This is a great restaurant. The falafel was outstanding as was the rest of the food and the prices were very reasonable almost low considering the restaurant is in Chicago.

So good ad really inexpensive. We ordered the dozen falafel and some very good sauce. Yum I had ordered a chicken shawarma which was very delicious and my husband had the beef/lamb dinner. Great dinner and we really enjoyed it. The service was top notched and we liked the BYOB and wishes we stopped off to a liquor store beforehand. We definitely will be back!

Went to Dawali for lunch yesterday for the first time. The zesty humus was so delicious! I like spicy food and did not think it was hot. It was fresh and flavorful, served with warm pita bread. The grilled veggie wrap was tasty and filling. The shawerma chicken wrap was wonderful, also. The wraps are bigger than expected and we brought half home. Very good prices. We will be back.

I can't deduct any stars for any reason. The service was quick and courteous. I was in the neighborhood with my girlfriend and we decided to try it out. The first thing we went for on the menu is the sampler. The waitress warned us that it's for groups of four because their portions are large. We were very hungry and the waitress was not kidding. We got through the sampler and I was mostly full but we got sandwiches anyways. My meat-eater brain was telling me I was not done eating because I hadn't gotten a portion of meat yet, but I'd recommend this place to any vegan or vegetarian as I was pretty full before the sandwich. The quality of the food was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and their handling of the cuisine makes a lot of the flavors stand out from each other. This goes for all three: the veggies, the grains, and meats. The restaurant is minimalist in design, at least to my eyes, as I was more focused on the chill Mediterranean music being played. There isn't anything overly decorated and their restroom is very clean. The waitresses both looked neat and wore simple black attires. Their menu is very descriptive and not overabundant. The visiting demographic I saw was mostly office-folk, I assume from neighboring commerce. I remember paying somewhere around 20 dollars and I think that's agreeable for two very hungry people. If you walk into this store with that one friend that bashes vegetarians and vegans, this is the place to make them apologize.

Great neighbourhood place! Unfortunately this place will close on may 18,2019 and relocate to the west loop.

Love it I'm originally from Middle East and I've been in this country for 15 years. And I have not tasted an original Mediterranean food with an original taste like I did at this location. You don't got to take my word for it or you going to do is come by and try to yourself. Even their price is reasonable for the food that you're going to get. Beat fast food restaurants and their fake meals

Food is incredible! And so affordable! The kabobs are more pricey but you can get labob sandwiches for very cheap and they're incredible. Can't recommend enough. The bread pie is really good too. The cheese one isn't too cheesy at all and is perfect, especially with the mint!

Fantastic casual place for Mediterranean food. The salad sampler with chicken kabob is a huge amount for a 2 person meal. The beef and lamb wrap is good but have had better lamb before. The soup of the day is often curry vegetable stew. It is delicious and hope it is on the menu whenever we order. We've done carry out and dined in. Dawali is great value for good portions and tasty Mediterranean fare.

This place is definitely a hidden gem! I ordered the falafel plate and it was so fresh and delicious. There was enough on there for me to make 4 falafel half sandwiches. The falafel itself was very fresh and tasty, just like the hummus. My friend ordered fries and they came in a nice sized basket with a delicious sauce, the masala seasoning on these very fresh fries was perfect. Very kind staff and a cozy atmosphere.

Came on a Friday night, there was no wait. Service was fast and the waitress was very nice. I had the chicken shwerma and the spicy hummus. It was delicious! I will definitely be back! Loved it!

I come here almost every time I have to go to North ave. This place usually has people in it, whether dining or carrying out. I especially like the kufta, meal or sandwich, doesnt matter to me, its delicious. I usually order double helpings of meat every time I order as well. Another shout out to the curry sauce, I find it better than the garlic for sure. I also really like the desserts. I get my food really quickly here, I actually managed to make it in and out of the place in 20 mins, with bill paid and everything. The food has always been really fresh and it always seems prepared at the moment i order it, it comes hot from the kitchen and doesnt taste chewy. The place is definitely a diner, but nicely done up, with nice decor. The wait staff is good too, dont bother you too much and help you make decisions.

Great Middle Eastern restaurant with a very friendly atmosphere. The beef shawerma is fantastic. The place has a very contemporary atmosphere and all the deserts I've had there are killer. I used to live next to the Albany Park location and made it a ritual of going there 2-3 times a week. Just went the 2nd spot in Lincoln Park and that place is just as great.

Pros: Very close to the North and Clybourn red line stop BYOB - beer and wine only Accepts credit cards and takes reservations Delicious food Cons: None My go to here is the house falafel. They add in a extra ingredients and it really takes an already tasty falafel to the next level. It also goes for only $6 which is a steal for both your wallet and your taste buds.

Coming from the Middle East, I can genuinely say that the food here feels just like home! We had the chicken shawarma wrap, hummus, kibbeh, and foul and everything tasted fresh and delicious! Price was reasonable and service was great. Definitely recommend checking this place out!
