It was a bit of a wait as they are very busy - we also ordered the chicken wings which took extra time, but it was well worth the wait! Amazing dumplings and the best wings I’ve ever eaten.
Delicious tender, juicy, & flavorful dumplings handmade to order! I had a wonderful time here for my first ever Mother’s Day as a mom! I will def be back. These dumplings are quality & you can choose to have them steamed, boiled, or pan fried! Let the servers recommend dishes for you too because they know what the best sellers are. If you’re feeling adventurous try the chicken hearts! Delicious with a little kick as well. Don’t knock it until you try it. It’s a small, clean restaurant that a little bit tight but it’s very cozy and welcoming. You might have to wait but we had an estimated waiting time of 15-20 min and we were sat within about 7 minutes.
The staff was very cordial and provided an outstanding atmosphere. Having been in Asian countries before, their dishes completely exemplified authentic cuisine. Smiles were over all the customers' faces. Definitely and popular spot by Chicago's millennials. I recommend the lamb and herb (similar to cilantro) dumplings
Best dumplings we’ve had in Chicago, and we only stopped for a snack. We’ll definitely be going back for a full meal one day. I appreciate the waiter recommending that we have the variety of dumpling we ordered cooked a different way.
Wonderful place and service. Highly recommend lamb/coriander, beef/celery and shrimp/pork dumplings.

Omg !! Those dumplings were to die for !! So light and fresh !! Well worth the train ride for downtown
What a great little gem in Chinatown! The dumplings are all scratched made. Each ingredient can be tasted individually, yet they go so well together. Nothing better than fresh, juicy, scrumptious dumplings served hot. The side dishes and BBQ are also delicious. The decor, music, and service made this a remarkable lunch. Host was very friendly and would definitely come back!
Great place for dumpling. Loved the lamb with coriander. Definitely worth going back to!!
Wonderful little restaurant that offers fantastic styles of Chinese dumplings. Certainly worth the stop!
Best dumplings in the city. Highly recommend the beef and onion dumplings and hot and sour soup!
So delicious, staff is helpful and friendly. You must stop in for these dumplings when your in Chinatown
Soup dumplings are one of the most delicious things I've eaten in my life, and I'm so happy that I finally found a good place in Chicago! I enjoyed everything I ate here. For three extra dollars we could get wagyu beef for our dumplings which was a nice upgrade. I liked the food, I just think it was a bit pricey (as everything in Chicago nowadays) but worth trying out at least once.
I have to say that the wood wear mushroom salad was surprisingly good.
I would’ve given this 5 stars if it wasn’t so expensive. But definitely worth trying once.
Had the lamb kabobs ($6/6 skewers) - best taste and price. Shrimp, pork, and leeks (steamed, $17 order of 12) and lamb and leeks (fried, $17 order of 12) was great but a little over priced.
Waited an hour to get seated. Make sure to reserve on yelp before coming.
Limited indoor seating. Best to make reservations ahead of time if possible. I was seated in 20 mins without a reservation. Great menu selection and excellent customer service. The dumplings are fresh and full of flavor.
What a pleasant hidden gem! The dumplings are amazing, service is fast, atmosphere comfortable though minimal. It looks very inconspicuous from the street, but once you are inside be ready for a treat! The flavor combinations are great and there is a lot to choose from. We shared orders and got about 4 different choices. Every one was excellently.
From the moment you walk in you can tell they know what they are doing. And lots of people clearly love it.
For me it was hard to appreciate the strong flavors, also it felt very salty. Even the chicken hearts were overloaded with spices. But again, that’s me. I can talk how much people love it and truly enjoy the food, the service and atmosphere.
Keep in mind that is not cheap.
Had lunch here on a Saturday - I had been wanting to try this place for a long time and it did not disappoint! Soup dumplings in general are amazing, but this place takes it to another level!! The flavors of the filling are downright sumptuous! I highly recommend the beef coriander, lamb coriander, and the lamb dill. All of the dumplings we tried were top notch, but those flavors especially were UNBELIEVABLY delicious! Our server was super helpful and suggested the method of preparation for each variety of dumpling, and we were happy to follow his advice! Can’t wait to visit this place again!
One of the few restaurants that I order the same things every time we go: truffle beef soup dumplings, crispy pan fried lamb dill soup dumplings, chicken hearts, pig ears, Chinese style seaweed salad (different than Japanese style) & the special Off Color tea beer brewed just for them. Their chili oil is so flavorful, looks like they have a large nutmeg in each jar.,
Really enjoyed this place. There’s no pictures on the menu so you’re kinda just winging it based on what you want in your dumplings. We went with Shrimp Pork and Leek steamed, and then the server recommended Beef Scallion fried. I have never had a fried soup dumpling. It was fantastic. Steamed ones were excellent as expected
I’ve always heard about this restaurant and honestly I regret not coming sooner, the dumplings were delicious! My favorite were the Lamb and Coriander steamed dumplings 🥟 the tea was also very tasty 🍵. The servers were friendly and very attentive, they always made sure we had what we needed and went above and beyond. The restaurant ambiance was busy and had to wait for a table but honestly it was worth the wait. I highly recommend. 👍🏼
Quick little spot to grab some high quality dumplings. They come out pipping hot and the flavor is right on point. Perfect comfort food for a cold winter day!
Host was on point with wait time. We were seated and knew what to order. Food came out fast and it was piping hot. Was it worth the wait? Yes and no. The shrimp pork leek was the best. Flavorful and soup was delicious. The beef and onion was okay. The pork and cabbage was okay as well. I am happy to have tried it. I am not sure I’ll make the drive back and crave it in the future.
My first observation is that Waiting area is small and gets crowded especially during the weekend. We waited for 30mins before we got seated. The wait was worth it! Service was fast, since we were waiting we decided to browse the menu. There were 3 ways of how they cook their dumplings, S-B-F (Steam, boiled and Fried). We tried all 3 ways of Pork & Cabbage, my daughter love the fried while hubby and I loved the steam. We also had cucumber salad & kimchi for appetizer and that was good too! We love it so much that we bought a pack for midnight snack!
A very cute place with delicious dumplings. Tad on the pricey side but you get what you pay for here! I would recommend checking in on the waitlist before
Great place for authentic Chinese dumplings. Get ready to wait more than one hour on the weekends, but it’s definitely worth it. I would recommend that you come with a big party, since the orders come with 12 pieces, that way you can try many flavors. The skewers are very good, and the Beef and Onion steamed dumplings!! Awesome spot.
This was the first time my wife and I have ever had real dumplings and it's been 7 hours and I'm still thinking about them. I will be comparing everything I eat to this place. It was amazing.
Ever since a friend of mine first recommended this place to me I have been hooked! They have the best homemade dumplings in all of the city of Chicago. The place is kept very clean and the atmosphere is perfect. The staff are extremely friendly and you can either book ahead through their website or when you get there. With that being said this can be a very popular place around dinner time. I would either book a head if it is a Friday/Saturday evening. I have tried all the dumplings and the steamed lamb and carrot is my favorite! Great place to eat!
Delicious juicy and very thin dough dumpling place. Choose from Top 10 picks(at their menu) though. We tried most of them, beef ones are the best, then comes the lamb and then the chicken. Among all, one of thr signature dumplings(black truffle+beef) might be my favorite.
Minimum Order of 12 pieces from one type. No mix and match of different dumplings. Practical togo box.
