This was my first visit to Red Apple restaurant, I was pleasant surprised. Although the food is served as a buffet, it is fresh and fragrant. It is certainly prepared with high-quality products, which can be felt in the taste. Here, you will find a wide range of Polish cuisine. Very clean. The waiters are very polite. The price at first glance may seem high, but in reality, it is not because you can eat everything to your heart's content. Absolutely fantastic Polish place to dine. I recommend and will visit for sure once again.
First time trying a Polish buffet. There are plenty of options to choose from including pierogi, potato pancakes, schnitzel, and even stuffed cabbage. The food was super delicious to the point. Even though it’s expensive, the food is worth it.
We were traveling from out of town and wanted to try something new. We searched for buffets and found this amazing gem. The extent of my experience with Polish cuisine was pierogi, potato pancake stuffed cabbage. Let me tell you my wife and I were treated to the most delightfully delicious authentic dishes prepared fresh in small batches. Every trip to the buffet provided more selections than I could possibly try in one visit. Meats, sides and desserts that I have never had or familiar ones prepared in different ways.
I've never had the opportunity to have this amazing food at someone's house. But I can tell you for sure somebody's mom from the old world was back there creating wholesome treasures that I will remember for some time to come and crave until our next trip to the the Chicago area. I've been to alot of buffets but this was different. On another level all together. It felt like someone invited me over to their home and allowed me to try every dish they held dear in their heart. The staff was outstanding and extremely attentive to our needs and answered questions we had about different dishes. I could go on and on about how awesome it was but it'd be easier if you just went and tried it. You will not be disappointed and I guarantee you will find something on offer that you will love. It is no surprise why Red Apple Buffet is one the highest rated buffets in America. Keep doing what you do. Bravo!
It was my first time to try a Polish restaurant. Celebrated my birthday here and I had a great time trying out Polish food. I love the ribs, cabbage rolls, pierogi and pork knuckles.
Amazing high quality old world fare for a reasonable price. The service is outstanding. The food is made with high quality ingredients. We come here at least twice a year. They also welcome parties of over 35people on weekdays but is only open from Friday night to Sunday night. This is a great Chicago culinary landmark.
Beat buffet I've have ever been to
So many different options and everything looks amazing and taste delicious 😋. Large dessert options and super kid friendly. I will definitely be back very soon. Friendly staff and super clean.
I came here due to YouTube Food Vlogger Mikey Chen. Plus it's a polish buffet, how could you not want to try it. Inside the atmosphere definitely has a European feel to it. Probably Polish, that would just make sense. They are only open on Saturday and Sunday and close at 8 pm. So if visiting from out of town that can make things difficult.
The meal starts out with a cup of soup, in my case Chicken Noodle. It was very good and definitely warmed me up on a cold day. Next up was the buffet. This buffet had a plethora of options on it. I got a little bit of mostly everything. My one real disappointment was the food temp was lukish warm. It was all still very good, however I imagine it would have been even better hot. My favorite thing was the ribs and a cheese wrap thing. Both delicious. I didn't really not like any thing. Even the cold chicken was still good.
The staff seemed very stern, just their way I guess. They were very efficient though.
Overall for me a 4 star review. Not the best I've had, however it is the only Polish buffet I've had. Would I return? Absolutely.
Sped my first Thanksgiving eating in a restaurant. Took the entire family had a wonderful time. Food was extremely fresh, cosley bringing out new hot food. Enjoyed it immensely. My only complaint I felt it was just a little bit high in price.
A classic of Polish food in Chicagoland. The Polish buffet, which has been in existence for many years, serves traditional Polish cuisine. Countless selection of Polish dishes and all kinds of side dishes and desserts. In addition, everything in a traditional Polish interior design. Great service and clean everywhere. A great place for someone who really wants to eat their fill. Although it is only open on weekends, it is worth checking out.
It's was a long and expensive Uber ride from Chicago ($60+ one way!) . The food choices were many and both Polish and traditional US. Even a 9 year old had plenty to eat. Service was attentive and we were never rushed which was good since we ate a ton! Bill for 4 plus tip was in the $150 range. I'd go again but hopefully in a rental car.
We have been there on occasion over the many years. The absolute best authentic polish food. Wide range all the good stuff healthy stuff too. Happen chance to be in the neighborhood coming down Milwaukee Avenue hope to have lunch there but they was not open for lunch. So we'll catch them next time. And enjoy the same as always the traditional dishes of all sorts wide array. I like to sample so much but I can't get to it all many thanks to all the dedicated workers there thank you thank you thank you
A little pricey but the food is amazing and the whole variety is a perfect example of classic polish culinary experience. Loved this place for a long time and never regret it
Delicious tasty Polish food buffet and the service was amazing! Super friendly place. The only downside of this buffet is the dessert, it wasn’t that good but everything else was amazing!
We wanted to offer a luncheon for our dear friends and family, following my father's Memorial Service. We chose the Red Apple because we knew the food was excellent and would offer a wide variety of things for all our guests. The staff worked with us to assure that things would go smoothly. For a small fee, we were offered table linen that was prestine. Due to weather conditions, some of our guests (seniors) were unable to attend.
The staff was able to make a price adjustment to what we agreed on, which helped with our budget.
Some of us were even allowed to take a plate back to those not in attendance. We truly enjoyed our time together. The atmosphere felt intimate and the decor was lovely.
It was semi private, so it felt very much like family dinner.
Everyone enjoyed trying the different foods. It had been a stressful week for me, so having things go smoothly was a God send.
We had a beautiful experience and will recommend them for those wishing to have large gatherings.
I have always come away happy with the Red Apple in the past. We will be back.
