Great neighborhood Italian restaurant. Exceptional trout, fantastic frito misto. Be careful with drinks, they take them seriously. Chi vediamo a presto!!!!
Usually not an Italian place guy, but this place is pretty solid. Very good atmosphere. Not to loud or bright. Food was delicious. Everything was very good. Service was mostly good, maybe a slight language barrier and got a drink we didn't want but no real issues otherwise. Can't wait to come back for happy hour pizza.
Everything was excellent. My wife and I shared a cocktail, appetizer, salad, and entree, with a glass of wine each, and our waiter was very accommodating, splitting each course for us before bringing it to the table. 3-meat meatballs, salad, ravioli... all excellent. The sauce, cheese and herbs all enhanced the taste of the pasta in the ravioli. The suggested wine, a Rosso, was dry and delicate and went great with the meal. Highly recommended!
Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Vinci with great food and fast and efficient service. We ordered the arugula and pear salad, the spinach ravioli, and the mushroom risotto. The food was scrumptious and the service was super friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and not pompous at all. Will definitely be coming back!
I dined here with 20 of my closest friends (really) and cannot imagine having a better experience. We had a private room and an outstanding service team. The food was some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten and was matched by the service and atmosphere. I had pappardelle with braised short ribs, and the beef melted in my mouth. The Arancini were properly crisp outside and smoothly melted inside. If I haven't already mentioned it, the service was impeccable. Any time I'm in Chicago looking for a great meal at a reasonable price, I'll be looking for Vinci.
Excellent Saturday brunch served outdoors in a comfortable, shaded sidewalk seating area on Willow Street. The Italian Scramble was excellent as was the Breakfast Bruschetta. The staff was friendly and attentive. I can't wait to return to Vinci Restaurant!
Went to Vinci pre-theater. The food was simple and delicious. Our servers were capable. We were there on a pleasant Thursday evening and the dining room was slow but my wife mentioned that the patio was rocking.
We valet parked and picked up our vehicle after the show.
Have enjoyed going to Vinci since I moved to Chicago in 2007. Wonderful place, people, staff, food, and by name; my friend Clyde. Truly a unique place that I recommend, not just for dinner, also a great venue for private events and celebrations. Hope anyone reading this is compelled to visit and enjoy the same experience as I have.
Went there for brunch, sat outside with our dog. The bottomless mimosas are a great deal! The food was ok, but what really makes this place great is the service. I was taking my last sip of my drink when the waiter was putting another one down. Make sure to get the bread, they make their brioche in house every day and it’s soft and delicious.
The service was friendly and respectable but the food was on another level entirely! In particular the sauces were absolutely delicious and had me wanting to scrape up the leftover sauce with a spoon even after I finished up my meal!
Had brunch and sat outside under an umbrella. Great service and food. The scrambled eggs were so soft and fluffy and the sauteed arugula was just the extra flavor to make the dish great. I had the Breakfast Bruschetta and spouse had the Italian Scramble which was also very tasty. We finished with the apple cake with cinnamon gelato and a cappuccino. Delicious with one dessert being large enough for two. Staff is vaccinated. Great way to celebrate opening weekend in Chicago.
Asked the bartender ‘no chic parm on the menu, the chef heard me from the kitchen and said we can do that’ and it will as incredible!
Love this restaurant! The food is outstanding and great for a date night or time with friends. The staff is beyond accommodating and pricing is more than affordable for the area. Also if you just want to do a quick drink, go to the bar. The bartender is awesome and you’ll get some delicious olives plus great conversation! I will definitely be back.
The salad was wonderfully fresh and the pizza was very good. I highly recommend this great restaurant that's been around for years!!!!
Friendly people, testly food. totally recommend
Great service, solid food, good enough price point. It’s hard to find a good spot in Covid times, and this is one of them!
Recommended parties of 4 or less
We were a group of 9 that just walked in & were served right away. The service, Luis was our server, was exceptional. He made great recommendations & really knew the menu from beverages to the food. Everyone that waited in our table was so friendly. Great environment & food. Kid friendly as well, we had children ranging from 4-11. They even made an off menu item for my niece. Would def be back if we’re in the area again.
Went after a play at the Steppenwolf. Very convenient. Fair prices and good quality food. Pasta was passed "al dente" but still good.
