Such a cute place. The line really wasn’t long for 7pm on a Saturday. The staff was quick and attentive. The junior scoops are definitely big enough. The single scoops has two scoops. I will definitely return.

Winter or summer, it is always the right time for George’s!!! The ice cream is good but try a milk shake! The baked goods are good too. Don’t forget the free popcorn if they are still popping it! We often get there late and they have already stopped and started to clean the machine!

The 20 person line didn't deter me. I had their butter pecan ice cream, red velvet & triple chocolate cakeballs, & finished with a chocolate pecan cookie. There's too much to name. It is Amazing for satisfying any sweet tooth. Be careful. Definitely could be habit forming. There was a 30 person line when I left. Everyone was happily waiting. That should tell you more than any review ever could. Enjoy!

Sinfully delicious ice cream with a variety of flavors and cones which are all very tempting to try. I had a single (2 scoops) order pumpkin flavor and a espresso chocolate bit flavor (parental .... something I cannot remember the name) that tasted like a pumpkin spice latte... which is a GOOD THING! I found the ice cream so smooth and balanced I'll be sure to come back next time I'm in the area.

Georges ice cream place offers a wide variety of ice creams flavors, with many innovative ones that are surprisingly refreshing. Their single scoops of ice creams have 2 double scoops while doubles are triples, all very reasonanly priced. There are also around 5-6 different types of sundaes in the offing and shakes. They have a neat little corner of hot beverages like coffee, tea and hot chocolate too for the winters! Loved the decor and the sizeable collection of board games. A perfect place to treat your kids to.

Overall: Arguably the best ice cream in any Chicago neighborhood, with tons of unique local flavors that are all delicious. The good: Great tasting ice cream and generous portions. Just like a local ice cream shop should be. #Yousalty and the Exhausted Parent flavors are both fantastic. Also got to try the root beer float, which is unique and fit the bill. Definitely left full and happy. Atmosphere was fun and semi-old school and the service was friendly. They also have a huge patio out back. The bad: The menu didn't help out with the flavors at all. Had to go up to the "sneeze guard" and look at each flavor itself. Which, with the number of flavors, can be quite a task. The line can go out the door (understandable on a warm weekend night). Atmosphere: 8.5/10 Service: 8.5/10 Food: 10/10

The ice cream is thick and tastes fresh and homemade. The staff was friendly and allowed us to try multiple flavors. It seemed that the manager was even out helping behind the counter. The patio area is adorable! Great place for family and kids!

Very good coffee. The ice cream / dessert smells are very good. I ordered a s'more and wasn't disappointed. They have a table to play games and pass the time. Steady stream of people through out the visit. Asked the other patrons around me their thoughts on their ice cream and shakes and they said it was great and tasty

I always love going to George's. They have inventive flavors, a wide variety of sweets (not just ice cream!), a fun atmosphere, great customer service, and low prices. Be aware that my love is not unique; during the summer months, the line is often out the door. They're worth the wait, but you WILL be waiting. Also, don't rely on their flavor board for what your choice(s) will be, as more than once, I've settled on something they didn't actually have, or were out of; rely on what's actually in the cases, and you'll always find something tasteh without getting your desires squashed. You are allowed samples so if you're not sure even after you've viewed the available flavors, they've gotcha covered. It's a fun atmosphere in the space; there's a couch and a pair of big chairs that flank it in the back, there are regular tables but also high tops, and they have an assortment of board games ta play. Due to all of that it can also be loud and echoey, so if you want a quiet scoop, this isn't the spot for you. I've seen soy flavors in the cases, so they're lookin out for vegetarians. They have a punchcard-based loyalty program. If you forget your card (as I often do, or simply don't have because George's was a spur-of-the-moment choice), they'll happily give you a new one, and combine them for you later. Regarding their flavors, they ARE varied and inventive, but definitely not basic. If you want regular chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, etc., this isn't your spot. Also in that regard, the theme for the place is best described as decadent. I mean, you CAN just get a cone or a cup, but once you get above that into sundae territory, or peruse their other offerings (can you say chocolate-dipped twinkies...?), it's definitely a cavity-inducing excursion, and it's easy to be tempted: last night I ruined a perfectly good ice cream choice by putting it in a sundae that I couldn't finish fer all the extra sweet that came along with it. Take it from me, the kitty kitty bang bang is delicious on it's own. Don't gild the lily! If you like and are prepared for sugar shock, dive right in. The cocoa's fine. :-)
