Vegan visiting from out of state. I finally found the Chicago deep dish pizza with vegan mozzarella that I have been looking for. It took about a 40 minutes for them to cook it fresh and it was worth the wait. The 9" deep dish is plenty for two people. Plenty of seating during Wednesday lunch. Atmosphere and staff were great. I would like to see a few vegan meat topping options.

After a disappointing experience at another deep dish pizza place, my party and I were excited to give deep dish another try. We were not disappointed! A member of my party and I shared the 9” plain cheese deep dish. The crust was perfectly golden brown and the mozzarella was hot and fresh. The 9” was enough for 2 people but probably would not be enough for 3. The customer service left a little to be desired but our waiter was kind enough to work with a difficult food allergy of a member in my party. He went back to the kitchen and helped to figure out a salad dressing that she could have with her salad. She wished that there was an option to add protein to the salad, but it was a decent salad nonetheless. I will probably return next time I’m in Chicago! Thank you Gino’s for a much better deep dish experience than our first this time in Chicago.

AMAZING food! WONDERFUL customer Service! Love the patio option. Our server was top-notch, super helpful, and took good care of us. She checked food allergy ingredients and made sure my dish was safe for me. Deep dish pizza takes about 40 minutes to bake from scratch, so prepare for a slow-paced meal. We came hungry and enjoyed the Brussels Sprouts and calamari. My family shared the meaty deep dish pizza and enjoyed it. My son got the XL spinach and artichoke pizza and would have eaten the whole thing, but he was "saving room for the deep dish brownie." The music was good, interesting sports games on the big screen TV, doors open to let in fresh air. Great ambiance. The ONLY downside is that the ladies' restroom is in SERIOUS need of attention 😕. One out of order sign that appears to have been there some time, with door duct-taped together. Only 1 working stall with giant hole, broken lock, paper on the floors, but it flushed. So at best it was functional. If the restroom were fixed, this would easily be a perfect score.

First time trying Chicago pizza and it wasn't bad but I felt it came up a bit short. Appetizers, pizza and service were good but nothing out of the ordinary. It does take 45 minutes for a deep dish to come out and they do not hold up well for reheats as the crust gets super soggy. I'm also not from Chicago so I don't know if its normal but there didn't seem to be AC at the restaurant, or at least not strong enough to cool the place so it was a bit warm, granted I went in the summer. Overall it was a good experience but it wasn't a place to remember.

Home of the Chicago deep dish. It had been many years since I had Gino's pizza. I have never been to this location until now. There was no wait, and the pizza was as delicious as I remember. The service was good, and the atmosphere definitely gave you a Chicago vibe. I had the Gino's special.

This location is a great place to grab delicious deep dish pizza. My husband and I booked the food tour, and this was the 1st stop on the tour, and I'm so glad it was. The pizza was amazing. The service was great! The gentleman made sure we had enough to drink during our visit and was very friendly. 5 stars !

Excellent thin crust and deep dish pizzas. The service at the bar was fantastic both nights I had dinner here. Prices are reasonable given the prices of meals in Chicago. It was not crazy busy on Thursday or Saturday night.

Everything you look for in a local bar. Great food, good drinks, excellent service and fun people. Lots of TVs for watching sports, they put on formula 1 for us which we really appreciated. The Diavola pizza was amazing and showed us that Chicagoans do actually eat spicy food, just not at Mexican restaurants

While the food was good, not the best chicago style Ive had, it ranks well. The atmosphere was ok, very warm like there was no a/c and they just had a couple doors open I was not expecting that. The service, seemed like we were an inconvenience, very short and quick to come and go which I would understand if they were very busy, which they were not, especially when it takes 45-60mins to get food, im sure theres time to slow down and be friendlier to customers. Tried the cheese sticks, which they say are fresh in house made, solid 8/10, very good, fresh and hot. The pizza, while hot and freshly made was good. Sauce was alright, the cheese was good and the crust was good but the end crust is very dry. I would either same some sauce or order a side.

I love a good deep dish pizza while visiting Chicago, and Gino's did not disappoint! We ordered the small Italian beef pizza (spicy and plenty for 2 people!) and the mozzarella sticks. And that giardiniera ranch is to die for. My only criticism would be the third party delivery company that they use for deliveries wasn't fantastic....despite being only half a mile away, the pizza showed up cool with a soggy bottom crust and the cheese sticks were cold and solid. The flavor was there though, so maybe just skip the delivery and plan on eating in for the best experience.

We visited Gino’s midday, around 3:00 and there weren’t many patrons there but they must have been short staffed because our server was everyone’s server which caused us to have to wait whenever we needed something. BUT she was very kind and had a great personality so I guess it was meant for us to exercise some patience on that day. The food was AMAZING!!!! The atmosphere was nice but it was warm in the restaurant which is t what you want when you’re coming in from being out in the heat. We ordered mozzarella sticks as our appetizer, the Gino’s deep dish Supreme, and a thin crust cheese and there are NO complaints here!!! Well maybe one, I was too full off of a couple of mozzarella sticks and one slice of deep dish, to try the cookie ice cream sandwich for dessert! Lol

Grown up when Gino's East was in Rolling Meadows, always loved their deep-dish pizza. First time in Gino's East South Loop during the Nascar Street Race weekend~ the pizza was awesome brought back lots of memories.

Ok, so I really need to expand outside of the big three or four Chicago pizza places, but I like Gino's so much that I don't see a reason to venture out. I just absolutely love the corn bread crust. It is just so good. Way back in the day when it was featured on Man v Food, Adam talked about the sausage patty across the entire pizza. I was then in love with Ginos. After visiting it again, I am still a huge fan of Ginos. Go there!

Had simple spaghetti with meatballs. The noodles where on point; delicious, and I was surprised the sauces where very tasty. I like the sauces separate so I can control the portions. Waited out front at their tables until the food was ready. If I had more time I wouid line to eat at the bar and enjoy a beer or two.

My husband and I really love this place… the first day we arrived we stopped for a quick Drink in the daytime and Erith was super nice, attentive and professional. We came back on the next evening to try out the deep dish pizza and must I say it was well worth the comeback and to top it off Ms Tiffany was the bar tender and the service remained phenomenal!!!!

Came here on a food tour. Our first stop. We had the sausage deep dish pizza. Came out hot. I really liked it. It was very tasty. Only had one piece and only had water to drink. This location looks more like a bar. Very cool decor and good atmosphere. I just wish I could have enjoyed a beer and more pizza 🍕. Next time I'm back in town I'll come back here for certain.
