If I could give this review 6 stars I would. It was hands down the best Chinese food I've ever had in my life surpassing Dragon Palace of Greenfield,IN. The the pork and shrimp dumplings are to die for. Everything top notch quality. Words can't describe how delicious and top notch quality this place serves up!
The food is always amazing, its the waitresses !! that really makes the hole experience a bit bitter.. I really recommend this as one of my favorite spots for food..❤️❤️😋😋
I hate Chinese food buffets, the food is very grease but Ming Hin Cuisine change my mind about Chinese food, believe me this is a very good Chinese food.
Excelent service, reasonable prices.
I’ll come back.
Absolutely loved the food and service. Our server was outstanding we had a group of vegetarians he explained some of the sauces co rained oyster and had them adjusted to fit their needs. Food was unique not typical Chinese fair. We went crazy over the cucumber appetizer. Thanks for such a wonderful experience.
I made a reservation for my family to dine at MingHin this past Sunday and I was incredibly pleased with the service we received. My younger brother had recently developed a peanut allergy and I made sure to include that info in my reservation details. When we arrived the waiter brought up the allergy issue before i had a chance to mention it. Our waiter took the time to discuss the menu with my mother and offered alternative dishes that were safe for my brother to eat (peanut- free). She was patient with us and very attentive. We had an enjoyable experience. The service we received was exceptional, the food was delicious and there were no allergic reactions. I will gladly patronize their establishment again.
I haven’t had dim-sum like this in years... the BBQ duck and BBQ pork was perfection. The ingredients were fresh and all was beautifully presented... All-in-All a phenomenal experience...
We loved it! Took my parents there who came to visit from Europe and the food was superb! Great quality of products, steaming hot, amazing jasmin tea, friendly staff, great experience all together! We will be back again and again. Thank you
Yum! Service, meh. One of our dining companions is a vegetarian but all the "vegetarian" dishes had meat. The server told her she had to request no meat. Weird.
Hands down best Chinese cuisine to date.... clean environment, exceptional staff, and Thank you for the best fortune
Best place to eat in Chinatown. Food is reasonably priced and delicious
What a great restaurant. Keep up the great work. The service was fantastic and the place was beautiful.
The place looked lovely with their spacious seating and the bright lighting. The staff seemed friendly and had good recommendations for us. We tried the egg tools and the chicken in stick which were delicious. Their lamb on stick looked really good but didn't meet my expectations. However I liked their chicken fried rice much, but I would recommend anyone to mention it to be made spicy if they preferred. I also took their child milk tea with Tapioca which went well after the nice dinner. Overall it was a good start for my first Chinatown visit here in Chicago!
Authentic Cantonese Cuisine
We were directed to Ming Hin Cuisine rather than Chinatown for yum cha and we were very pleased with the experience. Lots of choices of delicious food. Those from Hong Kong were delighted with the fresh, flavoursome and authentic fare, the rest of us enjoyed it from a less knowledgeable perspective but delicious is delicious in any language.
we wanted to go to the china town in chicago, but found one nearby from our hotel which was also a chain from the china town. great dim sum and food.
Lovely place and excellent food. What I love about this place is their small portion of food that helps me taste diverse variety of food.
I had been here with my friend about 2 months ago and now writing the reviews.
We ordered for pan fried vegetable roll, egg yolk paste bun , veg noodles and egg yolk tart ( that's what I think it was called...pic with yellow inside a tart)
I loved each and every thing I ordered here. And so much value for money. My best was the egg yolk tart though I do not know the name of dish. Soo crisp , just melts in your mouth and perfect sweet taste.
Apart from the tasty food you get here, the staff are extremely courteous and helpful.
Must visit and highly recommended!!! Yummmm food and good value for money. Not to forget the small portions that's pretty helpful.
Amazing The restaurant is so authentic Like a food court Very organised from ordering to picking up Amazingly friendly staff The best hotdogs and milkshake ever Must doAmazing The restaurant is so authentic Like a food court Very organised from ordering to picking up Amazingly friendly staff The best hotdogs and milkshake ever Must do
Best place for dim sum in Chicago. There's nothing else better. I tried all of them including the big dim sum boys in Chicago chinatown: Phoenix, Cai, Dolo, Triple Crown, etc. Ming Hin took first place.
