We honestly had the best experience here!!
My boyfriend and I just landed to Chicago from Cali, & were super hungry. We check in and it’s a 45 -1 hour wait. As we are waiting outside, Scott the waiter tells us would you guys like to sit in the patio! It’s available! We were Just shocked! Hands down he is the most amazing waiter we have meet! No one has given us the costumer service he did! He def makes unos pizza looks amazing!!!!!!! Amazing!!! He made us feel like home! He explained everything super well, cut up our pizza served us! Wow still shocked! We love you unos pizza and SCOTT thank you for the amazing welcome! However the deep dish pizza let’s just say I died and came back to life! Nothing like I ever tasted before! The tomato, cheese and everything about it was just delicious! I will never forget Chicago pizza! Unos def has the best one! We love you! See you soon!
I put my order in and headed to Starbucks for the 45 minutes it takes for the deep dish to bake as there were people out the door waiting on a seat. It was definitely worth it. My first time in the windy city so I had to get a deep dish from the place it got its start. Very good pizza.
Great pizza place at the heart of the city, friendly and very accommodating staff! One of my to go place for visiting friends out of state, we always complement the good food, friendly staff and local beer they serve! 👍
We were looking for an authentic Chicago pizza experience, and we certainly found it! This is the original Chicago deep dish. The family running it (I’m guessing they were family, because they seemed that tight knit) is kind, lively, informative, and hospitable. The atmosphere is cozy and interesting. The pizza is WOW! We had the spinach with added mushrooms, and it was out of this world! I feel lucky to have chances upon this gem!
We are from Kansas City, MO and always have to eat at Pizzeria Uno when we come to Chicago! The food is amazing and the people are awesome! Courtney was our server, David ran our pizza out, Marlena made our buffalo bites and Lemont prepared our pizza! It’s great!
Pizza is to die for! Just absolutely delicious! We've never had one quite like the ones made here..they were thick deep dish, juicy from the actual tomatoes in the sauce, and a hefty layer of cheese--under the sauce. Wish we had one of these in Michigan!! Next time I go to Chicago, I'll be eating here again!

The pizza was great !!! Our server was great and on top of everything we needed plus she is 84 years old !!
When you visit Chicago you need to try a Deep Dish Pizza, and there is no where else you should visit. The staff and food are first class. And the pizza. Worth the wait
We were lucky enough to get a table for 6 with no waiting. Food and service was excellent. Waitress even wrote down places for us to see during our visit. Would definitely recommend!
It was amazing!!! Amazing staff! The food was on point!
Took their pizza making class, so much fun! April and Lupe were so friendly and certainly made the class! If you get a chance to sign up, do... you won’t regret the fun and experience!
Was a good experience. Deep dish takes 45-60min to make. A medium size will feed 3 adults easily. Its tasty but still has the flavour profile of standard pizza. The crust was very tasty!
So we were in Chicago for a business trip, and we end up getting to the hotel, very late, and most of the restaurants in the area, already closed or about to close. As we randomly walk around the streets of downtown Chicago, we happen to see a place called Pizzeria Uno and decide to stop in to eat dinner since it looks cool And is actually open. To our surprise when we enter, it turns out to be the original location of Uno, and allegedly the original deep dish pizza. The staff were super friendly, and the venue was super cool looking, with a vintage atmosphere. They had a full-service bar as you walk in, and I was surprised to see they had whiskeys such as EH Taylor, Weller, etc. I ordered a double of EH Taylor, which set the mood for the evening. We ordered the Uno special per the recommendation of the staff, and we were actually quite happy with it. We have in the past tried deep dish Chicago pizza from a place that starts with a G, although it was in Orlando, because that’s where we actually lived, and we were not impressed. After eating that deep dish, my wife, and I agreed that we would never eat deep dish ever again, and at the time we only had a couple bites of that soupy pizza and gave the rest to a neighbor. We also had the house made meatballs, which were quite delicious. The deep dish pizza had meatball slices, onions, bell peppers, and pepperoni, along with the hearty tomato sauce and cheese, of course. Service was great, and they were very friendly. The price was reasonable and we were happy. We still prefer New York style pizza, but now we know that Chicago style deep dish is actually edible depending on where you get it.
