Reviews aren't my thing but when you wake up 24 hours later looking for the cup of coffee they had here you have to say something. To be honest the coffee was just the beginning food was out of this world. The service and enivorment wad perfect. This is all for a place you would never knew existed except for for a tiny little sign. If I wasn't 30 miles away, I would call this place home. Loved it
Cafecito is the $h!t!!!! The food is amazing and the staff and service are awesome. I wish I could say more good things. Just go there and eat anything off the more than reasonably priced menu and enjoy. The Chestnut location also has a full bar if you wanna get your drink on. Gogogogo to Cafecito!
Not only the food is great, but the service is also great!!
My wife and I came here before a play at the Broadway Playhouse. Restaurant was busy so we had to wait a few minutes for a table. I ordered the Cubano. The sandwich came out so hot that I had to let it cool for a few minutes. I was a little disappointed as the sandwich didn't come with any sides and the server didn't recommend any. The sandwich was delicious. Food came out quick so we had plenty of time to get to our shoe. This was a very good experience and recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits the theatre.
Landed in Chicago and was lucky enough to find this Cuban breakfast spot. The European menu is far preferable to standard breakfast options. The prices were nominal, the food was good and the servers were attentive. The only thing missing was the crema for our coffee.
Cafe con leche all day, this is where this place shines!!! The chorizo plate was great, as always. I would pass on the tocino con huevo Cubano (breakfast sandwich), it was bland. The abuelita chocolate pancakes are great if you have a sweet tooth.
Wonderful to find this alternative to the coffee chain and Euro-centric pastry shops. Our breakfasts were hearty and flavorful. Powerfully flavored rice and beans (garlic, herbs) plus a savory chimichurri on the side. We were able to sit outdoors, which is not always possible in Chicago. The interior may not be accessible for everyone. Service was okay. Took a long time (but we weren't in a hurry,) the table was very wobbly. They seemed to be prioritizing the take-out orders.
Wonderful pressed breakfast sandwich!! I had eggs, cheese, & bacon, & my hubby has the steak one. They were delicious! Very friendly staff and comfortable seating.
They also have a counter for grab and go items. 🙂
Great Cuban cafe with awesome Cuban coffee. I ordered the Probecito and it was good. Also ordered the ropa vieja sandwich and it was delicious! The only negative thing I would say is that I felt the server should have been more attentive. She barely checked on us or refilled our water. Other than that it’s worth checking out for the coffee and food!
Cafecito is a neighborhood gem, recommended by many locals as the spot for a Cuban Sammie and coffee. Given the foot traffic, it is a good bet. Cozy booths and high tops toward the rear, table service. There's a casual, order at the counter in the front. And outdoor dining if you prefer, not covered. Menu suggestions: Cuban Sammie, crema de pollo soup, chivito Sammie and the ham croquettes.
We were introduced to Cafecito in Los Angeles. The food was great so we decided to find it in Chicago, while visiting. Great vibe and service but more than anything - delicious Cuban food. From black bean soup to Cubans, and in between. And don’t forget to to try Guava drinks.
Nice chill spot in Downtown Chicago. The guava chicken plate was awesome and I paired a Cuban coffee with cream alongside it. Staff was friendly and flavors were wonderful
I like to share the experience! And this is a good one! I just find this place on Google trying to find a good coffee and I not only did I find good coffee, I found delicious Latin food!!!
I had the chimichurri steak and was very good!
I really recommend this place!
