The food was definitely worth every dime spent. It was amazing! I didn't care too much for the seating because it's not private, but it is cozy. The service was great and fast. The food was prepared to perfection, and the short rib bowl is enough to share if you get an appetizer! The sushi and shrimp corn fritter was superb š
We enjoyed this restaurant. We arrived 5:30ish before the crowds. Seated immediately. Welcoming atmosphere and good service. I enjoyed the menu variety. The drink selections are fun. I had the sangria, it was good and not as sweet as Iāve had elsewhere. We had coconut shrimp and crab Rangoon apps, both very good. Entrees included maki (sushi roll), pad Thai with shrimp, Singapore Noodles. The food is beautifully presented and the service warm and efficient.
Loved the atmosphere. Right when you walk in you are greeted by the nicest host! We sat near the bar and got a view of everyone and all the food. One thing- on a Thursday night, no game, it was packed! So make reservations! Food was amazing! Ginger fizz was yummy. We bought 4 apps for 3 people and didn't need to eat the meatballs we bought, but what the hey lol. Go here!!
BITES is a very nice quaint place. Service / waiters were happy, helpful and patient. The food was great! We ordered the Mussels, Tuna Tostada and the Crab Rangoon. Recommended
Great place!
Finally made it to @biteschicago
and it was worth the wait!
I had the best food and service! Amazing place!
Roasted Duck Bao Buns
Soft shell Crab sliders
Spicy Crab Rangoon
Absolutely delicious!!
Just Gorgeous! The food, drinks, staff and atmosphere! This is my favorite Thai place when youāre looking to fancy things up a bit. So so cute! And delicious!
Wow the food was amazing. I had Creamy Mentaiko Pasta and the Wings In Garlic Chili Paow. I think I will dream about this food and crave it all the time! They put sick cute touches with the orchids as well. Thank you so much, I will be back.
Best ramen I ever had!!!!! I was extremely curious if the short rib would be tender enough, and I swear it did NOT disappoint. All the food was extremely flavorful. Pricey drinks but very delicious.
I have to say this was wayyyy better than I expected. Great recommendations by our server Tanner (I hope I remembered/spelled the name right).
Interior: overall nice! Very tropical theme inside. I did feel the tables were a little close to eachother to my liking but I get it.. gotta maximize space and it wasnt too jammed together. But clean bathroom and nice tropical plants and some fun flamingo decor.
Food: 10/10. Get the 'Crying Tiger'. That is an order not suggestion haha
The serving sizes were big and expect to take some home. The food was well flavoured and really good. The dishes are more of a fusion rather than trying to be super authentic. So there are some interesting twists to it which are tasty successes though.
Overall service was super good and the food all seemed super good. I couldnt try everything I wanted to so will come back! One of the few places I can say confidently u need to go more than once.
Also fyi they have drink option(s) off the menu that seem really good..
There are no shortages of fushion Asian joints up and down Clark St., most of them lack originality or try too hard. We have been here a few times and found the menu items to be quite versatile. It is Thai owned so you will tend to find many dishes staying true to their origins. The sushi selections are good, the amount of fushion is not too overwhelming that you can't tell what the ingredients are. The flavors are on the heavier side, which is good for American taste buds, but my only recommendation is maybe to hold back the sauces a bit to allow a better balance between freshness and flavor, it will give the dishes more depth.
The selections of drinks are also quite good, don't expect a wall of local craft beers (thank God). The atmosphere is suitable for a quick drink and bites or a date nite.
Overall very solid, strongely recommend it if you are into Asian fusion and want a little bit of everything.
Iāve been to BITES at least 3 times now and have never been disappointed! The food is very high quality and aesthetically pleasing. Iāve never ordered something from here that I didnāt like. This time we sat outside and ended up moving inside ā part of the patio can be buggy. I also got to try the soft shell crab sliders for the first time which were delicious! Definitely worth getting if you havenāt had them.
The wings were also delicious! I love that they have boozy boba here. Thereās so many great choices on the menu itās hard to try everything!
First things first - Google has this as āChinese restaurantā - I would call that incorrect as it is so much more - this is Asian fusion and what an amazing fusion it is.
I have saved this placed and shared it with friends as one of my favorite spots in the area. Absolutely everything about it was fantastic. The place is nicely decorated, good music inside. Service was lovely. Now the foodā¦ š„¹ we had the mussels and the fries as appetizers and they were BEYOND delicious. I am absolutely in love with their version of fries and wish I had boxes of them to have as snacks at home. Please order some because they are delicious and different.
We also had some sushi, the peanut noodles with shrimp, and some mix fried rice. The sushi was fresh, a mix of textures and flavor that sang a symphony in my mouth. The noodles were delicious and with giant shrimp, like 20 of them. The rice was amazing in flavor but even more so in the amount of shrimp and meat that was in it - usually fried rice is 90% rice, then a couple of pieces of carrots and pees, plus a couple of little pieces of meat - this one was mostly meats and veggies. Both the noodles and rice were enough to take a whole other meal home each.
We also had a mango slushy and a fancy tea that were superb - especially the slushy which was 100% real mango. For dessert, we had hazelnut banana dumplings are were blown away all over again.
Best meal we have had in a while, will be back very soon and many times more!!
Recently got lunch at Bites and were impressed by the menu options. Lot of asian dishes, while mostly Thai cuisine leaning. Would recommend the Taro fries and General Tso Chicken with Rice. Maki wasnāt up to the mark to other dishes. Service, presentation, and ambience were pretty good. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are vibrant and welcoming.
I came here with a party of 4, and I was very pleasantly surprised with both the quality and presentation of the food. I strongly recommend any of their chicken and rice dinners, especially the bourbon chicken! Their boba tea was also excellent. The staff was friendly and the service was attentive. We all plan to come back multiple times, whether as a group or individually!
Edit: 4/18/23
I came back here again with the same party of 4, and the food remained excellent in both taste and appearance. This time around, I had the duck dinner (forgot the name) and the chicken wing appetizer, and they were both amazing and delectable adventures for my taste buds. Furthermore, the staff was also great and friendly as always! Will come back again soon; it's quickly become my FAVORITE place in all of Lakeview!
Checked out BITES during restaurant week and absolutely loved it! The food, vibe , and service is a 10/10! There are so many great options to choose from. We loved everything we ordered.
Pan Asian food at its best. Loved all the drinks we ordered and loved the presentation of each. They have a nice choice of cocktails and Mocktails. The spicy tuna sushi, crab Rangoon, and Shumai were my favorite. The blueberry yuzu cheesecake is a must try.
Do check this place out if you are craving delicious Asian fusion. Highly recommend !
The host was very nice and pleasant and even offered us a free shot. The pad-thai was delicious as well as the other food. I'll definitely come back for my second time.
Came here for restaurant week and the food was good! Ordered the taro fries, gyoza, sweet tofu and blueberry cheesecake. Overall my favorites were the gyoza and the cheesecake. The tofu didnāt have anything special to it and the taro fries were more like chips. But, the preparation for all of the dishes were beautiful!
I gave 4 stars bc of the service alone. I did not care for the food at all. Tried multiple dishes and to ME it just wasn't a good fit.
The food was amazing and our server was incredibly attentive and very friendly. They have a very nice outdoor seating area, although we decided to indulge in the air conditioning! They have a happy hour until 6:30.
I loved this place and will be back soon!
