Great food and friendly staff. I've been looking for a place nearby with good German beer and I found the spot.

Food was excellent and fast. Drinks were fun. Prices were steep but, comparable to downtown spots. Great stop before seeing Thrones at the Apollo.

I went there last night randomly with my boyfriend and was not in the slightest disappointed. The beer was so delicious and the food was incredible. We are talking about going there again as soon as we can!

The brews on tap are phenomenal and don't even get me started on the food! I came here for my birthday with a group of friends and the bartenders even gave me shots. It's pretty legit to a German bar, too.

We dropped in late and the kitchen was about to close, but the bartender was amazing about everything, gave some amazing recommendations and even added on to our orders with some favorite ways he liked to eat some of the dishes. I wish I had grabbed his name because he was fantastic. The food and drinks were amazing and I'd absolutely love to visit Prost again.

We got the small wurst board and half pretzel — both were delicious, especially the pretzel! We shared the food between three people and that was enough for all of us. You also get to sample any of their extensive beer before buying, which was fun.

Honestly, there are too few German bars in Chicago nowadays. This one does a great job of keeping a traditional German feel while appealing to younger people. And they serve 2 liter boots. Prost!

The atmosphere, drinks, and food are always great every time I've been here. We even have big enough tables to bring in our own boardgames and play, and even play DnD. Also that platter that you see in the picture? Only $22. That is insane value. We shared that between 3 of us.

My partner and I have been customers for over 2 years now, and I gotta be honest and say that we don’t keep coming back because of the service. To be honest service has been below average nearly every time we’ve been here, except for this last time. We had the luck and pleasure to be served by Martin last night, who not only was in charge of the bar but also in charge of at least 5 large tables around the bar. He was on top of his game every single time, always ahead of the game and always anticipating whenever we would need to order more food/drinks. We’ve never had better service at Prost! before, it was a 10/10 experience. Will someone give that man a raise already? Not to mention the food and amazing beer, the reasons why we ALWAYS come back. Amazing brat boards, chicken schitzel, cheese curds, pretzels, you name it. An incredible and authentic culinary experience. We’re big fans, will for sure be coming back and surely hope we’re lucky enough to have Martin giving us a 10/10 experience again in the future. Thank you Martin! PS: Management, seriously promote that man and give him a raise already, Martin is the real deal!

A hidden gem in Chicago for beers and great food! We went to this place the other day for casual drinks and it was fantastic. The variety of food and drinks are awesome, and the relaxed environment too. Highly recommended for drinks and for hangout with friends!

Great drink selection. I had the chicken schnitzel strips, and they were awful bland even with the dip. However, my friend had the broccoli beer cheese soup and loved it. The pretzels are HUGE and so are the charcuterie trays! The bathrooms need some work. Kid friendly!

Great place, open seating and servers know there stuff on drinks. Nice smooth wooden tables, dimmed lighting and multiple TV’s at every angle so you don’t miss out if watching something. Food is very filling with large portion size.

Pretzel is a must! It's definitely the best one I've ever had, including the ones in Germany. Beer was good. I'm not a beer person but loved the Oktoberfest beer when I visited Germany. It wasn't the same but the atmosphere was spot on! Definitely recommend.

I always had a liking for a German beer hall! I really liked this spot. The rating is completely relative to my other favorite restaurants. They really got a very good selection of German/European beers. They also have quite a lot of games (like board games that you can see in one of my pics) that you could try. I would definitely recommend this place at least once. You might like it and could be a regular there.

Mediocre food: sauerkraut from a grocery store with no additional spices, spaetzle with a weird charred flavor to it as if cooked in a dirty pan, and weisswurst sliced and grilled like any other sausage (weisswurst is always boiled and served tender with sweet mustard.... but not here!). The only bright spot here is their giant pretzel, very tasty! The service was good, and great beer selection with the German classics available. Atmosphere is pretty great, and the Sunday night trivia was very fun and lively. I'd come back here for the beer and atmosphere, but I won't be giving their food a 2nd chance.

Had a decent lunch here. Beer was great, corned beef sandwich was good, spaetzel was surprisingly mediocre/bad. It was way too oily and tasted like the oil instead of delicious carb bombs. Disappointing since spaetzel is normally a favorite of mine.

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon and it was quiet. Quality beer, great shareable plates, and friendly and attentive service. I would love to come back next time I am in town.

The location was nice and the staff friendly. It's not 100% authentic German but it was one of the best German restaurants I have visited in the chicago area. The food was good and the beer tasty 😋. If I go again to chicago I will visit again.

We came here for Sunday trivia and enjoyed the game. The host did a good job and all the questions were displayed on screens. Other folks were still able to enjoy televised sports at the bar. We enjoyed the pretzel which was soft, a bit chewy and well salted by flakes on top. The wurst sausage is very flavorful. Sides of warm, tangy potato salad and Spaetzle.

The pretzel was awesome. The beer cheese it comes with really makes it. The sausage platter was good .. it was fun to eat something more authentic. $20 for the platter felt fair. They have a great selection of beer but their cocktail selection was lacking. I would come again.
