect experience! We had several other steaks in steakhouses the next days, but they were all not satisfying. That's why, next time I'm in chicago it has to be Benny's Chop House again and I'm looking forward already!

Good restaurant in chicago, anyway I think there are better restaurant in Chigago anyway. Good steaks but also good seafood. Good service . Price high but in line with chicago restaurant .

Great ambiance and fantastic service. Our servers were prompt, my glass was always full, the sides were great. The decor was really great. I did find my steak, the most important part, cooked slightly too much (ordered medium and got almost no pink in most of it—I would call it medium well). The restroom was also missing a basket, so used towels were going through the hole in counter straight to the floor...

Overly impressed. I never write a review.... but, again, wow. Showed up early for our 7:30 reservation and seated tables were sparse. Not a great sign, but it was a Monday. One of the wines I ordered was the incorrect vintage, which the somm immediately acknowledged. Other than that, thoroughly impressed with food, drink, and service. If you're looking for a power dinner or a wonderful dining experience in Chicago, this is it. Don't miss this gem! Thank you all for such a memorable night. I'll be back.
