The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was made fresh and replenished in an adequate amount of time. The food had a great flavor. The bathrooms were clean and stocked with supplies.
Service was a little slow, but they were keeping busy! My Patti Melt was good!! The other, tuna salad was also luscious!
Had seafood buffet for dinner. Fried catfish, jambalaya, pasta
It was very crowed. We had a reservation for a party of 4 and was seated quickly. They had an omelet and waffle station made to order. The greens was very good along with the roast beef and han. The chicken was a bit dry and the bacon was a bit greasy. The seafood salad was bland. However the smoked salmon and capers was very tasty along with the bagels loxs and cream cheese. They had unlimted mimosa and a bar area to watch the game in the next room. The food was replenished quickly as the containers emptied. And the assortment of desserts were delightful. The view of the lake was amazing as well. All in all I would definitely return.
The Sunday Brunch is always delicious! They also have a great Friday evening seafood brunch. Ask for Patrick. He'll make sure you have a great experience!

The food was awesome. This restaurant is a buffet including a build your own waffles station and a build your own eggs station.
We have been here several times on Friday evenings for the seafood buffet. The food is great as well as the live music. Patrick is such a nice man! He checked on us at least three times to make sure everything was okay. It is obvious that he loves his job! Thank you Patrick!
Patrick, Ramon, and Danny treated my wife and I like their uncle and auntie! The buffet was great, so we will be back. I just found out about jazz Friday’s too! Cool views of the lake. Thank you all for a warm Chicago welcome. No wonder everyone says Chicagoans are awesome!
Hyde Park seekers what are you waiting for! Come dine at the Lake Shore Cafe. This place is nice to have a really great meal... The portions are excellent as in you will get full. Also the prices are unbeatable. Not only do you get to select your meal from the menu they let you have this scrumptious Buffett..which includes fresh salad, salmon fruit other salad categories... Like you can't go wrong. The staff is Awesome... From the begging to the end. I enjoyed my food so I asked who were the cooks on duty. I stopped in on a Sunday. I ordered the chicken pasta and my friend had the shrimp pasta. So keep up the good work Lake Shore Cafe. See you soon.
Delicious food, great and wide variety, serving buffet, changed/cleaned often, very nice staff. Pricey for a brunch but worth every penny!! Great atmosphere. Can be cozy and fun for groups or couples. Variety of rooms to book and eating areas. Loved it even has free parking!
Okay please find a way to reopen, get creative, your restaurant had great bar food as well as a great brunch, you could do carry out and delivery service. It seems like there is enough space for social distancing. Your restaurant is much much more than a place just for a buffet. The community is missing this great establishment!!!!
This place is awesomely amazing. Staff is so friendly and it really felt like a girls brunch in our home. We had a great time with other patrons celebrating birthdays and just enjoying a great afternoon. "Parking is awful."
I brought my family here for the Friday night seafood buffet. There was a wait to get in but good service once we were inside. The variety of food was impressive, quality above average, but the live jazz just so so.
Friday evening jazz seafood buffet is great. Live jazz music and tasty seafood are a great combination, and reasonably priced too. But can be crowded Friday evenings. Nice place overlooking Lake Michigan across Lake Shore Drive.
It was my first time experiencing this location. My companions and I enjoyed the dining experience. It is a buffet style venue. The food and service was great. We will definitely go back there as a place to eat.