Amazing. Lives up to the hype. Excellent service. Steeped in tradition. Server let us know it would be a wait for the pizza but it would be worth it and it was. Looked and tasted home cooked and had a ton of flavor. It’s a great experience you have to have if you’re in town.
One of the first Chicago style pizza, if not the first. The deep dish pizza comes in 30-45 min - don’t get a too large pie, it’s most likely to be enough as it is quite thick and dense. You can’t really call this a pizza but it’s acceptable as a savoury crusted pastry. Good by itself and good to try.
My little pizza peanut was adored by the staff tonight she loves pizza, when she started getting impatient the manager spoke in the headset to the kitchen that Bonnie was hungry🤣 to me that was the best response. Another staff member gave my daughter free fries she loved those. Me personally not a huge fan of deep dish it wasn't bad but I just don't prefer the mixing the mozzarella cheese with ricotta. Made half my pizza taste sour like old milk.
The place where the deep dish pizza was invented back in 1943, or that's what they told me, proudly too. Good food and jovial, knowledgeable service (I was at the bar). Had the Numero Uno, individually sized. Generous topping of mushroom, onion, sausage, pepperoni, and green peppers. It's definitely more conventional pizza like than soup bowl, despite the presence of the pie dish. Be ready to wait 45m for your pizza since they make them fresh.
I recently dined at a pizza place that's been serving since 1943, recommended by a Chicago-born friend. It lived up to the hype! The deep-dish pizza was a masterpiece, with crispy crust, quality ingredients, and friendly service. A must-visit for pizza lovers.
I couldn't remember if I had this pizza pie before. But after having it I knew that I would have remembered, because it was Delicious! You know, it's funny that My Wife was the one that wanted to eat here that day and now I want to eat here again. The Bartender made it even better by also being Our Server. Keep making those tasty Pies.

Great place and their deep pizza is a must try. Portion is big and super hot. It could take a long time to make if there’s lots of people.
I mean, this place is historical, so what can go wrong right? You get the true deep dish experience. They have pizza in many sizes, we only ordered the individual ones, it's cute and tiny but three of them were more than enough for 5 people. With the crust and the cheese I feel like it's very much like quiche! Good experience even for someone who doesn't like pizza like me.
This was my first time trying Chicago's staple deep dish pizza! UNO's was recommend to me and it lived up to the hype. I'm not sure if they offer reservations, but we were walk ins and we were seated promptly. It was pretty busy for a Monday afternoon. I went in a group of four, so we ordered the large pepperoni deep dish to share. For our appetizers, we ordered wings and fried calamari. I also ordered the pomegranate margarita. Our pizza came out quicker than the expected 45 min wait! Everything was delicious and hit the spot after walking the city all day. The service was also great! It was a fun experience!
If you want to try Chicago-style pizza, you need to visit Pizzeria Uno. I like that they serve small pizzas and you can customize them to your liking. During our visit, we ordered a half and half pizza. One side was the "Numero Uno" and the other side was the "Four Cheese & Pesto" with an added chicken topping. The pizza was delicious, but the sides were too tough for my liking.
I’ve been to all the great deep dish places in Chicago and this one is the best. really really incredible. the bread is unbelievable, really love their special with the green peppers, mushrooms, onions, sausage and pepperoni. so good!!
Very nice place to visit as it is both a good restaurant and a historical landmark.
We were there on a Saturday around opening time and were able to be seated right away (party of 4).
Drinks were very good. The pizzas are ehat you expected from the Chicago-style: very large and filled with cheese. We ordered two different ones (cheese and sausage) but found then to be too similar.
