S.K.Y is a lovely dining experience. The black truffle croquettes and lobster dumplings are delicious and good starters. The foie gras bibimbap is a nice concept but was definitely a miss. The carrots were extremely good and were the second best thing we ate that evening. The chocolate cake is good too. We didn't eat anything spectacular but overall everything was good and it was a nice experience.

Came here for our anniversary and the staff were so lovely, such a perfect place to celebrate our special day! The food here was absolutely delicious and very fairly priced! Every dish was great. We tried the tasting menu. Tasting menus can really be a hit or miss for me, but all of the dishes on their tasting menu were great. Their cocktails were also really good! The food came at a great pace and we weren’t rushed or anything at all. Would highly recommend this place and will be coming back!

Enjoyable dining experience. Wish we lived closer so we could try the rest of the menu. Party of two- one got Chef Tasting and the other ordered of main menu. Every dish was great. Our server David was attentive and knew the menu and drink pairings well. We sat at Chefs Counter and enjoyed watching and listening to the kitchen 'dance'. We would recommend everything we ordered. Didn't have enough room for dessert, but they looked wonderful going out. We stayed in downtown and it was just a$15 Uber ride to and from- it's worth the ride.

I finally had the opportunity to try out S.K.Y. The inside of the restaurant looked elegant and beautiful. We had a good size group and they were able to put some tables together. Service was impeccable. Food came out at a reasonable amount of time. We didn’t have to wait long. We tried a variety of items. You can find free street parking nearby, it can be a challenge around peak lunch and dinner times. -black truffle croquettes 5/5 - great combination of black truffle, aged white cheddar, and jalapeño. Small kick to it. -Maine lobster dumplings 5/5 - lobster were cooked well. I could eat this dish solo. -warm mushroom salad 5/5 - delicious. Mushrooms cooked well and flavorful. -foie gras bibimbap 5/5 - good amount of food in here. Good size piece of foie gras. -organic fried chicken 5/5 - chicken wasn’t dry, moist and juicy. Creamed gave it extra flavor.

Fantastic new addition to the Pilsen neighborhood. I was in desperate need to experience good food when I got invited to this place. Surprised but the size of the restaurant, but yet the atmosphere is still so intimate. Good cocktail list, inventive menu selections. Absolutely everything we tried was delicious. My favorite thing was something NOT on the menu, and that was the edamame Hors d'oeuvres. It left me wanting more, not to mention was just a preview of what was to come next. We tired the Cornbread Madeleines, the Lobster Potstickers, Hamachi Sashimi, Mushroom Salad. Whew. Not to worry, we mustered up the strength to indulge in our entrees! For our mains, we ordered the Salmon, Short-Rib, Seabass, and last, but certainly NOT least, the Charred Broccoli. All of which I would recommend to anyone. Sit back and enjoy the entire experience, you'll be glad yu did!

Went for brunch. Tried the pastry set, pretty good selection! My favourite was the black and white croissant and the mantou donut. Lobster dumpling and the truffle croquette were too salty. The thick cut bacon was extremely salty/not edible! Cold buckwheat noodle was refreshing though kind of plain..

The style of the restaurant is my favorite industrial + American retro style, personally I think it is very suitable for friends gathering and couples dating. After dinner, let's stroll around Pilsen: all kinds of graffiti walls, Vintage stores We were the first table to come in when the doors opened at 10 a.m., and my OCD self felt extremely comfortable looking at the glasses of water arranged like an honor guard 😍. 1️⃣ 2️⃣ Home Made Pastries (9/10 🌟 recommended!) There are 9 types in total (you can also make up a HIGH TEA platter). Available in savory and sweet flavors, each one is creative and fusion, and never available at a regular bakery. We tried the Manto Donuts and Black&White Croissant. sliced buns recommended! The Croissant was okay (mainly because the creme didn't taste like lychee or coconut) 2️⃣Warm Mashroom Salad (8/10🌟 orderable) The Warm Salad is a great way to hold my Chinese stomach, it's what you should be eating in the morning. The mushrooms, whether grilled or fried, were crispy and delicious. The downside is that I think the lemon vinegar is a little too sour, and I personally don't like sour food. 3️⃣Short Rib & Potato Hash (11/10🌟 Order it!) Diced beef + crispy potato cubes + fried onion strips + half-boiled egg drenched in a sweetened sauce! The beef and potatoes were evenly sized, and the heat was just right. The ingredients are ordinary but cooked with care. 4️⃣SKY Fried Chicken (10/10🌟 order it!) Before serving, I imagined an American style fried chicken (the Chicken and waffle kind that often appears in Brunch), but I was pleasantly surprised when it came up as a Japanese style chicken cutlet. The chicken was not too fatty, the shell was crispy and seasoned. The corn kernels on the side had some Mexican flavor. It was a great fusion of flavors. Note ⚠️ we waited longer than expected for our food.

