Love the small plate offerings. I recommend the foei gras, the duck fat dog, the crispy pig head, I recommend everything on the menu haha. It's all yummy! For cocktails, I recommend the Bacchus and Amethyst.
Had the scallops and pork belly. Both by far the best I've ever had. Good crust on outside and tender throughout. No one had a bad plate at our table.
Great staff, great drinks, great atmosphere.
The food and service was excellent! Had the rotisserie duck plate and some appetizers. Emory was an amazing server , and the rest of the staff was very accommodating and friendly for my boyfriend’s birthday. Will be back!!!
One of the best meals we have had in Chicago. The service was solid the tasting menu was superb. The wine and beer pairings matched perfectly. Great value for the quality of food. When the restaurant was full it was a tad loud but everything else was đź’Ż
I was pleasantly surprised, the duck in delivers both in culinary grace as well as in a sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere. (The prince logos on the bathrooms where a 10 on to itself) The duck is evrything talked about, perfectly cooked only question is i seen the duck served in reviews and pictures with apricots or tangerines it coulda just been outta.season. definetly comming back, chef and the staff def make it worth a second tripp
Food was fantastic. Loved the vibe of the place and the patio was simply amazing. They were very accommodating for our dietary and allergy needs.
We ordered the entire menu except for the half chicken and foie and holy shit.. Hands down one of the best meals we've had in Chicago in all our visits.. Hats off and cheers...
The cheese curds were fantastic as well as the duck wings. The rotisserie duck is not to be missed. The cocktails are incredible. It is one of those times you should not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. I highly recommend the Autumn kaleidoscope.
The food is no less than amazing, excellent bar, and the staff is phenomenal! One of the best dining experiences in a very long time.
Love this place. Looks like your typical neighborhood bar from the outside, but has great retro decor and vibe inside. Phenomenal food and mixology that rivals any of the A-list places in town. Special events like last night's luau are really fun and well done. Get the duck!
Between Kevin Hickey's food and Brand Phillips's cocktails, this place is a must for any night out. Great place for before or after a Sox Game as well!
rotisserie duck = outstanding, very deserving of all the hype. burger, scallop & pork belly dish also sleeper hits
great vibes inside, felt like a big family gathering and i loved it. staff was the perfect complement, took great care to time out every course just right đź‘Ť
High quality experience in what feels like the middle of nowhere. But don't let that take away from it's greatness. Lowkey looking building with comfortable and welcoming vibe inside.
Reservation recommended. Brunch menu review. Started with the zen by the sword cocktail served in a wooden vessel. Very refreshing and complementary to the savory dishes.
French toast was perfection and would melt in your mouth with flavor. A little bit too much marshmallow topping for me. The duck wings are well cooked with a delicious Japanese BBQ sauce. The rotisserie duck hash dish was the star. It was cooked to a golden perfection and remained juicy. The eggs and hash complimented the dish. It was so rich I had to order the champagne velvet beer for balance. The beer was smooth and cold.
Service was good for how busy it felt. The crowd was lively but not overwhelming for those that like intimacy. Have yet to visit the outside patio. Overall amazing experience and will plan to come back and try the rest of the menu.
Great food, great Old Fashions, great Grasshoppers in the absolutely perfect atmosphere, and the staff is top shelf!!!! Love the Duck Inn
A group of us went for their lunar new year celebration. Drinks are wonderful, drinking my hot buttered cider felt sinful.before eating solid food. The whole roasted duck is perfect, but my favorite (and I'm biased) is the duck fat beef hot dog in its own Chicago style variation. I loved this place pre-pandemic, and I still love this place.
The restaurant is in a low key residential area in Bridgeport by Pilsen, and probably easy to miss when passing by. But the interior has a romantic moody ambience perfect for date nights. It's also really fun to go as a group and try as much of the dishes as possible :)
Great food and friendly customer service, duck wings were delicious and the bloddies are very tasty! Amazing experience and the outdoor patio is cozy and lota of green! We did brunch, but definitely coming back for dinner.
My volunteer partner at Open House Chicago 2022 spoke highly of Duck Inn. If you are looking for "that place," look no further. I made a reservation for 2:30PM. On this day, parking around Duck Inn required patrons to read warning signs on trees and light poles. Yes, the Chicago Fire film crew was setting up for a scene on the bridge nearby.
The inn is beautiful, and the natural lighting is a plus. I ordered the Bloody Mary, and my guest ordered The Batanga. His cocktail came with a knife. Ask your server to share the story behind this drink. We started with the Duck Wings (Japanese bbq sauce), Duck Bacon, and a Buttermilk Biscuit. Do not let the texture of the biscuit throw you off. Even though it was crunchy on the outside, the biscuit was soft on the inside. The plates are shareable.
