So happy we found our new go-to ice cream shop! We’ve been in the neighborhood for a year and I’m shocked/mad I didn’t find it sooner! Matt was SO helpful, friendly and generous to us and gave us free samples upon entry. They have TONS of unique flavors that you wouldn’t find anywhere else. The atmosphere is out of this world! We sat outside to enjoy the little bit of warm weather we have left and Matt came out with cups of water, amazing customer service! Will definitely be back.
This place is the real deal. Friendly service and delicious treats. Employees never get tired of giving samples of ice cream and fudge.
I don’t understand how anyone could possibly not like this place. So glad they are in the neighborhood and my children love this place and the inside decor is very unique.

Unique Ice Cream Shop. Polite staff. Indoor & outdoor seating. Open until 11pm everyday. Over 20 flavors to choose from & they have cakes available too.
I ordered a scoop of ice cream in a sprinkle cone. The total was $10. I ordered a scoop of ice cream in a cup and it was $7.

Literally the coolest ice cream place I've ever seen. The amount of love put into the decorations was very clear, and the theme was Animal Farm, which was super cool. The people were really nice and kept bringing around waters and samples for people. Everything was super tasty too. 10 stars!!!!!!
The atmosphere is great, the ice creams are very delicious, the service is spectacular, while my wife and I decided what flavor of ice cream we wanted, they gave us to try some delicious chocolates. I will definitely come back and bring all my family and friends to enjoy these ice creams.
Stopped in here on a recent bike ride. It is just off the North Branch forest preserve bike trail. Enjoyed a scoop of mint chocolate in a cup. Delicious flavor and texture. Staff is super friendly, bringing out ice water and ice cream and brownie samples. I always love the interior decorations here, changes season to season. Nice Adirondack chairs outside for customers. Great local business to support. Cash only, ATM on premises.
Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream tailored an incredible experience. Ambiance and decor aside, which is a light aside because the atmosphere and meticulous art as you walk in is captivating, the customer service is out of this world. From the second we walked in, a group of 5, we were welcomed, given various samples of brownies and mini cones, and patiently waited on as we decided the ice cream flavors we desired. After we selected our flavors and purchased our ice cream, cash only but SO WORTH IT, we got to decide if we wanted to sit inside or outside. It was a beautiful day, so we chose to site outside on the adorable lawn chairs. Even with us sitting outside, the customer service went above and beyond. We were brought cups of water and checked on by staff.
Overall, Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream is a must! You will feel like you’re at an all-inclusive resort, not something I ever expected walking into an ice cream shop. Thank you so much to the owner and workers!
I cannot begin the tell you how exceptional the service was . The staff literally go above and beyond . The second we walked in it was sample after sample after sample . They were diligent and explained each flavor we were curious about.
They’re a HUGE variety of flavor & 100% worth the visit . The interior decor is breathtaking and you will not forget this ice cream shop ! Guaranteed to come back . 10/10
The server/cashier is so awesome! So friendly and generous and seems know what we want before we ask for it. Ice cream is wonderful. Brownies were excellent. Soft serve is also great. The clouds in the ceiling are cool! The other decor is a bit scary to me but it's cool.
Coolest, funnest ice cream shop ever! Love the whole experience - the murals, the window displays, and the samples! I took my son and his buddy this week and they gave us samples of brownies and 3 different flavors of ice cream before we even ordered. So fun! Oh and the ice cream is delicious too :)

This place is so cute and ice cream was so delicious! By far the best local ice cream in town! Definitely a must try. Got ourselves some strawberry and cherry ice cream and its bomb! atmosphere is hands down! Loved the Animal Farm inspired decorations and mural. Will come by again next time!
Wow. What an experience! The ambiance was truly thr cherry on top of a stellar ice cream shop experience. My kids loved it!!!!
When walking in we were instantly greeted by smiling faces, brownie and ice cream samples, and a phenomenal and personable team member in Matt (he's the reason I'll be back, along with the black cherry ice cream.) :)

This place has the best artwork and Halloween decorations, but more importantly the best ice cream!! We got tons of samples and each one was better than the next. Matthew showed us great hospitality, thank you!!! We will be back soon for sure!
