Best crab Rangoon I have ever eaten. My dear friend Sharon loved crab Rangoon so when I see them on the menu i order them in her honor as she passed away about 4 years ago. Opal Thai house had the best flavor and the best crust of any I have ever had. I ate at Chinatown the next day and they were no where near as good.
My husband and I have been coming here for awhile, then I got my parents hooked on this place. Now, my stepson and coworkers are too. The food is always amazing and consistently great.
I've been taking my kids there since they were little... We used to go to the one on Lawrence & Western... Then my daughter found this one closer to us & we've been going to this one since... Now, my grandkids also go with us... Everyone enjoys everything they have... The Thai iced coffee is also delicious...
Customer service was great! First time diner here and we loved it. Food was very tasty!!! Must try the 'tiger cry' steak appetizer and for this cold weather 'tom yum' soup is the perfect match. We will be coming back
Great food, with excellent appetizers. I’ll be back for sure. Penang Curry was lit.
I've only ate here a million times and I'm more than satisfied each time. It's also a great amount for the price. The decor is beautiful and most of the food is tradition Thai!!! Love love love this spot!
The food is delicious!!! The Tiger Cry is awesome. I personally live the Shrimp curry fried rice.
Great, fresh, perfect on spice food. Thank Opart for serving great Thai Food in Chicago. You make me and my family( specially husband) very happy since we live on Southside now.

Love this place! Great flavor to the food! But just eat there. Take out is horrible.
This is by far some of the best Thai food I ever had so far in my life. The best part easily that you get a great portion for a reasonable price without breaking your pockets. I suggest definitely trying the veggie egg rolls & any soup and you will be super satisfied. Also the decor and design of the restaurant is very warming & cozy.
I highly recommend paying a visit to this location! Stopped here for dinner with a date for a casual night out. She is a big fan of Opart, and now I know why. The food was absolutely delicious! Everything we ordered was great and tasted fresh. The staff was very kind and helpful. Our waitress was pretty fantastic and had great humor.
If given the chance, I would definitely like to return and try more of their great food.
A true gem when it comes to Thai food. I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and never get tired of it, fantastic service, great food and great prices.
I always get the Tiger Cry appetizer which is beef cooked on a charcoal grill it seems with a delicious dipping sauce, it’s one of the most tasty things I’ve eaten.
Their pad Thai is incredible too, this time I got their Peanut Sauce Lover dish and it’s out of this world, specially if you love onions and peanut sauce! Crab Rangoons are crisp and fresh, all the noodles cooked perfectly.
Come to this place, you won’t regret it!
My husband and I love this place so much! The food is always delicious, the portions are quite large, the staff are friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. We always leave very satisfied! Our favorites are the chicken pad thai, beef pad see iew, and crab rangoon.
After eating dinner here for the first time, we can definitely see what sets this place ‘Opart’ from the rest! The pad thai was a revelation, panang curry was a dream, and the khaki soy dish was.. oh boy! Gluten free options up the whazoo. Great to-go containers as well ;) Cheers!
Great service and friendly staff.
Would recommend the Thai Iced Tea so good. I ordered the Gaeng Daeng Curry the hottest that can do and wow is it good. If your not to in spicy Id recommend going mild.
The rest of my party order the kuay tiew kee mao with pork and Pad see-lew with beef. Both really great dishes.
Very good dinning experience.
I went with co-workers for lunch, who liked it very much. One of them ordered the shrimp fried rice. While she said it was good, she said it only had 4 shrimp in it. I thought the four shrimp on top were for presentation whilst more shrimp was present throughout the dish, but I don't know. She didn't say and seemed to enjoy it. We had the crab Rangoon, which we shared. It was so, so good. Be warned that if you ask for a very spicy entree, you will get it! I am used to hot, but this was 100 💯 hot!! Portions are small but very tasty, freshly made, and delicious. Enjoy.
Been here twice with my daughter since our other location went to carryout only, thank you. Food has been very good, service exceptional, prices reasonable. Our last trip they brought us one of the wrong meals, I decided to be adventurous and try it. Loved it. They comped us on the meal. The waitress recognized the mistake, owned up to it and comped us. YOU NEVER SEE RESTAURANTS admit they are wrong. 👍.
The place seemed like quite a bit of take out than dine in folks (typical Asian places after pandemic).
Tiger cry was the real deal. I've never tasted anything like this. There's this mild sweetness with hint of spice and grill char taste here and there. Near is very juicy as well. So good.
Pad thai and garlic fried rice was just okay. We also had moo Ping which was really good and also large quantity for that price (6 skewers for like 8 bucks or so).
Probably around 40-45 mins to get the food ready.
Amazing service by Paul, Thank you! Every dish we had was amazing!! I always recommend this place to friends. Opart Thai has been my favorite restaurant since I was 8 and now I’m here for my 22nd birthday lol! They have THE BEST Thai food. It’s the only Thai food restaurant I eat at, SERIOUSLY. I love it!
Opart Thai House - West Town is a culinary treasure for Thai food lovers. Their menu offers a wide range of authentic and flavorful dishes. The cozy ambiance and attentive staff create a welcoming dining experience. For those craving delicious Thai cuisine in a warm setting, Opart Thai House is a must-visit. Can't wait to return for more tasty delights!
I just ordered take out from over the weekend, Ordered some Gaeng Panang Curry, Tiger Cry, Pad Kra Praow, and some Egg rolls. It was exactly what we needed from Thai food that evening plus it was still nice and warm by the time it was delivered. Definitely recommend to anyway looking for a great takeout Thai food!
We love the Thai food from Opart and it’s a great neighborhood spot! With Covid regulations I’ve only gotten take out from here but it is always fresh, timely preparation/ delivery, and always tasty!! There are a lot of menu options and something to satisfy every palette. Highly recommend this place, great add for the south loop!
I’ve love Opart Thai ever since I used to go to an old location of theirs in South Loop. I especially love their pad se ew and that their khao soy. The service is always great and it’s BYOB which is a plus. it’s a relatively affordable and quick meal in West Town, which can be a little hard to find. no complaints here! I’m just always surprised to see that it’s never that busy. People ordering takeout from third parties shouldn’t be surprised. The food continues to cook while it’s waiting for your driver in in transit. Eat at the restaurant and eat fresh!
Really enjoy Opart. So much so that my friends and I have decided to make it a monthly meeting spot to catch up 😂. The food is really good. Ordered the Curry Fried Rice w/chicken and broccoli, Combination Fried rice(usually comes with chicken, pork, and beef. Chose to add shrimp instead of pork for a $2 up charge) and the Khao Nar Ped( sliced roast duck, Chinese broccoli, and steamed rice). We also order the very delicious Crab Rangoon and Fried Wontons. Very personable service. Out of the four or five times I’ve been there I’ve only had one encounter with a terrible server. Best part about this place is that it’s BYOB!! So bring your bottles of wine!
Delicious food. I have yet to order something that I don't like. Good portions one of my favorite places. Reasonably priced.
First time trying. Crab rangoons were so good. yellow curry and pad thai and thai iced tea are solid too. I think I horribly underestimated their spice level, or they messed up the pad thai. Not sure, but a level 2 on curry was amazing. Level 2 on pad thai was like a 4 or 5 to what we're used to.
