Best beef in Chicagoland. Greek fries good as well. Quick friendly service. Nice place to eat in and people watch.
Came here for lunch on Friday that I haven't had a Gyros for over two decades. It was delicious. This place is clean and prompt service.
Great little place in the heart of so many other interesting places to eat near DePaul. It's also about a mile walk to the Lincoln Park Zoo. Great sandwiches and good service!
Extremely flavorful food. highly recommend this spot for a quick tasty bite. super professional staff as soon as you walk in the door. And the Gyros sandwiches no matter if it's Chicken or the Lamb, they give you a healthy portion to fill up on.
Restaurant was clean, service was prompt and friendly. We tried the Italian Beef and chicken gyro. Both were excellent.
Was looking for a go to gyro spot and my search is finally over. This place has amazing gyros with very generous portions. Check them out if you’re in a mood for one because it will not disappoint. Pro tip: Say “well done” for crispy meat 😛

One of the best if not the best gryo’s in Chicago. It’s $17 or so for their gyro platter(which sounds expensive for a gyro) but WELL worth it. Not to mention their staff has great hospitality. I’ve been there only a few times so they don’t recognize me as a regular. I stopped by tonight and asked them for a platter with no pita, extra onions. The owner (I presume) said “since you’re not getting the pita bread, would you like anything else to sub out free of charge”? I didn’t want anything else really, but it’s the thought that counts. I’m moving from the loop to lakeview and little things like that will generate reoccurring customers such as my self.
Had a tasty gyro and they were playing Formula One Free Practice. Super awesome bonus.
The food here is AMAZING!
I got "The Big Daddy Combo" & that sandwich has got to be the BEST sandwich I've ever had! The combo came with fries & a drink--which we're fine, but DANG...that sandwich was something else!
My first time... I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of my gyros sandwich and the staff was particularly pleasant and accommodating, as well.
Nice moist meat (some places it's overcooked or reheated and dry), generous portions, tasty tzatziki sauce, and 2 ounce containers (I always want extra) are $0.85. Reasonable. My new favorite gyros sandwich source!
Known for the Big Daddy Burger Challenge, this a quaint burger restaurant located near Lincoln Park area. Their gyros were excellent.
The food was good, service great and location awesome. We needed a quick bite after a long walk from the zoo and Johnny's was a perfect fit.

Wife got a beef dipped without any peppers. The meat had great seasoning and was very flavorful. The gyro plate had tons of food on it. The meat had a good char level.
People complain about the prices, but the serving size and fresh made ingredients these days are not cheap.
Employee taking orders was very pleasant and patient waiting for my daughter to order her food.
Will gladly come back.
Better place to have a hot dog, burgers🍔, French fries 🍟, shakes, a very clean place with friendly staff.
