Food was amazing. Life changing hummus. Every dish was incredible and well composed. Cocktail selection is excellent. The course pacing was perfect. The atmosphere was nice and the service good but didn't feel special. Food makes it worth it for the price.
This experience was awesome. Food was delicious and service was great. The only things is I wish they paced the courses slower. And another thing would be clearly noting which dishes are veggie friendly as I had this noted in my reservation and a few items we ordered I didn’t know were not vegetarian. Overall would love to come back.
Great takes on middle eastern dishes. Nothing was one-note, and many dishes were playful surprises from the kitchen. Menu is prix fixe with variations - I want to go back and try some of the items that I missed!
The hummus, bread, salatim, drinks, and dessert are excellent. I would come back for just these items. I especially loved the pawpaw daiquiri and phyllo pie!
The turkey was very tender and juicy but wasn’t shawarma? I ordered it expecting thin spicy meat. Then the mushroom schnitzel was greasy. The veggies in all the entrées were delicious though.
Food was decent but not respective of a Michelin Star restaurant in my opinion with the exception of 1-2 really good dishes. High quality pita bread too. Despite these points, the rest of the dishes were mediocre. The drinks were very well made too. All that being said, the service was fantastic! One of the hostesses took the time to write a birthday card for my Saudi wife in Arabic which she absolutely loved! Server was also very attentive and friendly. It was very crowded, however. All things considered, would likely not return for just the food but certainly would for the service and vibe!
Decided to try out Galit with a friend for a casual Friday night dinner. We were able to sit right in front of the kitchen, which was fun to watch everyone working their magic. Service was great, menu was diverse and atmosphere was fun. Words if we use- go hungry because you will be full!
I loved that it was a choose your own adventure dining experience, which jeans it would be great for a date night. A combination of sharables is perfect for adventuresome diners! I highly suggest this Michelin star restaurant next time your unsure of what your in the mood for. I bet you’ll be able to find items on this menu that will please your pallet and belly.
This place is very expensive, but it is VERY much worth it if you have a big enough group. Everything about this place just proves that it deserves the Michelin star it received.
The service is great, our waitress was courteous but also personable. She did a great job explaining the menu items as well as how the service was going to work.
The food is also incredible. Of course some items, in my opinion, were better than others but you could really appreciate the variety of the dishes and their flavor profiles as they came out. A huge stand out in my opinion was the lobster dish which was so good we got an extra serving of it afterwards.
If you have the money, give this place a shot! It will be a night to remember for sure.
Incredible food served in small plates on a prix-fixe menu. No disappointing dishes, a clear attention to detail, and some of the best service we have had.
The salatim was incredible with only simple ingredients and simple preparation. Some of the best pita we've had. Easily the hummus we've ever had. The labneh was so tangy and balanced by the hyssop and sumac.
We ordered the heirloom tomatoes and the kubbeh halab, both were solid. The maqluba was stunningly good and the cripsy rice came out perfect. The lamb mergeuz also did not disappoint.
Drinks were good with interesting, distinct flavors.
However, the real highlight was the rice pudding. It was the only thing we could order due to allergens and we weren't super excited, but it blew us away. The cruncy chocolate moose underneath added a great dimension. The candied ginger and two different types of carmelized pears were delightful. We couldn't recommend it more.
My partner has a tree nut allergy and our waitress took the time to hand mark the menu with what had nuts and what could have the nuts substituted out. They were intentional about still bringing the nut elements for me to combine in my portions.
Our experience at Galit was enjoyable. We visited on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was quite busy - the interior and ambience is lovely, though the environment felt a bit noisy due to the closely spaced tables.
The food truly shined in the first course with the Hummus and Salatim. Bubbe’s Brisket and Masabacha Hummus were incredibly smooth and rich. The Ezme Salatim was outstanding with the nutty flavor and paired excellently with the warm, fluffy pita bread.
As for the second and third courses, the Foie Gras, Iraqi Kubbeh Halab, Striped Bass, and Smoked Turkey Shawarma were pleasant. However, the Pastrami felt a bit dry, and the radicchio salad in the dish was overly salty. The Rice Pudding was excellent, and the Mousse Cake was richer than expected.
Overall, the hummus and Salatim were definite highlights (and quite filling), while the subsequent courses, although not quite reaching the same heights, still delivered flavorful and enjoyable experiences.
A delicious and fun experience, albeit quite overpriced and a somewhat rushed. Superb and creative drinks with unique flavors and aromas. Especially impressed by arak menu, their specialty drinks, and wine list. Our server was engaging and knowledgeable. Ordering is easy and all the dishes are shared. Highlights of the food included the pits, hummus thin and and hummus masabacha, all the salatim but especially the ezme, also the carrots, heirloom tomatoes, and bass. The standout was the maqlubah. The desserts were good, but not great, which was fine since we were stuffed, though the mahleb cheesecake was excellent. The only downside was the servers who brought out several dishes at once and were quick to clear, creating a bit of a rushed feeling. We weren’t able to hear or ask what was being brought out since they were working so quickly. For $165 per person and everything else being so wonderful, I’d have expected not to be rushed. But it still is 5 stars.
