I can't believe that I have lived blocks away from this place for the past 20 years and have never dined at BarTucci. I love authentic Italian food so my family and I decided to give BarTucci a try. It's a small restaurant with BIG flavor! It has a warm and inviting atmosphere, its a great dining experience... period! From the appetizers to the main dishes, the food is absolutely delicious and the service was great. The portions are pretty large so make sure you go with an appetite. I wasn't able to try the desserts because we went on my birthday and we had a cake waiting for me at home. We plan on returning and becoming regulars. I will definitely make room for that tiramisù... it looked ah~mazing!
I highly recommend BarTucci. Try it out for yourself... you won't be disappointed.
Food was fresh tasty delicious. The bread was fresh and crunchy. You can actually bring your own Drinks so it's a plus. I do recommend this place
BarTucci Homemade Italian Food is an absolute amazing ! Their chicken Vesuvio is hands down the best I've ever tasted - tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The Bruschetta was a delightful surprise, bursting with freshness and a harmonious blend of flavors that left me craving for more.
The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, creating a cozy atmosphere for a delightful dining experience. The attentive and friendly staff added to the overall enjoyment of the evening.
From start to finish, my culinary journey at BarTucci was an exceptional one. If you're a fan of authentic Italian cuisine, this place is an absolute must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delectable offerings. Highly recommended!
We started with the Frittura Mista and a Insalata di Immondizia. Both were delicious.
Then we ordered the Linguini Frutti de Mare, the Pappardelle ai Fungi Misti and the Scampi all Arrabiati. The Pappardelle and the Scampi were very good, but the sauce for the Linguini was disappointing.
The service was absolutely amazing!
Very upset that I've lived in the neighborhood this long and haven't tried this place out. Went here with my family Sunday at opening, staff right away took care of us, right away the floors were clean white as well as the wood tables. Jennifer our waitress came by to make sure we were filled up on drinks and bread. The bread is legit too, reminds me of growing up having it fresh every day. The staff was very understanding of my families dietary restrictions so they offered some veggie options for my family as well. I myself had the vodka rigatoni. First thing I'll say is the noodles have a nice thickness to them which immediately told me these were made in house, a lot of times with pasta noodles they just take on whatever flavor profile is in the sauce, this was the first time in a long time both the pasta and the sauce had their own distinct flavor that complemented each other. The sauce wasn't too creamy either it was just right for my liking.I also tried out the minestrone which comes in a large portion but wow is it packed with flavor. Safe to say I think my SO and I will be back soon to try out more options, but for our first time, wow this was exceptional!
Our server Kyle was absolutely amazing! He attended to us for our every need; he was very flexible and informative when we asked questions on the menu. The vibe of the restaurant was a mix of comfortable and fancy, it gave it that homey feel while also being classical and modern. The restaurant was well-kept, very clean, and had delicious food! Even if we came late (9:00pm!) and the courses we wanted were sold out, the food that was provided was one of the best fresh Italian dishes I have ever had. You could definitely tell that the pasta, sauce, cheese, and meat was locally sourced and homemade from scratch. I could not get over the tiramisu either! Our server, Kyle, was telling us the story of the tiramisu and its recipe origins; which made it even more appealing and mouth watering! My family had a pleasurable experience that we will never forget! Definitely a must come for anyone in Chicago.
We decided to try this place on a slow (for us) Saturday evening. We just moved to the area and still exploring… Let me tell you…this place is a hidden gem and i plan on being one of the “regulars” here. I am truly amazed how good the food was.

Tucked away and hidden inside a strip mall in the Dunning neighborhood is one of Chicago's best kept secrets. Homey, inviting, and down-to-earth, they serve up fresh pasta cooked at a perfect al dente, accompanied by immaculate sauces, impossibly tender meat that slips off the bone, and all supported by impeccable service. Prices are super reasonable too for the portions that you get. BarTucci's quickly rised the ranks and has become one of my top 2 Italian restaurants. Go check this place out, you won't leave disappointed or hungry. Don't forget to pick up your favorite bottle of wine on the way as its BYOB.
Went on a Sunday night. Had a reservation but took a few minutes to get seated. Only one waitress. The service started weak and I was disappointed. But this little girl turned things around in a very stressful situation and won us over! Food was great and my goodness the bill was reasonable!
Food so much better than many years ago and still reasonably priced. We love mussels and Frutti di Mare. Fresh seafood fresh pasta well seasoning. Intuitive services from Jason. Great outdoor seats and free parking. $10 corkage fees.
