Loved it. Went with my family for birthday brunch. Great food, friendly atmosphere and very accommodating (we had a very hungry toddler & a table of 8 with us), service was excellent. Definitely an enjoyable time.
Highly recommend, meatball appetizer was great!!!
Wonderful food love the outdoor seating.
The crawfish eggs Benedict so good. Very good bacon
I had THE BEST baked chicken I have ever had in my life! “Chicago style” Baked Chicken! #WhoKnew
The chicken entree with a seat by the window looking at the Wrigley Building. Loved it!
This was our go to breakfast place because our hotel was just next door. But either way, we would come back here even if we were staying somewhere else because the place is nice! breakfast at the bar is typically America and we loved it. Very friendly staff, very helpfull also. we certainly recommend this place
A very nice and convenient restaurant, right across from the Chicago river and between Michigan Avenue and Wabash. It was particularly convenient because it was the designated restaurant for the River hotel, right next door, where we were staying.
The outdoor seating was so comfortable, the service was excellent and food was great. We had both breakfast and lunch there and the service was super quick every time. The staff was very friendly and cordial, making the small talks on top of providing the quick and efficient service. The breakfast portions were correctly sized and the coffee was pretty decent as well.
"A very good and convenient location for hotels near Chicago airport. We were looking for something to eat after a long flight. The turkey sandwich with side salad and pesto pasta was decent. The service was just okay. There were hardly any people there after 8 pm, but the waitress was hard to find. We asked for hot water but never received it. Otherwise, it's the best place to go in that area, where all the restaurants are fast food.
I had a mixed experience at Land & Lake Kitchen. The service and atmosphere were amazing, but the food was a bit of a letdown.
The hollandaise sauce was not at all like I've had before - it was very runny and bland. The mac and cheese was also a bit of a letdown - it tasted more like butter pasta than anything else.
However, the service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. He made sure that we had everything we needed and that our food was cooked to our liking. The atmosphere was also great. The restaurant is located in a beautiful old building and it has a very cozy and inviting feel.
Overall, I would still recommend Land & Lake Kitchen for brunch. The service and atmosphere are definitely worth it, even if the food is not the best.
Place is fine but it wasn't made clear that the coffee wasn't inclusive? Like the waiter (great, very nice guy) just walked up and asked if we wanted coffee and made no indication that it was paid per cup instead of just for the table. But that could just us misinterpreting so that doesn't effect the overall score.
The food taste is good. Great brunch spot for the area, despite being a bit on the expensive side.
The service was great. It was faster to get seated out in the patio verse indoor. The food was light.
Sitting outside for dinner after checking into River Hotel. Exceptional Chilli, Ocktoberfest beer and Ceasars salad. Breakfast was equally fine.
I spent a weekend going fine dining in Chicago. This morning, I had breakfast here. I can honestly say that the service I received from my server behind the bar was BY FAR the best service I received this weekend. I travel solo and he was very attentive. Talk about a hard worker....he definitely does a remarkable job, and LLK was packed!
He also made the best Bloody Mary I've had in a long time....so delicious with just the right amount of heat (horseradish!). Breakfast (eggs benedict) was very good, and the coffee was very good as well. 🎄
Wonderful food, fabulous mimosas, and incredible service! Our server Danny was not only tremendously attentive but also made us feel like the most important customers in the restaurant! Not to mention we absolutely loved the breakfast mac and cheese along with the vegetarian omelette! We will definitely be back!
I love coming here! The last time I was here for a few days I had purchased breakfast vouchers ($20)/ per day to use towards my bill. It really does make a difference to buy them! We could use more than one voucher to pay the bill which is always nice. They serve their hot tea in the shape of a upside down light bulb which I think is super cute 😍. My favorite dishes to order from here is their buttermilk pancakes and their fruit cup to use fresh berries on my pancakes 🥞, steak & eggs, croissant sandwich and the American breakfast. The house made biscuit is delicious and the orange juice tastes so freshly juiced!! The view from inside is perfect too. It faces the Marina city and the Chicago River.
I thought it would be good based on other reviews. It was much better than expected. Nice outdoor area, great, friendly staff, and my food was definitely incredible. I went for breakfast and had the ham and Swiss omelet. Not only were the eggs, ham and cheese perfect, but the hollandaise sauce brought it to a totally new level. My wife had the burger with fries and raved about how good it was. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Danny waited on us at the bar. He was friendly and efficient. Great menu and brunch cocktails. Highly recommend!
