I found this open by accident a month or so ago. I loved visiting France and it is so hard to find genuine French pastries. I couldn't help but order multiple things. Everything was so good. It did not disappoint and I have already recommended to my friends! It feels like walking down the road in Paris again.

My first visit in this place, I just loved it! The quality of service is superior, Brian was always smiling and willing to help with my doubts. He also recommend me desserts. I definitely will come back.// Mi primera vez en este lugar, muy buen servicio de quién nos atendió, buena comida y la música muy agradable. //

Fast, friendly, service...used groupon to try this new spot specifically the macaroons for my daughter. They had a variety and we got 6 different ones. Didn't have a huge selection of other baked sweets but had plenty of macaroons... the sea salt caramel was yummy and i plan to go back and try one of the specialty ones like the smores one that caught my eye.

Nice and cozy place in Belmont for having an European breakfast with excellent pastries. I eat a chocolate croissant so good it was obscene. Also, excellent coffee!

UPDATED: New management, layout, and menu. Now service is quick, while the pastries are still delightful. Cheapest cappuccino in the area. Former review: Great croissants, terrible service. Often you wait 5 minutes for anyone to even notice you're at the counter.

This place was the most beautiful french bakery i have ever been to! They have the best crepes of all time. The staff was very friendly and pleasurable. The whole place made you feel at home and feel safe. Great place to check out when you are in Chicago. I will defiantly be going back to this cafe next time I'm in Chicago.

I came in here earlier in the day, the Starbucks down the street has no where to sit down and I had some work I needed to do. I ordered a sandwich and a cold drink upon entering, the staff was very polite. On a Saturday morning/afternoon the space was just quiet enough to work on my laptop with no interruptions (the Wi-Fi password was provided). Upon exiting I decided to buy a couple of tarts and eclairs, they were all amazingly good and buttery. I will definitely be back to try a coffee drink as i feel that's the only thing I didn't get to try.

Everything about this little French shop is lovely. From the customer service, to the European breakfast sandwich I just finished, to the whole milk vanilla latte I just drank, to the sweet pistachio macaroon I just enjoyed... it was all excellent. I recommend.

Best macarons!! I especially love the lavender one. The coffee is also always fresh and delicious. You can't go wrong with anything here. Croissants are also great!

Walked in here after going out to eat at strings. And purchased a tons of bread and sweets. The bread was so good and they had a nice selection to choose from. And the sweets we purchased happened to be very good. The bread pudding was amazing. We will be back soon 😀.

Yummy! Freshly baked artisan bread is always a treat to find in the area. The deserts are particularly tasty and very well executed. The Paris Brest was beautifully baked with a crispy puff pastry and perfectly balanced hazelnut creme. The watermelon, lemon curd tart was perfectly, tart. It was refreshing, a perfect way to end a heavy meal. The double chocolate tart was rich and smooth, leaving you wanting more and more. You can use your belly card here so rack up as many points as you can to score freebies :) Such quality comes at a pretty price, but if you're looking to celebrate an occasion or willing to indulge yourself a little, you can't go wrong with the breads and pastry here.

Desserts to die for. Authentic French bakery that will blow you away. Prices extremely reasonable for the quality. Have an eclair you will not regret it! And the baguette? If you get them fresh always buy one extra it will not survive the trip home!

I walked by this cafe for a long time before finally going in. The coffee, the ambiance, the aromas, the pastries, the bread, the macaroons, the staff, the customers...everything about La Boulangerie is inviting and warm with an obvious European feel. My favorites are the almond croissants and the salted caramel macaroons.