I enjoyed the Duck Fat Dog (Chicago-style), and my guest ordered the Up 'N' Over Burger. The food is delicious. The duck dog reminded me of deep-fried polish. Although I am not a fan of runny eggs, that burger was exceptional. Of course, we ordered a side of fries. We stopped at the bar for $5 tequila shots on our way out of the restaurant. I will return to try the dinner menu and the Rotisserie Duck. By the way, do you have vinyl around your home? Bring an album or two, and listen to your music while you dine.
I also want to see the Christmas decorations because the Halloween decorations made the place cozier. There is also an outdoor patio that I want to try in the summer. If you want a dining experience, make a reservation at Duck Inn.
Not going to lie decided to come here after I saw the owner on Beat Bobby Flay, and I was not disappointed!
Everything we had was delicious! Hands down the crispy chicken, ducks wings and lambs ribs are a must have! Our waiter was also super friendly and enthusiastic!
Pro tip: get a scoop of salted Caramel ice cream and an espresso for dessert and have yourself an delicious affagato
Great casual, retro vibe. Immaculate service, ambience, and quality. From the starters, including amazing oysters 2 ways, to the rotisserie duck and foie gras main event, to the desserts and craft cocktails, everything shows the skills of the kitchen and bar. Probably made it through half the menu and have never found anything that is not exceptional. The wine options are carefully curated and the spirits list is extensive.
The duck is totally delicious.Prepared to perfection. Gratifying in every sense.
A must order at this gastro destination.
If you like Italian beef a must order are the sliders.Yes that’s right Italian beef sliders appetizers.Absolute genius and second to none.
The romantic retro bar decor is warm, cozy and comfortable completely without pretentious.
Impeccable service.Professional with just the perfect amount of friendliness.
Pricing expensive but reflective of the superior good quality.
Parking on street non metered and easy.
AWARDED 3 YUMS ON A SCALE OF 3
Finally had a chance to head over to the Duck Inn after living in the neighborhood for awhile. It did not disappoint. The staff was busy but extremely friendly. The cheeseburger and cheese curds was delicious. The atmosphere was enjoyable. I'm looking forward to my next visit already.
Incredible restaurant with beautiful atmosphere and food. The duck as you would hope was out of this world and honestly everything I ate and drank was perfect. So cool to see the cooks in the kitchen working and producing the incredible food we ate. Such a cool restaurant I will definitely be back!
Amazing! My group booked the duck experience with wine pairings. Staff was so enthusiastic to share about the food, the duck press, wine and cocktail choices. Food was fantastic and each course unique. The owner/chef cooked our sauce with the duck press tableside while educating. Tableside dessert with cocktail was a great finale.
Went here for their Sunday brunch and the food was delicious and their service was absolutely phenomenal. I got the Duck Sope, the Rotisserie Hash and the Sticky Bun. The sope was by far the best of the three, but the sticky bun was like a more delicious cinnamon roll with candied pecans, and the rotisserie is good if you like a good vegetable medley. The service is what took this restaurant to 5 stars for me. By far some of the kindest servers/hosts that I’ve encountered in Chicago. The prices are also reasonable so I’d recommend you check it out if you haven’t yet. A diamond in the rough, I’m surprised that there isn’t a line out the door.
Food is good. They were very busy on Saturday night.
Duck Inn is a special spot with some incredible food and drinks. The restaurant is an unassuming small building on the corner of a small street but the experience inside is nothing short of spectacular.
Everything we had starting with the appetizers and ending with desert was incredible and unique. The duck wings were exceptional and the rotisserie duck was phenomenal. Duck Inn really earned it's name. However the steak, octopus and tuna were just as impressive. The cocktails served were tastey, well crafted, and unique, including a whiskey drink served in a smoke filled glass and even a warm bone broth based whiskey drink.
The prices were more than fair for the quality of food and drinks.
Our waiter Jay was also attentive, friendly, and knew the menu well.
Without a doubt one of the best meals I've had in Chicago. Check it out and you will not be disappointed.
The food was fantastic as was the service! I will likely be back again next week because there's still more I want to try. The wings are incredible. We also had the duck sope, the smoked salmon toast, and their special. The biscuits and gravy on the special were fiiiire!
Always impressed with the food and service. Can't wait for my next meal here
We tried their tasting menu for Chicago Restaurant Week- delicious! Each course was well executed, and the wine pairing was solid. The ambiance is nice, dimly lit, just what's needed to see your food and the interior decor. Their cocktails are fantastic, unique and well crafted. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner!
