Reviews Goose Island Brewhouse

One of the best beer menus in the city and fantastic food to boot. If Goose Island has made the beer, they probably have it here. The draft options are plenty with many options only available here. But there's also a large bottle and can selection of rare items. The menu is quite good for a brewery. I had the lobster roll with fries and they even brought me a bottle of malt vinegar. My wife had the brunch burger which I sampled and really enjoyed. And the kids menu is standard but tasty. There's outdoor seating in addition to the large amount of indoor.

Came here on my 21st birthday. Today is my 46th. Same bartender both times. Adan is an amazing person and he actually remembered me. You CAN'T get that kind of service nowadays. Also his *special" beer was my favorite of this, my last visit to the "OG" location. Including the prop 14 they had. Just my opinion. Agree or not, I don't care. Can't wait to see the new place!

Ok. Everyone knows goose island ipa. But there is much more here, great beer list full of interesting and short run things. They had the full 2023 bourbon county line up on this visit.

Had a tour with Luis. Fantastic! So much fun. So much to learn. We learned about brewing from one of the Goose Island masters and then had Adan serve us at the bar. Great time. Where else can you get Bourbon Barrel Stout on tap? :)

A perfect place to hang out with some good brews and good vibes. The bartender Adan is really fun and friendly and I'll come back just for his service and company!... Too bad this location is closing :( I ordered exclusively the award winning stout/porters and they were all great. Banana Foster: Get!! This is the best one and puts all the other ones to shame drinking side by side. Just so perfectly smooth, sweet, full bodied, and treats you right. It'll make you go for another round with no regret....except that it definitely packs a wallop ABV-wise so... maybe you will regret it lolol. Service: Hit and miss I came 40 minutes before closing and talked to someone at the bar. It was the bar back or bus boy because he seemed speechless and lost and continued cleaning/mopping. Eventually found Adan and my night changed for the better from there haha. Adan was so amazing and energetic. Appreciate him for such a great night

We had a few brewerys on the todo list for this Chicago trip and we timed lunch with some cheese curds and burgers at Goose Island the last day. To this we had a flight of IPAs that were as tasty as we expected. The burgers were absolutely excellent as well so if you're in the market for some burgers and beers this place is not a bad choice.

Went for Sunday Brunch. Nice friendly staff. Lot of seating area. The choice of beers were amazing!!!!!! They’re still not doing the tours. This location has big collection of the Goose Island Bourbon Stout. You can either drink there or purchase to take home. Food was amazing too!!!!

A friend and I love BCBS and this was a priority to take the tour / visit the brewhouse. The tour was full of history, had beer samples along the way, & limited to two brew areas. Afterwards, we had lunch in the restaurant, enjoying fish & chips, Cesar salad, Anniversary Cuvee, then Sir Isaac's BCBS. We enjoyed the visit!

I have been to the Goose Island Brewhouse many times and have never left disappointed. The brewers make amazing in house beers, so don't be afraid to drop by if you're not a fan of 312 or Goose IPA. Also, get the nachos.

Everyone will review the excellent beer. I’m here to tell you that they bring a glass container of water when you sit down. It’s a nice touch and not something I take for granted.

For a brew house the food is better than expected. Enjoyed a Reuben sandwich with a mountain of corned beef. The flavor was outstanding. Instead of fries, had a salad. Wow the salad was so good too. If you have not visited, Go. Great vibe and energy. I will be back.

I love all of the varieties of beers available here, it’s so fun to try all the ones you can only get at this location. The food they have is good too, but I wish they had more appetizer/small plate options. We got the cheese curds which were very good, perfectly crispy. I have yet to try a Goose Island beer I don’t like. I’m not usually a darker beer fan, but the bourbon barrel beers here are so good if you like a stronger beer.

Nice brewery! I loved the fact that they had limited edition brews that you could only get at the brew house - it’s a nice touch and a definite bonus to beer tourists like me. Had a couple of different 6oz pours, so I could try a bunch of beers and not leave fuzzy headed - also nice when you’re a beer tourist. They have a bunch of the bourbon county in bottles - a lot more than I realized they had even done. Well worth a visit.

You must visit if you’re planning to have your drink in a historic brew house. Lots of drink options as well as tasty foods. Strongly advised to try locally brewed (on the site).

I mostly visited to try the local variants of Bourbon County. Was not disappointed and left with some BCBS! Just the standard bourbon county stouts were available on tap, but there were plenty of other great options too (if you visit close to St Patrick's day, they do an amazing mint imperial stout). Great food options availbale too. I went for the triple patty burger, with side of fried chicken! Kitchen closes relatively early so be mindful before making the journey.
