I am not sure if a review of Sociale can truly capture the absolute awesomeness of the Good Eats Group and their various restaurants, but I will give it a try. Martin and John (owners) had been catering events for me for almost 2 years when it came time to plan my rehearsal dinner for our wedding. In addition to being my caterer, my fiancé (now husband) and I have eaten at their other restaurants and love their food, so we knew we could rely on them for a delicious rehearsal dinner. As luck would have it, our wedding took place only about 4 blocks away from Sociale and we were able to host an amazing rehearsal dinner for our wedding party and out of town guests! Our journey to planning the rehearsal began with Martin graciously inviting us into the restaurant to do a tasting of different wines and menu items that would be a good fit for a passed hors d'oeuvres reception of 40-50 people. The food and wine were amazing! Having planned several events with Good Eats, and other caterers, a general concern of mine is how an item will be presented to guests and consumed. Martin had a plan for each item that was easy to take off the serving platter and be eaten without a tremendous amount of effort or mess, while still having 2-4 bites of each. They were incredibly accommodating and allowed us to pull items from their other restaurant menus (Sono Wood Fired Pizza & Burger Bar). We shared with Martin about how my grandfather was a great fisherman and smoked his own whitefish, so Martin created a crostini topped with a smoked whitefish spread that truly rivaled my grandfather's! For the actual dinner, Martin blocked out about half of the bar area for us, by their wine case, which allowed easy access for drinks for our guests and the food to come directly out of the kitchen at an appropriate temperature directly into our guests hands/mouths. Sociale set up a beautiful piece of polished wood for a cheese and charcuterie bar by the wine case. Our guests could not stop talking about how delicious all of the food was-- especially the smoked whitefish spread, the pork belly with kimchi, and the scallops with pistachio butter. Everyone equally loved the two desserts: Brazilian bread pudding and chocolate panna cotta. Overall, it was such an amazing night that we decided to return to Sociale for brunch on the Sunday morning after our wedding!
I had a fantastic experience here yesterday! The vibe in this place is great! The level of service is beyond outstanding. Jackie and Nayelle, our servers, were phenomenal! My favorite dish here is the pork belly "lollipops" wrapped in bacon! The branzino was also fantastic! I love how the place has windows wrapped all the way around it that can open when it's nice outside. I can't wait to try their seasonal honey cinnamon sangria! I know this is random, but even the bathrooms are classy---love that wallpaper in there! This is definitely a great addition to the neighborhood.
Visited on the second day after open, no liquor license yet, however Urban Pantry is steps away, for BYOB needs. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, we never felt rushed and they checked with us regularly. The menu, while not enormous, offered plenty of vegetarian and seafood options, but will happily also satisfy carnivores. Every plate we ordered, from the spreads to the scallops and the octopus, was perfectly prepared. Would not only recommend, as neighbors to this bright spot, we are already planning on returning.
great happy hour deals, outdoor deck, I had tamarind mussels and a draft beer

The food was delicious and our server was very attentive. Had a great brunch with my bf! #BottomlessMimosas
Courtney mixes the best beverages in the city. Definite must when in the south loop
Mediterranean small plates are almost a cliche these days, but Sociale knocks the ball out of the park with a fabulous new take on old standbys. Everything we ordered was beautifully done, from the flavorful tortilla to the feta burrata, brandade croquettes, and grilled octopus. Great cocktails and an interesting madeira flight. And did I mention the deserts? My childhood favorite, zeppole, served with a pot of chocolate sauce. Excellent, attentive service and a personal visit from chef Mark. Can't wait to get back!

