Great place for a group setting, meeting, meet up place for a drink with an old friend. The place is very upscale but welcoming at the same time. Nic (one of the Bartenders) does a great job being attentive and professional ,and the opposite side lies the restaurant which is also fantastic. I really don't have many complaints about this place, there are a few rush moments where it service slows to an annoying point but when you offer great happy hour specials it's hard to blame them. They also have a reward program that is awesome, this place is up in my list as favorite places.

we were greeted promptly and seated in a separate wooden booth--very nice. we ordeed cocktails and they were excellent. my non-seafood eating husband was happy with his steak which was cooked perfectly and very tender. my sister and i shared a chopped salad, which they split for us. it was delicious. my sister was happy with her lobster steamer dinner. i had the whitefish, prepared as the chef suggested. it was superb! the pecan pie was fine, but not stunning. we all enjoyed the creme brulee. service was attentive and friendly. we enjoyed it all.

Great downtown spot for steaks & seafood while perched overlooking the Chicago River. Very friendly knowledgeable service staff. Excellent salads & soups. Nice wine list as well. A good spot for the post office business dinner.

It was our first time at McCormick and Schmick's, and we will definitely be back! On a Friday night, we were seated right away, which in this neighborhood is almost impossible. Our server Justin was extremely knowledgeable, very attentive, and a ton of fun! We were stuffed by the time we finished our entrees (and some wine) and Justin was still able to talk us into some apple pie. When he says that it's the best apple pie in Chicago, he's NOT kidding! Best dining experience I've had in a long time!

Happy hour specials at the bar are a great value. Seafood selection is standard and everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. The seasonal seafood list constantly changes. Be sure to get the creme brulee for dessert.

Great food and drinks on the happy hour menu. Their dinner/lunch options are also great. Wine list is super impressive and they have half off bottles on Wednesday!!

We kept putting off dinner here in favor of a nearby Morton's. No more. Excellent seafood served by a great waiter. We'll be back, though to a M&S closer to home.

Professional service.Seafood is outstanding. Steaks are mediocre. Too much wood and dark lighting. Make sure to grab a table on the right side where the lighting is better.

Simply amazing. Service was impeccable even on a very busy Christmas Day. The food was sublime, atmosphere beautiful with fantastic energy. Drinks were perfect and just what the doctor ordered. 😉

We sat in one of the four private enclaves, so we didn't experience very much of the ambiance. The food was very good, but a little pricey. Definitely try the upside down apple pie.