My partner and I had to think hard to try to remember all the great meals of our lives. We agreed that our dinner here at SKY was definitely the best. I don’t say that lightly. Every single dish was mind blowing. They play with flavors and textures in a way I’ve never known possible. Ingredients that were odd when you read them on the menu were made to work so perfectly. After the first 1-2 dishes, you trust them blindly. We left really mind blown. Who knew cornbread could be so good? And the warm mushroom salad was one of the best dishes I have ever had. The service was impeccable and our server knew everything about everything, and made some fantastic suggestions. You can sit on the kitchen counter where you can see the chef and his team working away systematically. The chef is surely destined for culinary fame, he deserves it. The price for this experience made me feel like I was ripping them off. I absolutely intend to come back and try a whole different set of dishes and I’m sure I will not be disappointed. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Amazing fusion for Asian styles with your favourite brunch items. It was pleasantly enjoyable and a great way to brunch. One of the best corn breads I’ve ever had. The croissant was amazing too. Delightfully lovely experience with great staff.

I was in town for a conference and my manager brought us here. The food and wine was so good my coworker and I came back the next night to get the exact same meal!! Flavorful. I’ve never moaned over food before but I was definitely at the table about to climax over this meal. I say try it out. Definitely make a reservation.

The food is simply amazing and the reviews are absolutely true. I wanted to personally give the chef a hug. I came here twice for dinner and decided to try brunch here and I had no regrets. However, the chicken we had for dinner was definitely better than the one I had for brunch. The chicken we had at brunch was not well seasoned. The corn Madelines with the butter was top>>, the croissant with the custard>>

S.K.Y. has an incredibly cool and exciting dining experience. The ambiance is industrial and intimate and set apart by the open kitchen where you get to witness the cohesiveness of your meal being cooked. With unexpected and delectable flavors, the meals we felt incredibly luxurious. The cornbread Madeline’s are absolutely mouthwatering and I could do with several plates of them. We had the Short Rib and Crispy Salmon and both were phenomenal. We were especially partial to the marinated cucumbers. At brunch, the garlic noodles were such an awesome addition to brunch that I never knew I was missing until now. The service is so wonderful as well as everyone is knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly. Highly highly recommend.

This place is a must try! It’s well worth the price as the food is delicious and presentation is spectacular. It’s a bit unassuming at first but prepare for your tastebuds to be tantalized!

The 18th street corridor in Chicago’s Pilsen Neighborhood is quickly becoming home to some unique new restaurants. S.K.Y is such a place. The food was beautifully seasoned and quite creative with special applause to the delicious short rib dish. Also, if you love Black Truffle, there are two menu items you must try, the croquette appetizer and the black truffle pavlova dessert. I’ve never had truffle ice cream before and now I can’t stop dreaming about it. Must return to try some of the lovely fish dishes!

Every dish was fantastic. We were given a complimentary avocado bite to start, the lobster dumplings and black truffle croquettes were delicious and went well together. The fried chicken, which they are known for per the waiter, was indeed worthy of being known for… fantastic. The triple cooked beef short rib was also excellent, and the carrot cake was a fun finish with a sour cream ice cream. Would definitely return.

Absolutely divine, from the service to the amazing creative food. Liked the industrial chic decor too. A fantastic gem, Michelin-star food quality at amazingly low prices. I have never had such a salmon done in a creative way. So was the sea bass. Just AMAZING
