Galit Restaurant - Chicago - Photo album

Food was amazing. Life changing hummus. Every dish was incredible and well composed. Cocktail selection is excellent. The course pacing was perfect. The atmosphere was nice and the service good but didn't feel special. Food makes it worth it for the price.
This experience was awesome. Food was delicious and service was great. The only things is I wish they paced the courses slower. And another thing would be clearly noting which dishes are veggie friendly as I had this noted in my reservation and a few items we ordered I didn’t know were not vegetaria
Great takes on middle eastern dishes. Nothing was one-note, and many dishes were playful surprises from the kitchen. Menu is prix fixe with variations - I want to go back and try some of the items that I missed!
The hummus, bread, salatim, drinks, and dessert are excellent. I would come back for just these items. I especially loved the pawpaw daiquiri and phyllo pie! The turkey was very tender and juicy but wasn’t shawarma? I ordered it expecting thin spicy meat. Then the mushroom schnitzel was greasy. The
Food was decent but not respective of a Michelin Star restaurant in my opinion with the exception of 1-2 really good dishes. High quality pita bread too. Despite these points, the rest of the dishes were mediocre. The drinks were very well made too. All that being said, the service was fantastic! On
Decided to try out Galit with a friend for a casual Friday night dinner. We were able to sit right in front of the kitchen, which was fun to watch everyone working their magic. Service was great, menu was diverse and atmosphere was fun. Words if we use- go hungry because you will be full! I loved t
This place is very expensive, but it is VERY much worth it if you have a big enough group. Everything about this place just proves that it deserves the Michelin star it received. The service is great, our waitress was courteous but also personable. She did a great job explaining the menu items as w
Incredible food served in small plates on a prix-fixe menu. No disappointing dishes, a clear attention to detail, and some of the best service we have had. The salatim was incredible with only simple ingredients and simple preparation. Some of the best pita we've had. Easily the hummus we've ever h
Our experience at Galit was enjoyable. We visited on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was quite busy - the interior and ambience is lovely, though the environment felt a bit noisy due to the closely spaced tables. The food truly shined in the first course with the Hummus and Salatim. Bubbe’s Bris
A delicious and fun experience, albeit quite overpriced and a somewhat rushed. Superb and creative drinks with unique flavors and aromas. Especially impressed by arak menu, their specialty drinks, and wine list. Our server was engaging and knowledgeable. Ordering is easy and all the dishes are share
There is evidently lots of thought behind each dish. Smoothest hummus I have ever had , falafel was incredible. Everything was super fresh, interesting taste combinations of ingredients.
Incredible food and service. The staff made our celebratory dinner a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this spot to anyone with an upcoming milestone. Wish we could have tried more food, but more of a reason to go back. The portions are LARGE, so come hungry. Thank you for the wonderfu
Hummus & Pita Forever singing my praises about this pita. I don’t think this bread could’ve been any more perfect. It was soft, warm, and inviting—with the perfect amount of crunch and lightness. It was so expertly cooked I had to stop myself from eating too much (and I def did). The hummus was very
Beautiful food. I loved the pickled items and the yogurt butter. The fish was so delicious. I would come here again. They also gave us cookies for the road on our way out. I think they over booked because they place was packed and they charged us for "call", which is weird and I had never seen a tha
We started with the beef brisket hummus. You don't get a lot of beef but that's not really the point. Everything tasted great with the pita & were very distinct from each other. Next we shared the falafel and carrots. We both like the carrots more -- an interesting blend of flavors and textures. Wo
Heard a lot of great things about this place. The hummus was undeniably amazing, with a creamy texture and delightful flavors that left me craving more. However, the pastrami was disappointingly dry and lacked the desired tenderness. The pita came out piping hot. The turkey shawarma was insanely goo
As much as I want to leave 5 stars, the service was not what we expected for a Michelin star restaurant. The food is 10/10, the pita is the best one I’ve ever had, spectacular hummus and the foie is just impeccable. Still the waitress was very condescending when I expressed I had a citrus aversion,