There is evidently lots of thought behind each dish. Smoothest hummus I have ever had , falafel was incredible. Everything was super fresh, interesting taste combinations of ingredients.
Incredible food and service. The staff made our celebratory dinner a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this spot to anyone with an upcoming milestone. Wish we could have tried more food, but more of a reason to go back. The portions are LARGE, so come hungry. Thank you for the wonderful night Galit!
Hummus & Pita
Forever singing my praises about this pita. I don’t think this bread could’ve been any more perfect. It was soft, warm, and inviting—with the perfect amount of crunch and lightness. It was so expertly cooked I had to stop myself from eating too much (and I def did). The hummus was very smooth and well-spiced and definitely lived up to the “too much olive oil” description. I didn’t mind at first, but I was glad I didn’t get the hummus with brisket because I don’t think I would’ve been able to finish.
Bread - 9/10
Hummus - 7.4 / 10

Salatin
I liked the ezme but it wasn’t anything surprising and I am not a huge tomato fan and I enjoyed this, so it would probably be good for other people. the watermelon was… confusing?? I did not really understand why it was there. tasted mid and I wish it was the peaches from the menu instead. The labneh I liked but it was also a bit too much esp on top of the already well-oiled hummus and it was also drowning in oil so it wasn’t my favorite and the pickles were by far my top pick out of this part of the course. They were acidic and textured and broke off from the oil of the hummus and labneh and every time I felt sick I just ate one and I felt a bit better. Soured perfectly too and it was so crunchy I loved it.
Ezme - 6.5/10
Watermelon - 5.6/10
Labneh - 4.5/10
Pickles - 7.3/10

Mezzes
We got to pick two dishes out of the list, and so we chose the Lamb coquettes (not the girl aesthetic) and Foie gras toast. Lamb was recommended by our waiter and we saw 5 different photos (like this one) praising the foie gras so we decided to try it out.
foie gras was more disappointing. It was whipped and probably mixed with butter or something because that’s what the texture was like. The challah bread was way too oily and made me feel a bit sick after one bite. The rhubarb jam was a good idea, but I felt that with the already pooling oil from other components it only made it that much denser—I wish it tasted more of rhubarb than strawberry. Confused by the Tahina and leaves on top too. The coquettes redeemed the mezzes for me. They were warm, crunchy but not oily, and the sauce did a great job of enhancing the dish’s presence overall.
Foie gras - 4/10
Coquettes - 7.4/10
Overall - 5.7/10
Entrees
My mom ordered Striped bass and I got Maqluba (crispy rice). It’s now important to note that I did not know the portions of the dishes beforehand, otherwise, I wouldn’t have gotten the rice at all.
Bass - 8.3/10
Rice - 7.8/10
Overall - 8.0/10
Dessert
The custard was light and not-too-sweet and the blackberry complimented it perfectly, the flowers were a nice touch and the cookies were crunchy but soft—I suspect they were almond-flour based—and it was beautifully plated. I had doubts about this restaurant but the dessert itself rescued it in my eyes.
Malabi - 9.4/10
Overall - 9.4/10
The meal overall (every round’s overall scores added together) - 7.4/10
Beautiful food. I loved the pickled items and the yogurt butter. The fish was so delicious. I would come here again. They also gave us cookies for the road on our way out. I think they over booked because they place was packed and they charged us for "call", which is weird and I had never seen a that before.
We started with the beef brisket hummus. You don't get a lot of beef but that's not really the point. Everything tasted great with the pita & were very distinct from each other.
Next we shared the falafel and carrots. We both like the carrots more -- an interesting blend of flavors and textures. Would recommend. Falafel was good but pretty straight forward. Id probably get something more adventurous if we came back.
For the mains, we had the mushrooms and turkey shawarma. We really liked the mushrooms though the portion size was a little underwhelming. Turkey shawarma is fun but it had a bit too much going on. Better portion size at least.
Finished with the babka. Tasty, not to sweet at all. Was perfect way to finish a great meal.
Heard a lot of great things about this place. The hummus was undeniably amazing, with a creamy texture and delightful flavors that left me craving more. However, the pastrami was disappointingly dry and lacked the desired tenderness. The pita came out piping hot. The turkey shawarma was insanely good. The staff was friendly, providing decent service, and the cozy ambiance added to the overall dining experience. The carrot and feta starter was incredible too!
As much as I want to leave 5 stars, the service was not what we expected for a Michelin star restaurant. The food is 10/10, the pita is the best one I’ve ever had, spectacular hummus and the foie is just impeccable. Still the waitress was very condescending when I expressed I had a citrus aversion, she basically said I couldn’t eat anything and crossed out the whole menu for me with a pen, leaving only 3 options (turns out I could eat ALL the dishes). The runner very kind, same as the owner who greeted us and was super attentive. I would have loved to leave 5 stars, the food is totally worth it with a chic selection of wines, but the service fell much of our expectations. Not only because of the menu restriction, but she was not attentive at all.
