I'm not at all into fast food, but after a couple of drinks in a Blues Club, craving for just a little bite, the idea of a Hot dog and fries, sounded good to me and Portillo's delivered. In a Disneyland like styled ambience the quick grub just hit the spot.
This breakfast place has one of the best waffles around downtown that are way too delicious. Other breakfast dishes are good too but the waffles are a must try.
Recommendation- red velvet waffles served with strawberries, strawberry cream, walnuts and maple syrup

Great stuff...
Must try.. try their pancakes .. waffle with ice creams...
Apart from these I tired there buffalo chicken ..and it was average. It tasted salty. The wings were done perfect the buffalo sauce was nice just the salt in food was let down.
Over all a nice place to be.
I've been here three times in my twenty days in Chicago so yes, that's clearly an indication that I liked the food very much! Generous servings, tasty meals and so inexpensive. 😊 The only thing that was not good for me was during our first visit, the whole plate was too spicy for the kids (we had the 3.99 bacon chicken waffle)... and we had to order a new one.
What's not to like about Waffles. Called in here yesterday for a weekday brunch. No issue getting a seat and staff are delightful. First tick was that they have freshly squeezed orange juice. I tried their waffle flight, a sample of 4 waffles. The red velvet was my favourite.
The person next to me had the waffles with pork, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Very generous serve and I was ensured was delicious.
This place is phenomenal. I highly recommend it. The various types of waffles you can get is amazing. Not many places have so much choices of types of waffles. If you are a fan of multiple items then try the waffle flight. It is smaller portioned, however. I highly recommend the green tea waffle. Also the Mexican chocolate waffle is tasty. Pricey, but worth it.
Tasty Waffles. Delicious breakfast and very unique menu. Try the green tea waffle!! Absolutely delicious. Service was a little slow but other than that, very good!

What's the big deal about waffles you ask? It is this: Brussels vs. Liege. Crispy or chewy? Meal or snack? Sickly sweet or slightly bready?
We had a wonderful time at brunch today! The food was amazing. I got the Avocado toast, which was so creamy and delicious. My fiance got the meat lovers skillet, and it did not lack meat. We also split half of a red velvet waffle. The waffle did not initially excite me, but it turned out to be one of the best things I've ever had. Truly. The portions sizes didn't disappoint, either. The only downside was that there was no bartender working during Sunday brunch, so we didn't get the drinks we ordered. We were compensated with Mimosas on the house though, so we were not disappointed at all. Great spot with decent prices, a wonderful outside brunch vibe, and healthy portion sizes. This is a new favorite on my brunch list.
Chicago Waffles for the win!🙌🏾
Perfect choice for breakfast. Known for their Belgian waffles this place did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was great!
There was a variety of meals to choose from and it was great to sit amongst the locals to get that true Chicago experience.
If we’re ever in the area again this is a place we’d return to!
I tried the waffles here. They are made fresh daily and come in a variety of flavors. From classic buttermilk to red velvet and green tea, there was something for everyone. I tried the chicken and waffles but I felt it was a little lacking. The waffle was great but the chicken was a little small. Atmosphere was good.

Great breakfast and Brunch restaurant, good atmosphere and lots of seating. The French toast was delicious and I can say it was a good experience. The bacon was a little greasy but that happens.
Came to this place after Google searching a nearby place for breakfast. You do have to find parking off the street which can be a little hard depending on the time/day but I found it quick. It was a good atmosphere and the food was delicious! I ordered the blueberry and lemon waffles which were good. I prefer a side of potatoes but i like mine more like Potatoes O'Brien style. Prices are fair as well. It wasn't busy at all and very quiet, i enjoyed a few Netflix episodes and ate in bliss. Give it a try!
1st thing - this place saved the day!!! After a horrible experience at another place where we were supposed to have brunch, this place came all the way through!
Location: It's so cute on the inside, like very moms kitchen but take it up 2 notches... it's still a diner feel but very cute!
Parking: we ubered
Service: 10/10, it was fast and efficient. We tend to be a needy bunch lol but our server was on it with no attitude and even confirmed our orders with us. We didn't wait at all and no reservations were needed.
Ambience/Crowd: no review because we were the last party
Food/drink : 6/10 the food was good but not great, my friend was raving about her skillet but my omelette was just good.
Will I be back? And Why - I would be back, there were so many other options I wanted to try
Food was really good, tasty and good quality. Service was absolutely outstanding and amazingly fast !
Our food was on the table less than 5 min after we ordered... impressive.
Also the coffee was absolutely delicious.
Very nice breakfast place 👌
The bloody Mary was to die for. I keep thinking about it. My son had the waffle flight w the various waffles. He loved it. I chicken and waffle, half order and it wad more than enough. I'll definitely come back.
We had a great brunch here. We dined Friday around 12:30pm and it wasn't crowded at all. We got coffee right away. The portions are huge and the food was well cooked and delicious. I don't know what seasonings they use on their potatoes but they are to die for! I had Nutella pancakes with my eggs any way. My husband got a waffle flight and he loved all the flavors. I think they make their own whipped cream. It's flavorful and delicious and I don't even like whipped cream. The service was wonderful and the place was clean. We will definitely come back here and recommend it to our friends.
Came for a working breakfast before my appointment down the street, everyone was really friendly but not overly attentive. Got my water refilled twice without needing to ask and always at just the right moment.
The vegan options were limited but I came specifically for the breakfast potatoes. They were really good and filling! I couldn’t finish my order. The latte was good too, comes very hot.
It was drizzling when I came but next time I’d love to sit in the outside space and also get a boozy drink (Irish coffee or mimosa).

Lavazza coffee! Ohh so good!!
Spicy Bloody Mary is excellent, spicy, bits of jalapeno, very thick juicy, not your avg BM @ all; Delicate mini olives, pickle quarter & of course celery stalk (which most places seem to leave out nowadays 😢).
Side of short ribs; fall apart braised & delicious.
"Everything bagel" & cream cheese (to go) nice sized & plenty of everything, recycle/ green friendly box.
Background music excellent, not too loud, intriguing, not obnoxious.
Nice, Small patio area when weather permits.
This shop has it down pat!
I'll be back anytime I'm in Town.
The was an awesome restaurant. My waitress helped me to navigate through the various options on the menu. I chose the Corned Beef Hash (cbh) and eggs while the waitress suggested I try the Blueberry and cream waffle. Wow, that waffle was delicious. So was the corned beef hash, eggs, potatoes, and toast. The cbh was amongst the best I've had. This has to be one of Chicago's best breakfast restaurants. Has to be.
First time going but certainly won't be the last. Was pretty when we went for breakfast on a Saturday but they do their best to get you seated as quickly as possible. They have outside dining as well. My husband got the short rib skillet. It looked so yummy. I had a three cheese omelet. We both had the cinnamon apple pancakes. So delicious.
Food was decent, waffle was good but nothing spectacular. It was a little on the expensive side for breakfast but the menu was large and seemed accommodating for just about anyone!
