Salonica - Chicago - Photo album

A cosy dine-in with a great variety of dishes, including some greek ones, at good prices. Very friendly staff, felt immediately welcome. Great value for money, I enjoyed a lot my Salonica burger after a long walk in the neighborhood. I recommend that, if you are a nerdy tourist like me, you go to th
Always a go to on a weekend morning. Great food given the prices. Huge variety in the menu. Servers are always so kind and great at refilling coffee! Love the chicken gumbo.
Warm, friendly neighborhood spot with comfort food. The Braised Lamb was very tender and flavorful, with nice portions also on sides and salad.
My first visit and I'm in love. Cute vintage interior. Everyone seems so pleased to be there, which just adds to the comfy atmosphere. Had the chicken noodle soup (which came with a bread basket!) Like a giant hug!. Also the Athenian omelet. It was cooked perfectly and loaded with feta and vegetable
Located near the Museum of Science and Industry, this diner is a friendly and homely place nestled in a corner. Food portions were great and amazing service. Ordered the Gyro Platter (meat) and Corned Beef Hash breakfast platter. We were not disappointed! They have an amazing selection of sauces to
Stopped by for lunch during the weekend and was very happy we made the choice! Easy walking distance from the science & industry museum, and the nearby bus stop. It’s a cute little diner with a lovely atmosphere. Staff is friendly and service is fast. Food is reasonably priced and generously sized.
We had the fried shrimp, gyro plate and fried chicken dinner. We normally come for breakfast, but the dinner was not bad.
Nothing fancy but the dishes that are good are delicious. Rueben was delicious and fries just as good! Turkey club was yummy. Chicken Caesar wrap was an oil base dressing. Tasty but not what I was expecting. So much dressing challenging to eat. Staff was great and service was quick! They do o
A warm and welcoming environment with quick and helpful service. The food was great and the staff is better. For a place that's been around since 1979 its still going strong
I'm Japanese. It looks a little bad, but tastes good. The portions are large, but even Japanese people can eat them all. Although it is a Greek dish, it generally suits the Japanese palate.
This place is such a great dine-in or take-out spot! There is mostly always seating right away. There homestyle food looks and above all tastes amazing! My husband and I live in Milwaukee, but we love coming here to get a bite to eat whenever we are in town. My favorites are their homestyle chili an
On Sunday we visited and ordered breakfast and was delicious, the service is excellent and the Gyros Sandwich specially the bread was really good. Highly recommend Salonica on Hyde Park
The chicken gumbo is absolutely the best. The food is always fresh and taste great. My new favorite spot.
Always a fantastic place to come to, as the service is always fast and portions are always big. They serve a great range of Greek, Mexican, and some Italian food, but everything there is definitely delicious, believe me, I've tried most of it!
I kept walking by in the morning & seeing their breakfast specials. I finally got the arracheta burrito this morning (to go/take away). It was delicious & did not disappoint!! It was ready when I got there to pick it up, tasty seasonings, no gristle or fat in the meat, and they wrapped it well. I pi
I visited Salonica for breakfast with my family and had a very enjoyable experience! They have a wide variety of options in their breakfast menu that aren't too pricey and the service was extremely quick. There is a sense of camaraderie within the restaurant and all of the employees are very kind. T
