A friend and I came here last night for dinner, and absolutely loved it!! Highly recommend dining outside in the most gorgeous patio I have been to in the city! So thankful a lady we met earlier recommended this place! She said the Italian food was authentic and delicious, and she was definitely right! My friend had the margarita pizza, and I had the butternut squash ravioli!! We were highly impressed! Plus our server knew we were in a time crunch, so he went out of his way to get our food order in right away! We kept saying how romantic the ambiance was outside on the patio! We will definitely be back!

My family and I went to Piccolo Sogno to celebrate my dad’s birthday. Everything was beyond amazing! From the service, to the food, to the atmosphere. I love that they offer gluten free options (which is a huge plus for health reasons). I had the ribeye steak with salad. I didn’t finish it all that night and had the remaining the next day- it tasted just as juicy as it did the night before! If you go during the summer, eating in the patio is a must. Can’t wait to go back :)

Anyone who would give this establishment less than 5 stars is someone looking for fault. Starting with the host at the door through the wait staff, managers and chef's, there isn't one person who doesn't attend to your needs. The menu is incredible and everything I have tried has been more than expected. The pizzas are an incredible way to start your meal. The crust is light and the toppings are rich in flavor. The salads are what you would expect if you made it from your own garden. The salmon was better than I could have ever imagined. Just the right amount of seasoning while it melted in your mouth once it passed the lips. For God sake even the table bread was incredible with the balsamic that is on the table. Thank you for another unforgettable experience!!!!

Went there because the restaurant we went before was over crowded with 2 hours waiting. It was meant to be! Friendly, amazing staff and service. The first things the waiter asked was about food allergies! I am allergic to seeds, nuts, and can't have any gluten. Was able to have gluten free pasta. My friend and I were sharing, and the waiter told us that what he selected had gluten. The food was delicious and the portions were big. Definetely I wll be back!

I love this place. Our server was very attentive to my lady & I. The food was amazing. We ate outside & the decor was very well thought out. Can't wait to go back & try other menu options. The Halibut is a "must have" along with the 4 cheese ravioli.

Amazing food and exceptional wine list as well! Maribel was wonderful! Great midweek break week during a conference in the City. Had not been in a while and will definitely go back to enjoy the patio in the coming months.

We've dined here many times and each time it's consistently good. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We also lucked out with great weather on the patio. I had the frute di mare, our friend The pasta bolognese and my husband the branzino...all excellent. Two bottles of wine and some shared deserts and we were happy campers. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic! Four people each ordered a different meal and we shared with each other. The sea bass, and the Wild bore papardelli were so delicious. Ask your server for recommendations, and take them up on them. You will not be disappointed! The garden seating is beautiful

Ordered one antipasti and one pasta, both are really good. For the antipasti I ordered burrata. It was a good combination with the bread served. For the main dish, although it provides a smaller size, I found no problem finishing the full size. I also paired the main dish with a glass of white wine recommended by the server. With some simple ingredients, shrimps, tomatoes, spinach, it's still very tasty. The atmosphere was also great. Would definitely visit again in the future.

MY MUST GETS: - Spaghetti Neri - Paperdelle Love this place! At first thought it was a little pricey but when the food came, I think the prices are absolutely reflected in the quality and the portion sizes. I went with a large group and they were super accommodating! Our food still came out very efficiently and was all really good. Pasta portions were huge and they did not skimp on any protein whatsoever. Valet parking on site available for $16 which is a great especially in the city. Will 100% be coming back!

One of us loved the meal, one didn't like it... and I thought the fish was cooked beautifully but needed some seasoning. The risotto was good. We sat at a table in the back at first but it was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk. We ended up sitting at yhe bar and the bartender was very good.

I recently embarked on a culinary adventure at Piccolo Sogno, and boy, was it a night to remember! Let me set the stage for you: imagine a courtyard so lush it makes your houseplants jealous, and the lighting? Well, let's just say it was so perfect that even my phone's flashlight was having an identity crisis. Now, onto the food, because we didn't come for the plant life appreciation club (though we did sneak a few jealous glances at the greenery). We kicked things off with the Pulpo appetizer – tender octopus that was so good it might've inked a contract for a sequel! Next up, the beef carpaccio – thinly sliced and fancy enough to make a cow blush. It was like eating a Picasso painting, but tastier. Then came the main event: a whole branzino cuta and prepared tableside. I half expected a marching band and a fireworks display, but alas, it was just our talented server. Savory, buttery deliciousness. But the real star of the show was the slow braised beef short rib over polenta. It was so tender you could cut it with a gentle whisper, and the polenta? Creamy enough to make mashed potatoes rethink their life choices. Let's not forget about the wine selection; it was so extensive I had to check if I'd accidentally wandered into a vineyard. The staff's recommendations were spot-on, ensuring that each sip complemented our meal like a well-rehearsed duet. And finally, we capped off our night with espresso martinis. Trust me, these are a must-try. They had more kick than a caffeinated kangaroo on a trampoline – the perfect jolt to end our culinary escapade. Oh, but I can't wrap up this tale without giving a standing ovation to the impeccable service staff at Piccolo Sogno. They were like culinary conductors, orchestrating our meal with finesse and flair.

This place is amazing. The food, wait staff, the ambiance is great. I'm such a fan of their Margherita Pizza - always fresh ingredients and piping hot. Sitting outside is a must!!!! My coworkers and I favorite spot near the job. Self parking is limited in this area but they do have valet parking.

Piccolo Sogno -"little dream" in Italian. Let me tell you, Piccolo Sogno is absolutely a DREAM!!!!! From start to end our end there was nothing but magic here. Luckily for us, we had Erick Pizano who told us what was happening with the menu. Erick told us what he thought would elevate our experience, and he did just that. He made sure our drinks paired with everything coming to our table. Go have a wild dream and escape reality at Piccolo Sogno and ask for Erick, Molly sent you

The outdoor space at Piccolo Sogno is really fantastic. We had out of town guests and I knew bringing them here on a nice spring day wouldn’t disappoint. So definitely 5 stars for ambiance and service. The wait staff were all very friendly and patient, especially since we had a baby in our party. Reason for 4 star vs 5 star is I’ve eaten here for many years (at least over 10 years) and thru time the flavour has changed. I’m obviously not Italian but a real Italian colleague used to rave about Piccolo Sogno in the past and say it was the best and most authentic to food in Italy. But in more recent times he also felt the food has changed. Doesn’t mean the food is bad, since our party enjoyed the food but it has lost some of the authenticity from years ago.

Absolutely love this restaurant from the service they provide to the scenery atmosphere of the whole restaurant. Takes you out of the modern Chicago all the way back to Italy. What I like about them is they stick to tradition, especially with their wines always cater to the captain of the table . The price is well worth the food, quality and quantity. They have an amazing specials menu with such d delicious desserts. One of my favorite restaurants to go to in Chicago. And on the plus side it’s right next to the train line
