I highly recommend the caldo de res or beef stew. The meat is tender and the broth is tasty, you will not regret! The steak platters are good too but the star is the beef stew.
I've never had a bad experience at this restaurant. Their shrimp cocktail is the best. Their chicken soup is out of this world. And there's steak dinners are cooked to perfection.
I love the food and very decent portions...Great service and family oriented restaurant. I had the Carne asada plate, great choice!
Amazing, authentic, flavorsome food. Got a variety of dishes and each was better and fresher than the last. The carnitas are juicy and the guacamole and salsa and chips are fresh as they can be. The flavors are authentic and rich and the service is extremely hospitable and caring. Great for families or dates or even just gorging down a burrito on your own. Food that warms your soul.
The best food really good sevice..............
Excellently priced carnitas and everything else. Went in to pick up dinner for 4. We spent 25 dollars and had tons left over.
This restaurant is soooo consistent! Food is good every visit!
Ricas las carnitas estilo Michoacan, la barbacoa, gran variedad de productos hispanoamericanos
Very close to home pleasant staff and nice breakfastšāļø
Visiting chicago from boston, we stayed at an airbnb across the street. Ate at the touristy places then on the way home grabbed some hot food and bakery items from the grocery store. By FAR the better meal than the expensive CHI food. Can't compliment this place enough!!!

This is only for the restaurant, I cannot speak on the grocery storeā¦yet. Itās a favorite of the College kids as itās close to North Park University but also to the Spanish speakers in the neighborhood as well.
Itās authentic af, I was nervous trying to order in Spanish until I realized that the staff also speaks English as well. The nice thing is like unlike some places in the city they donāt charge you for chips and salsa. Also, if you want to pop some shots of tequila it is byob.
I ended up with the burrito and rice. My girlfriend ordered a hefty veggie torta with rice and beans. It was legit and look forward to learning more on duolingo to surprise them when I come back!

A small place but really good food I had the chicken quesadillas had great tasting chicken had a side of guacamole that was fresh and the servers were very friendly
OMG OMG OMG! The restaurant closed to the supermarket is excellent with all home made, great service, price is like cheap (couldn't t believe that...). Tacos and fautas were just wow!! Very local and fresh! All using gloves in the kitchen which is just perfect!
Best menudo and carnitas that I have had. Long line on Sunday but the hard workers at la Michoacana organize the line and are attentive to you very much when taking your order and giving you what you asked for.
Their sweet breads delicacies are very delicious. My favorite is the cheese filled bread.
If you want an authentic delicious Mexican brunch then go here!
The beef soup, chicken soup, and flan are so good whenever I visit Chicago I come here. Their prices are very reasonable, too. Each of them (including the flan) could be a whole meal.
When you walk in the first thing you see it's fresh produce. Walk a little further and you going to see the meat department and you can see how everything is so fresh and you can see the homemade Mexican sausage just hanging there. My favorite in there is their cook meals everything it tastes so good good everything is homemade with that Home style flavor. Come to think of it, everything there is homemade, their bread, their tortillas, their meals, natural juices and everything is made with fresh ingredients all the time.
The Al Pastor burrito might be one of the best in the city. Everything hit perfectly. And the beef soup is next level good.
I visit the restaurant the food is great, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is so good that when you finish your food you donāt want to leave the place, and we Tv šŗ everywhere you look to enjoy the Spanish football or soccer ā½ļø is great the agua the orchata is so good š and everything you get from thereās good congratulations.
Lovely produce and meat. lovely service. There is a connected restaurant that is also lovely! They arent lying about those carnitas, they are so yummy
This is a great place to shop! I came here since I was young and thoroughly enjoyed my experience here! They have nice customer service and a great restaurant, but it was closed down due to the pandemic. Otherwise, this is a great place to be if you are looking for authentic Mexican products!
great food, great service, warm welcoming atmosphere. If you are at Nevada, you should try the local's best which in my mind is the Mexican cosine.
Shockingly good prices for a grocery store in the city, and good quality too. Iām especially a fan of their bakery.
Friendly, neighborhood restaurant attached to a Mexican grocery, so the ingredients are always fresh. Open late, and almost always full of families. But stay as long as you like--they will never rush you out the door. Nice vegetarian versions of burritos, nachos, etc, feature lots of spinach, mushrooms, peppers and onions. Breakfast available all day. Daily specials. And an especially tasty torta con pollo milanesa.
Their Menudo is very delicious it's worth the $30 a gallon.
Family friendly supermarket. Good meat selection and love the hot food that they have. Ever since Covid hit the prices have gone up like crazy though. I'm basically paying almost double for what I use to purchase. The employees are always busy, but they work fast. Has a parking lot with plenty of parking. The staff is polite and super helpful.
