The best breakfast item in Chicago is Jam and Honey Chilaqiles with over medium egg on top. I’ve had it 20 times and it has been perfect every time.

1st time there and will defentlly come back. The service and atmosphere is awesome not to mention the food also. Our waiter was very pleasant and sociable. We are from the southside by Midway airport and don’t care about the long drive. 👍

Great breakfast menu and fantastic breakfast. Everything I have ordered has been beyond delicious. Wish I lived near there. I would eat there every day. A spot everybody must go to.

Gluten free pancakes and waffles. The first time in 5 years I've been able to order these out. They were yummy. Hubby had pork belly hash and duck bacon.

Great breakfast place! The menu offers traditional breakfast fare as well as some options. Great service as well. It is a cash only establishment, so come with cash, or they have an ATM to use as well.

Good service! We were offered a free plate of French toast (delicious), because the cooks made an extra order by mistake? Glad they didn't throw it out and let us benefit instead! All of our food was correct, and great! Big portion sizes. The walls can be opened up to allow a nice breeze through the restaurant. I'd visit again!

Stopped in for breakfast. I had the chorizo hash with over easy eggs & my husband had the pork belly hash with sunny side up eggs. My hash was delicious -- the jalapeno & chorizo gave the dish a good kick without being overwhelming. The guac had seen better days as that could have been a little fresher, but it was nicely limey, which is how I like it. My husband enjoyed his hash, though I noticeably had far more chorizo in mine than he had pork belly in his. When we went, it was cash-only, which was posted on the door so we knew that going in.

My wife saw this place from the train and took me here for breakfast this morning. We love the neighborhood that surrounds it and the ease of accessibility from the brown line. We were sat at the front most table so I can't speak to the entire restaurant but it appeared very clean and up kept. The service was very fast and friendly. The menu had a great selection of Benedict options and various waffles and pancakes. The food was delicious and the coffee was great too. Highly recommend.

To those who have rated this goldmine less than 5 stars ... WHO HURT YOU?! I would challenge every one of you to a duel to defend the honor of this establishment! In all seriousness, consider applying my #1 restaurant rule: Always try someplace twice - you might have gone on an off night. Jam N' Honey is a place worth going to over and over again - we couldn't stop talking about it! This was the only place my friend and I even considered stopping at twice during our trip to Chicago; the food and hospitality was so above-and-beyond - it gives me hope in humanity! Kasia was our waitress; she was very welcoming and informative and an absolute joy to be around! She was right when she said that we'd be back! We also met Gigi, one of the co-owners who heard about me weeping over their Oatmeal Pancakes! (Easily the best thing I have ever tasted - I cried, this dish is a religious experience. I'm not a particularly religious person but, I saw god and they exist in the form of a pancake in this little diner!) Seriously, they're so good I ordered some to take back home to Louisville! We also tried the Chicken Tortilla Soup - which my friend doesn't usually care for - but they liked it so much that they ordered it specifically on our second stop before we left the city. This is a required stop when I come to Chi in the future (... unless you ever decide you want to open a location in Louisville)! All the best fortune to everyone here and to the random girl who suggested we try this place out! I will be back!

OMG this place is amazing. I have been here many many times and I always look forward to my next visit. If you’re looking for a good breakfast in the city this is definitely a winner. It’s not an overpriced Brunchie plates but good quality breakfast food at affordable prices. If you have kids family visiting it’s a great experience for them as well.

The food was super fresh here! I got the chorizo hash and it was delicious, had plenty of leftovers as well. Keep in mind this place is cash only. It also gets noisy once it starts to fill up.

It’s a little pricey but the portions were huge and the service was fast. Workers were also friendly. It’s a really cute cozy breakfast place.

Okay so delicious! First the staff was incredible and service was so fast even for Sunday Brunch. The traditional eggs benedict was fabulous with juicy, thick cut ham, soft poached eggs and a rich, flavourful hollandaise. I was very impressed! Also the ambiance was like an upbeat and classier take on classic diner. They played plenty of Ariana Grande so I was in heaven with the music too🤩

This place is great. I've been here a couple times and I don't mind returning. I ate outside. My server, Mallory, was patient. They don't put Nutella jars on the table anymore for safety/health reasons. They did not have crab at the time so I didn't get to enjoy the crab Benedict. The pictures are the stuffed French toast and veggie burrito.

Great local spot for breakfast and lunch. When it gets busy, it gets very loud inside and service becomes a little slower because of the number of tables they have. But they are always very kind. Reminder to bring cash because they don't accept cards. Another great perk is a pancake to snack on for kids while you wait to order.

Tasty brunch including the veggie burrito, South of the border burrito, potatoes were great, the orange walnut banana French toast was kind of funny tasting, the service kind of took a while, and it’s cash only.
