Saw you guys earlier in the year on Chicago's Best, featuring that decadent hot dog & I knew I had to have one! I live about 50 miles west of there, & it took us a bit of time to get our schedules together, but I made the trek yesterday to go with a friend who lives nearby. You can overlook the place as it's tucked away in a basement, but definitely worth the trip! It was so beautiful out we ate on the outdoor patio, & it was a great time meeting up with a childhood friend & enjoying these great hot dogs! Very friendly staff, I'm sure they've heard many times how people come in response to their TV appearance. We were there between lunch & dinner, so the place was empty. It does take awhile, but well worth the wait.

Three friends and I were at a festival at Lincoln Park over the weekend and were looking for places to eat within walking distance. We stumbled upon this restaurant and we could not have been happier that we did. The staff were so lovely and welcoming, which you truly don't get everywhere nowadays. The menu was easy to navigate and understand, and the prices were perfect for the size of the portions and the quality of the food. This place really topped off an amazing day for us, and we cannot stop raving about how much we enjoyed this restaurant. Please check them out!

My husband and I wanted an authentic Chicago food experience when we visited, and the food was amazing and the hospitality was even better. The owners offered traveling advice and gave us ideas of what to see and do in a short amount of time. We will definitely come back when we are up north again!!

Excellent quality hotdog with perfect and unique fresh taste. The pickle is also really good. Highly recommended if you ever want to experience "Chicago style dog". I got the Flubby and the Durkalski polish dog. They are definitely my favorite.

A classic for a Chicago Dog, so that's what I went for. Greatest and simples place, loved the atmosphere, service was friendly and welcoming. I wanted to try the Chicagi do and it was good, but I might nit be the right person to appreciate this. I felt some juiciness was missing, but I know nothing about how a Chicago dog classic should be, I just know how I prefer my hotdog.

Want a great Chicago style hot dog? Yes, you do. Go to Flub a Dub Chub's and you'll get just that. Very reasonably priced, The Flubby comes with fries (or tots) for just under ten bucks, including tax. It tastes like it looks, from my photos. Delicious. All the bells and whistles of Chicago style, atop a nicely boiled, yet still pretty firm weiner. One of their specialty dogs even won a Chicago award! The interior is down a small flight of stairs, in a basement under another establishment. It's very bright and seemed well ventilated, and the AC was on. Decorated floor to ceiling with hot-dog related artwork from dine in patrons, and crayons and paper are provided. Plenty of options on the menu for meatlovers.

To my Flubby friends reading. This space is the place for the hottest hotdogs in hotdog land. Whilst visiting we came here twice cause we had such a nice time! The second time I got the corndog and it was as delicious as the hotdog. To all my Flubbies to be, this is worth a visit!

Small restaurant with quick service and quality ingredients. I tried the original flubb and the Italian beef, both were delicious. The restaurant looked clean and the staff friendly.

Hands down the best hotdogs in Chicago! I've since moved to the burbs but everytime I'm in the city I make it back here to eat. Thanks for the amazing food. 👊

This 4-star rating is truly a misnomer, its a 4.3 on my scale. The italian beef was huge and dipped with sweet peppers. Definitely delicious, but I do have my favorite italian beef place and this was really good but not as good as my usual place. However, I actually came here for the Chicago dog and this was on point. This is a classic dog dragged through the garden which was fulfilling as well as filling. The tots and fries was crispy, hot, salty and delicious. I really liked the decor and campiness of this “below street level” spot. Definite hidden gem! The staff was also very friendly. Will visit again soon!

I had a great bacon cheese burger on a pretzel roll. Super yummy! I went with the tater tots which were crunchy and delicious. I also had onion rings and they might have been the best onion rings I’ve ever had. The service was fantastic. The guy (James?) was very friendly and brought a bowl of water outside for my dog and delivered my food so I didn’t have to leave my dog. Great food, great people, highly recommend!

Solid dog. Has pickle and cucumber, I don't usually see that. Warm but and the dog doesn't have a hard casing to bite through. Went with ketchup instead of mustard and got my photo on the wall of shame.

If you want a delicious example of a Chicago dog, look no further. I can't even count how many times I have eaten here, but it always consistently delicious with fast service. From the scrolling "Wall Of Shame" for people who put ketchup on hot dogs to colorful flub-inspired drawings hung salon style all over the restaurant, the atmosphere is fun and casual. I am so sad I am moving to the East Coast, and I can't have Flub a Dub Chub right down the street anymore! If you live in neighborhood or on a Chicago dog tour, this place is worth a stop.

I had the Chubby with tots and had to get a Flubby as well because it was so good. Great bun, great pickle and relish, crunchy and fresh onion, tomato and cucumber, just the right amount of peppers and celery salt. Possibly the best hotdog I’ve ever had in my life and the best thing I ate in Chicago this short trip.

Went to Flub A Dub via the Red Line. Ordered a 1/4 lb Vienna grilled dog, Chicago style with fries. ONE OF THE BEST HOT DOGS IN CHICAGO! Hot dog had great snap, toppings were fresh, presentation was nice. Fries super crispy and seasoned well. Amazing place!

I landed in Chicago and I was craving for hotdog. This place had rave reviews and I wanted to try it out so bad, this place did not disappoint. It’s kind a has like a very old classic hotdog place vibe run by this amazing lady. It is in the basement and looks very cozy and warm. The onion rings and a flubby and chubby hotdogs were fantastic. Loved the stuffings and the juicy sausage. The tater tots were super tasty as well. I would love to go back. The owner checks on you once in a while to make sure everything is OK. This place is not usually crowded so seating is not a problem. Definitely try this place and you will not be disappointed I can promise you that.
