We live in Lisle and came out to have pizza 🍕 and to celebrate my Dads birthday who has passed on 8 years ago. This was one of his favorite pizza places when we lived right in Scottsdale and we're lucky enough to have grown up eating this family style pizza! Well worth the drive! So glad this place is still family owned and doing what they do best! Fantastic Pizza 🍕 if you haven't come here make sure it's on your bucket list of pizza restaurants in Chicago to try!!! Remember cash only 💵
A classic retro Chicago pizzaria that is welcoming to any ages. They have some of the best 4 cheese fried ravioli for starters. I admire thin crust pizzas with lots of toppings & they don't disappoint in either of these categories. It was nice to find hot giardiniera & sliced roast beef as options. The pizza was so good!!!
Saw this place on triple D, most Chicago pizza is thick crust/ deep dish style but they do it REAL thin with a sprinkle of thyme across the top ! Damn, fabulous! Great Italian sauce 😀
First time, and loved the place. Wasn't what I expected, was better. That perfect little pizza joint, with perfect thin pizza. Reminded me of a place from my younger years. Service was wonderful!
Legitimately the ONLY pizza I will eat. I hate pizza and when I go to my parents and they have Vito & nicks (although they call it nick & Vito’s always have) I get so excited, it confuses my husband because I won’t touch pizza from the north side where I live now lol love the thin crust sausage.

I haven’t been to Nick and Vito’s probably since 1970. It looks exactly the same in a good way. The pizza was delicious. Well worth the trip from Orland Park. Best pizza I’ve had in a very long time
The best thin crust pizza we have had in Chicago. They also have Old Style on tap.
We got there about 7:30 on Saturday night it seemed like the ending of "a rush" so we only waited about 15 minutes for a table. It was cozy .... everybody was really nice, our waitress was excellent.... and the pizza was really really good..... we loved it!! We'll definitely be back ....
Pizza is good, but for my tastes I prefer it hotter and cheesier, more sauce with a crispier crust.
I don't think it should be on a top pizza list, but I'd definitely devour the tiny cut square pieces again next time.
Packed with locals on a Saturday night.
Cash only.
Old style beer bar. Carpet on the walls and old pics.
Super friendly service.
An absolute institution for tavern style thin crust pizza. Cash only!!! I got the sausage and giardinera well done. It was a midweek late afternoon call ahead and it was ready in 20. The front attendant was super on it and very quick and helpful. Pizza was probably one of the best I've ever eaten. Crispy and crunchy, tons of fennel in the sausage and the giardinera offers the right amount of heat. I wish it wasn't so far but that's a me problem. Will return many times.
Had my birthday dinner here. Four large pizzas + two apps + two pitchers of beer + a carafe of wine + tip for 9 people was just $200.
It's worth the pilgrimage for this pizza. Harkens to an old Chicago feel. CASH ONLY.
Food… yummy!!!
Delicious think sausage pizza.
Delicious crispy breaded mushroom, delicious flavor and the juicy experience in your mouth.
Vito and Nick's is the staple of which all tavern style pizza in Chicago should be measured on. It's always delicious, crispy and served in a no frills environment with cheap beer. What's not to love. Bring cash, no cards accepted.

Old school thin crust pizza that deserves its great reputation. The pizza was outstanding! Thin and crispy just like we love it! Substantial toppings without overwhelming the crust. VERY old school/no frills place but the food is excellent. Our server (possibly Mary, if I recall) was an absolute joy!
Been living near this place for 3 years. Finally decided to give it a shot. And I'm glad I did. Ordered a small cheese and a small pepperoni. It's delicious! And the atmosphere inside is great!
We enjoyed our lunch as well as the homey atmosphere (love the juke box!).. Their famous crust is like we ate in Italy...bravo! We even met the chefs 🙂🙂 Cheers to family owned businesses, many of which are in this brand new Illinois bucket list book. #SupportLocal
Had the wing zings and the sausage and mushrooms pizza. Decent overall. The pizza was really thin, almost like a cracker. I like thin, but that was paper thin, not my style, still good quality ingredients though.
Great old timey spot and may be the best thin crust pizza I've ever had! Awesome old fashioned diner feel and great service!
Top notch pizza! Very thin crust with a perfect sauce, not too sweet or tomatoe-y. The service was great, our waitress realized she took a little long with the pitchers of sprite and said it was complimentary. It wasn't so long that I would've complained, because they were busy. She was so friendly and all our food came piping hot. Love that! We ordered five different pizzas, chicken tenders, a chicken dinner, and got some beers. They don't have a lot on tap but they had my fave in a bottle. I wish I took pics but it was just such an enjoyable time with friends I forgot. It's not that big inside, reasonably priced, and is cash only. Great place and I'll be back!
best tavern style pizza in chicago! no more words needed.
calamari and wings were also spot on. can’t wait to go back already!
Walking into Vito & Nick's feels like you're stepping back in time. Thanks to other reviews, we were prepared for cash only service. Our server was quite friendly and the thin crust pizza was absolutely delicious. If you're like me, when you think Chicago, you think deep dish. However, this place has thin crust on lock. The flavor and texture was amazing. If you're stepping away from the deep dish for an evening, do yourself a favor and try this pizza.
First time eating their . The pizzas crust is very thin and so so. Their combination beef and Italian sausage sandwich with fries was delicious .
They only had one person taking orders and severing and she was overwhelmed because she got to rush for lunch that day. They need more help.
This is tavern style pizzeria. Absolutely delicious
We had two pizzas. Everything from the sauce to the crust was amazing. Definitely worth it
Vito and Nicks was highly recommended as the pizza place to go to in Chicago. It was so worth the drive from downtown. Every part of the pizza was perfect. Cooked well done but not burnt at all gave it the perfect crispy texture but still chewy and soft. Paired with an Old Style on draught was amazing. Highly recommended. Cash only!
A++ crispy af thin crust pizza. You bite into this and your neighbors will hear it. Considering how thin it is, someone that is really hungry can easily finish 1/2 to 3/4 of the pizza by themselves, large (14") is as big as they go. This definitely isn't your traditional chicago style tavern pizza. Comparing this to something like Rosangela’s Pizza which isn't too far or La Villa on the northside of chicago, it feels like you're getting half the pizza due to the thinness of the crust/cheese/sauce. I honestly think this pizza should not be cut tavern style, but cut into large triangles like New York style. Regardless, this is a very unique pizza place in Chicago. I've tried tons of different places and this one will always stand out. Even their frozen pizza they sell in most retail chains is miles above other brands. I 100% recommend you give this place a try. I've never dined it but the atmosphere looks impeccable if you do. Pull up a stool to the bar, order a couple old styles, a pizza of your choice, and have a great night with friends.
Vito & Nick’s is the REAL DEAL. Believe the hype. The pizza here (sausage, mushroom, onion, green pepper) was the BEST I’ve ever had, anywhere. Beautiful masterpiece of tavern style pizza. We had fantastic service too thanks to Michelle!
The pizza was good. You can really taste the oregano on it. Sauce was sweet. Crust needed a little more flavor. I would order again. They are CASH ONLY!!!