The roast pork is so good and their dim sum selection is very comprehensive filled with classic dishes like har gao and shu mai to creative ones like my fave pineapple buns and all kinds of different dumplings. They also offers various congees - standard pork and century egg to chicken and abalone.
They're also fantastic for dinner with various fancy elevated Chinese seafood dish.
This is probably the most successful restaurant in Chinatown. They kept expanding and buying space of their next door neighbors.
Dim sum crowd and wait are quite crazy in the weekend. Just be patient and don't come starving already. The wait would be well worth it.
Open late... Great dim sum at like 2 in the morning. Great ending to a fun day in the city.
Superb. An excellent meal.
True Chinese food in the USA!
Good service, excellent atmosphere and food that was fantastic.
We had Chicken Corn Soup, absolutley delicious! Their Duck was superb, mouthwateringly so!!! Their General Tso's Chicken was flavor some and perfect!
My wife has a delicate palate and the General Tso was not to spicy for her, I am a fire eater so I added asian chilli and the world was good :)
The vegetables were perfectly cooked.
So refreshing to have great Chinese food over the abundance of mediocre everywhere........
Fancy dining for a great price. I must say, we didnt expect much when we decided to eat here, but the ambience, service, food and the price just surprised us all in all.
Service was a little tricky because we didnt know whether the other "uniformed" (they wore their own restaurant shirts, which i thought was a cool thing and way better than apron and white shirt) people was our server as well as the main server (who wore a different shirt).
but they had fancy boxed napkins in the center of the table, which toothpicks and the seats were comfortable. The design/decor was very pleasing.
This is our favorite dimsum place now! We can't wait to come back for more!
Great food. Be ready for bigger than normal dimsum portions when you order.
Best Dim Sum in Chicago. Extremely good made-to-order dim sum. We came by on a Saturday and the wait was about 25 minutes but well worth it. The four of us had an assortment of about 18 dishes and everything was a near textbook example of how to prepare each dish. The siu mai, for example, so often a soggy afterthought at other restaurants, were huge, plump, juicy and absolutely delicious.
Every single dish was neither too oily nor too salty, as is often the case in other places.
The crowd is noticeably young and stylish - mostly under 30
Amongst this popular crowd, MingHin has created its own place amongst these older players. It has revolutionized the dim sum eating scene in Chinatown as it has presented a fresh-approach to dim sum service. In particular, they have rolled out the dim sum carts and replaced them with a made-to-order offering. Pan-fried, steamed, or deep-fried, MingHin cooks up flavorful, well-priced, traditional, and pristine Chinese cuisine.
As you can imagine, not many places are open at 10:00 p.m. on a Friday night in China Town for Dim Sum, but we found Minghin. The atmosphere is a bit strange. You have some decently bright lighting, chandeliers, and glass cases with shells (or something?) in them while still getting a full meal for under $10. We ordered an assortment of things (no dim sum cart here) but my favorite was the pork bun.

Definitely 5 stars. Food was well flavored. Serve respected dietary restrictions.
I just don't know why our Asian server with the sandy dyed hair decided to tell me his name is "Joe" but even the receipt said "Allen"🤔
Also didn't get the greatest portion of noodles for $18 veggie plate.....
The food was very fresh and delicious. You can tell they make a lot of their sauces in house. Prices are also very reasonable, especially considering it's Chicago.
This place was pretty good for my first time. I arrived with a party of 2 and was seated immediately with no wait. We were given a menu but I felt they took a little long too come take our order. I ordered a vegetable fried rice plate and added shrimp on a tablet they provided, but when our plate arrived it had no shrimp. I looked at the receipt and instead of adding shrimp they added extra vegetables to my vegetable fried rice. Pretty disappointed but the flavor was still good. I also order the crab rangoons and they were delicious. The place was good but missed the mark a little on the service side.

Even though they were incredibly busy they attended us rapidly. Great place to have Dim Sum and Fried noodles and rice.
I have never been to China but I’m sure this is exactly what good Chinese food tastes like!
