It is pricier than your normal breakfast sandwich but I think it's worth it every now and again to treat yourself with something like it.
This place is awesome...every time I eat there I get more and more excited. The quality of ingredients is the biggest attribute. Everything...perfectly cooked eggs, bread, bread selection for each sandwich, meat quality is farm fresh and cheese pairings really works great. I just wish I could eat it everyday. I did just notice they have a small non-egg lunch menu...I wish it was bigger, as I would def come here for lunch, but eggs for lunch...I'm just not sold yet. We will see.
Great egg sandwiches and coffee on the west side of the Loop. The servers here are always polite and friendly and service is pretty quick for food that isn't pre-made. One of my favorite places to stop on my way into work.
Also the coffee is great! And they have rotating pastries, right now there are tiny apple cider donuts!
I've eaten here a few times now for breakfast (haven't had lunch here) and have to say that I am addicted to The Crown. I've tried The Captain, The Eastman, and The Scoundrel and while they are all good, nothing has compared to the perfection of The Crown so far.
The location itself is pretty quick for both their food truck and physical location. The service has always been polite and the lattes from the physical location are good. Not as great as the sandwich but enjoyable.
The brioche, cheese and egg sandwich with salsa verde is one of the best breakfast sandwiches you can get in the city. Generally quick service and the staff is great. Aside from the food, it is their emotional IQ that makes it a successful joint and has me coming back. I was waiting longer than normal for my food today (15+ mins) and I was getting a little annoyed. I didn't say anything, however the worker could tell I was there for awhile and gave me a sticker that said "The next meal is on us". I really appreciated the gesture!
Good breakfast sandwich and coffee for under $10 (you can spend more for some items) excellent egg and quality ham. Nothing wrong with the coffee. Friendly staff that likes their job is a plus.
I am still exploring the menu as they just opened recently. I had the Doc sandwich this morning and I asked for no Bacon, they took $2 off because I didn't want the bacon. I've been eating Egg McMuffin sandwiches for years and McDonald's never took anything off, but if you ask for another topping instead, they charge you more for it.. It is about time restaurants make a change to this industry and provide a better customer experience that makes me want to come back. Thank you Eastman Egg Company.
great food! will make you never want another mcmuffin. lunch menu is expanding and also tasty. fun modern atmosphere. the staff has killer smiles and killer personalities. loved it!
Service was excellent. I took my food to go, and made small talk with the woman who took my order (including where I work). When I got to work I realized they had given me the wrong order, but I didn’t have time to go back and get it corrected. Imagine my surprise when the wonderfully sweet woman who take my order came all the way to my office (next door, but still) to bring me my correct order. She really went above and beyond. Amazing service.
This is all things good about a quick breakfast. Simple, clean, made fresh. The coffee is fantastic. It's everything a cage free, locally sourced, farm loving foodie could want.
Delicious food and great asthetic. Wish I had been able to eat there. I went on a Friday morning at 8:45 and was at my office across the street by 9:05. Pretty quick considering it was packed! Glad I decided to stop:)
Fantastic menu with high quality ingredients. One of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city (amazing bacon). Skip McD's next door and upgrade yourself.
Best egg sandwiches I've ever had! Quick service, cool space, great iced coffee, local, top quality ingredients. Try it!
Excellent breakfast sandwich and coffee. I've stopped here a few times for my morning breakfast. A little pricey but worth the spurge now and then.
Egg sandwich was fantastic and enormous. Terrific environment to lunch and get some work done. Friendly and attentive staff. Overall A+ experience.
Taste great. Turkey sausage was great. Biscuits were freshly made (taste like homemade). Eggs ok.
Fantastic little place. Recently was in Chicago for two days, and after going the first day, went back the second. I think their coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had also
