Outstanding little gem that I would recommend to all of my friends! Definitely amazing food! Although portions were small, it is well worth for anyone to try. The deserts were very very delicious! The service could have been better but still a 5-star for the delicious dinner!

Fantastic food in a relaxed and refined atmosphere with warm and welcoming hospitality. We celebrated our Anniversary with some friends and we had some of the best "bites" we have had in a long time. Highlights were the Bulli Olives, Quimet y Quimet, Scallops, Hamachi Crudo, Quail, and the Indian Summer Cocktail, The Churros and Flan were amazing. The service was spot on. It's really wonderful when the service and staff understand the menu as well as the guests preferences and pace. Worth every penny and fun from beginning to end. Thank you Chef Aubin and the staff at Salero!

We came in for a drink while waiting for our reservation close by. We sat at the bar and looked at the menu and just couldn’t leave. Small selection of Excellent beers. We had a small plate of olives and cheese. Great. For our entree, I had the chorizo stuffed quail. I expected more of a chorizo flavor, but it was so much better than that. Sue had the ribs. Also incredible. Brian, our bartender, recommended a wine and could not have picked a better one. Dessert was fantastic. Even the coffee was exceptional. Also, it was quiet enough to have one of the best conversations we’ve ever had. I can’t tell you how glad we were that the other restaurant told us “50 minute wait”.

Paella is outstanding and a must have. By far the best dish on our tasting menu. I would definitely go back but this time order off the menu to try other tapas.

Overall a very good meal. We decided to focus on the smaller plates instead of the main courses. We had the duck empanadas. The flavor was good but we found the orange sauce a bit overwhelming. We loved the jamon Serrano with the burraalta cheese and a bit of crunch from the fried zucchini flower. The pesto sauce cut some of the richness of the dish. The chorizo stuffed quail was tasty and very easy to eat. We ended the meal with churros y chocolate. The churros were crispy but not greasy. Finally, we had the tomatoes dish which was a perfect summer dish. Service was good and outdoor seating was very nice.

Great food and ambience. Would have liked a little more vegetarian options such as veg paella

Did not try the cocktails but they looked of formidable quality. The food itself was amazing, from starter to dessert, with both seasonal and non-seasonal dishes available. The octopus dish was paired with a very nice, tangy mixture between a salad and pickled veggies. Friendly service, nice ambiance.

It's a bit pricey, but the food is delicious. The wine selection is very good, and there are a variety of price points. The atmosphere was pretty good; a little loud but not so bad as to feel like you have to yell to be heard by your companions.

Fine dining food without fine dining prices. Portions were just right. The quail and squash tortellini are excellent. Didn't try the paella. Wait staff was on point. The space is much larger than neighboring avec which looks really crammed from the outside. Not a huge selection of food but what was delivered was excellent. Would go again.

We started with two cocktails that were super boozy but still very drinkable or as my mother would say "coma cocktails". We wanted to keep it light so we chose the beet salad. Pretty typical presentation but fantastic execution. Sam got the pork belly which tasted fantastic but was just a tiny bit fatty for my liking. I chose the flat iron steak which was delicious. Served with two different sauces (one smoky, one kind of bright) and a few very uniquely prepared potatoes. They also included an oxtail stuffed pepper on the dish which was an odd however great addition to the plate. We ended our meal with the cheese plate which included two semi hard cheeses and a tangy blue all with accompanying jams/honey/grapes and candied nuts. Finally they sent two complimentary pistachio shortbread cookies that were so delicious I was truly depressed that I was only able to eat one. I could eat dozens of those things!

Pay no attention to any negative reviews. Wonderful food with so much attention to detail. I wish that you live long enough to enjoy the anchovy toast. Helpful service. Warm atmosphere. I do not usually take the time to write reviews . This restaurant is worth it.

Wow, what an amazing experience! Sweet breads to start....just melted in my mouth. I asked the waiter to bring what the chef was proud of for my main entree. I received the perfect plate of venison. Other members in my party had the lobster and fell in love. I had the pleasure to goto the kitchen and meet the chef to personally thank him for an amazing meal. I will be back, hands down one of my top restaurants in Chicago!

I had the sea bass the first night of visiting Chicago, and it was so good I had to go back for more the next day (had the paella, also amazing). The staff and the bar tenders in particular were amazing people as well. 6 stars.

I can’t speak for the food but I met some friends here later in the evening for drinks and loved it. Great atmosphere and friendly bartenders. Will definitely be back again and will get food that time for sure.

Great Service, Tasty Food and Nice Ambiance. Really enjoyed the Priorat by the glass. The Octopus and Jamon Serrano starter were outstanding. Enjoyed the swordfish and pork dish and the extra foie gras appetizer ordered was amazing. Finished with blood orange flan and churros, both very good. Would definitely return.

Everything was delicious and the wait staff was incredibly friendly. Their portions were bigger than everyone expected and we ordered way too much food but it was all delicious.