Celebrated my birthday here tonight. Once again, did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and waitstaff very attentive!
The food was amazing and the combination of the plates were delicious!!! Service was excellent and the staff was exceptional!!! I will be back!!!
Excellent food, cocktails, atmosphere and service. Would definitely go again
In one word it was Fabulous!!! From the roasted cauliflower to the duck confit stew... Yum with an extra helping of yum!
I’ve never had the food. I’ve only had the chai tea latte and the chocolate chip cookie. That’s all I need. I’ve never had a better cookie in my life. I will come back just for that. The host was very hospitable and the service was good.
Cookie cookie. a cake pop on the way out. Everything was clean and it was even a bulletin board for posting different things about the community. I thought that that was very good. I am super excited to come back and eat another cookie. It is a two person tagteam deal but also try the actual food.
We recently hosted our firm's holiday party at Sociale Chicago, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! From start to finish, the entire evening was a resounding success, thanks to the incredible team at Sociale.
The service was outstanding. The staff at Sociale Chicago went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of. From the initial planning stages to the night of the event, their professionalism and attention to detail were exceptional. They were attentive and accommodating, making sure our specific needs and preferences were met.
The menu featured a delicious array of options that catered to all dietary preferences, and the presentation was impeccable.
The spacious layout allowed our team to mingle comfortably without feeling "stuck" or crowded.
In summary, our firm's holiday party at Sociale Chicago was a tremendous success, and we owe it all to the exceptional team behind this fantastic venue. Thank you, Sociale, for making our celebration one to remember. We highly recommend Sociale Chicago to anyone in search of a top-notch event venue – you won't be disappointed!
We were there for dinner as three tired and hungry men.
Very nice atmosphere, super assistance on selection food and drink...
Our selections were wagyu steak, lamb chops, pasta with grilled chicken and margaritha bread. All were perfect and delicious.
The online menu needs some immediate attention, it’s very hard to read online, it’s not very mobile friendly at the moment. We were offered an iPad to read the menu which was helpful. Once we got thought that, our drinks and food was amazing. The expresso martini got rave reviews from our group, the brisket sandwich was exceptional. Was a great night to sit in their out door area, but the tables need to be properly spaced out between groups, had a had time getting into our seats. Server was very friendly, but could have checked on us a few more times.
I came with a friend. It was easy to make a reservation. The portions were generous. We order es the burger and salmon. The bacon on the burger was thick cut and the egg was not very runny. I liked the side salad substitution for fries because the salad as fresh and with good ingredients. I loved how the restroom had a towel dispenser just to open the door because it lets employees wash and not contaminate their hands when they open the door. We ate outside and it was pretty quiet.
Had a great meal tonight with a large group. The chef/owner came out at the end and personally thanked us and asked for feedback. Very nice touch and heartfelt. Top notch food and atmosphere.
We hosted a large dinner for about 20 people this evening. Martin Murch was incredibly helpful in helping with the reservation and curating a menu that was perfect for our event. When we arrived we were seated quickly, and that was followed by impressive service that continued through our evening. The food was fantastic. Everyone was so impressed with everything that was served. I would highly recommend this restaurant! We would happily host another event here!
We absolutely loved everything. The atmosphere was rustic, sitting outside on the patio just added to that feeling. Blake (our waiter) was fun and served us quickly, never had to ask for a refill! So much flavor in every bite! From Starters, Entree to dessert, everything was the right portions (even though we could have kept eating everything!) As far as drinks, definitely recommend their margaritas! Can’t wait to go back!
I went there in the middle of the day so not busy at all. That said the staff was pleasant and the food was very good. Also, a remarkably good Bloody Mary. Maybe not the best ever but no complaints.
I had the pork belly and the salad with chicken. Salad was a bit small for the price but I enjoyed it a lot. I was surprised the pork belly was so good.
Will definitely go back.
My husband and I absolutely love this place. We went during brunch hours which on the weekend is from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. My hubby was able to order his pancakes eggs and bacon which let me tell you those pancakes were absolutely amazing never taste the recipe like that before ever! I had the Honey Soy Pork Belly as my appetizer and the buttermilk chicken sandwich with house pickles as my main course. The Honey Soy Pork Belly was out of this world! My sandwiches average, it was actually fried a little too hard, and I didn't like the cheese that was on it but the house pickles were delicious.

Made a quick decision to stop in at this restaurant near our house. It was fun and warm crowd. My partner wanted to try their mushroom flat bread, and it was quite good.
We loved the Mimosa drink, their beet salad and grilled Eggplant.
The Chai Masala wasn’t the one I expected to be though.
Amazing cocktails and small plates. Octopus with grapefruit, meatballs, tartare, mussels everything our server recommended was excellent. Go with their suggestions as the menu changes. Had an amazing time here!
The Hostess tonight was Awesome! She was very accommodating and happy to be of service. She was knowledgeable about the menu and pleasant to speak to. Overall, I had a great experience and look forward to going back!
I highly recommend Sociale!!!
Food was really good and great variety of cocktails and wine list.
Definitely recommend the flat bread, little doughnuts (just like beignets), parmesan truffle fries, spinach dip.
Easy access by CTA, metra, or parking is easily found.
Service was average but not bad.
Awesome spot for brunch, with a few tables outside. Service was quick, food was tasty, plated well, and fairly priced for city brunch. Steak and eggs, French omelet, and Polenta fries were delicious! Two bloody marys, an appetizer, and two main entrées came to roughly $80 before tip.
When we walked in we were informed that it was last call for food. We decided on our meal quickly and then waited 15 minutes for them to take our order. A little annoying, I didn't complain, but they must have noticed that they forgot about us. After that it got better. Service was very attentive. The heirloom beet salad was delicious and so were the scallops (but you only get 2). The whiskey drink on the menu was also good. We enjoyed the background music and atmosphere.