Went for dim sum on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered a bunch of dishes and a couple entrees. The portion sizes here were hella large, you definitely get your money’s worth. The food tasted good, not the greatest Chinese food you’ll eat but still delicious. I’d recommend going with your friends or family and eating “family style” instead of ordering by yourself.
Quiet authentic, this time I try the sea cucumber this….braised in oyster sauce in Cantonese Style…not slimy and have a good texture…who love sea cucumber should try this one.
Great for HongKong style Dim Sum…this time I went to China Town branch
Baked pork bun is a perfection! We also ordered chicken feet, Siumai, eggdrop soup, fried noodle, smelt fish, fried pork belly.
We went there on a Friday 11 pm until they closed at midnight.
I was blown away by this place. My friend went here with her colleagues two nights before and she took me here! The dim sum here is big size and full of flavor. The roast duck is perfectly roasted: crispy skin, juicy meat, and barely noticeable fat. The shrimp wrapped in the flat noodle is so mellow. The highlight for dessert is the lava pineapple bun. We were so full and satisfied. This place has become one of my most favorite of all times!
First time doing dim sum. Quite the experience.
Here's a list of all 11 items ranked:
Must get:
1. BBQ pork bao- bao was soft and airy, pork was the perfect compliment
2. Deep fried shrimp roll- the amount of shrimp inside was unbeatable
3. Siu mai- beef and shrimp complimented each other very well
4. Chaozhou style dumpling- flavor explosion in my mouth
Would get again:
5. Country style dumpling- similar to the chaozhou but not as flavorful
6. Deep fried pork dumpling- loved the crisp outisde and soft inside
7. Baked bbq pork bun- the bun was so soft and inside was not too sweet
8. Deep fried jumbo sesame ball- subtly sweet but would have liked a filling inside
Disappointed:
9. Short rib with honey sauce- was looking for more of a honey flavor and tender meat
10. BBQ pork crepe- was hoping it was like the bun or bao but in crepe form; no need for this one when there are similar bbq pork options are on the menu
Not for me:
11. Stir fried sticky rice- none of us liked it as we barely touched it; weird flavor that can't be explained
They were very busy as we waited to get seated. Unfortunately, they took a long time between our first order (split that into two seperate deliveries) and the second order. We got to the point where we were full and not really excited to eat the rest.
Overall, a very fun time and looking forward to coming back and trying out some of the other items.
We enjoyed my daughter’s birthday here. The green beans and beef were the standout dish and everyone’s favorite. The pork fried rice and chow mein were very good. I loved the crab and corn soup. The short ribs and pork belly were ok but wouldn’t order that combination again. The orange chicken was ok but the group’s least favorite dish.
Beautiful atmosphere. The food is pretty. I love that you can have dim sum all day.
The eggplant dish is delicious.
This restaurant is well known Chinese place. Reservations are not needed but recommended. We didn’t have to wait for table of 4. The food is one of the best Chinese out there for sure. Dimsum were really fresh. And chicken fried rice and beef stir fried noodle were excellent. The restroom needs big improvement. Parking across the street they will validate for you and it will become just $2 for three hours.
They had a large variety of food and most were pretty good! Highly recommend their chicken feet and bbq pork buns. Their drinks were pretty strong too! Servers didn't talk too much but was good.
the food here was great! the dim sum was super delicious. the niu he and fried tofu were my favorite. i came here with friends and family, and it was a great place to have a group lunch. great place for food if you’re in chinatown!
A very nice place in Chinatown Chicago. We spent around $40 USD per person, ordering from everything to taste a little bit. The service was fast, they had a table right away. The only issue is parking is difficult but overall an A+!
No wait for a party of 5. We arrived around 7:15 pm on a Thursday night (marathon weekend).
You order on a tablet. Our server was friendly.
We ordered egg rolls. They were ok. I wouldn’t order them again.
We also ordered crab Rangoon. Those were good but not cooked evenly on each side. One side was more crispy.
We also ordered the 1.5 plate of orange chicken and 1.5 plate of kung Pao chicken. Portions of them both were huge. I’d say 3-4 people could eat off of the 1.5 plates. Flavors were good not great.
Dined in from out of town as we saw the place was highly rated. Would try other places before coming back.
Owners were excellent and friendly.
Parking is a bit of a mess and very limited.
