It has been a long time since I visited Sushi Para (Palatine) for its AYCE menu, so this was my first visit at the Lincoln Park location (Sushi Para II). One thing that you will notice with the appetizers, nigiri and maki rolls is that they are all made to order.
The appetizers was tasty and flavorful. The seaweed salad was a generous portion. The nigiri was fresh but I would not choose the crab next time since its really imitation crab (surimi).
The white tuna nigiri is very fresh and the shrimp tempura roll was hot and prepared well. Worth the AYCE price (lunch) for the quality of food. A solid 4.3 stars!!
We absolutely love Sushi Para II and go a few times a month! The fish is fresh, there’s a great selection of sushi and appetizers, and the service is always super attentive and friendly. The price is excellent and we’ve never been disappointed. This place always puts a smile on our face and we look forward to our visits here.
This is probably the best place for sushi we’ve ever visited. For the price of the all you can eat sushi, this place is excellent. The sushi is so good and of high quality. They have a variety of rolls and appetizers and we have not ever been disappointed. Really love it.
Affordable all you can eat sushi? Say less!
The restaurant is small and only has a handful of tables, so grab a reservation if possible. Sushi quality is absolutely better than expected for an all you can eat restaurant, and the variety of rolls is beyond impressive. Appetizers and sides are also worth trying, and included in all you can eat! If you show up with an empty belly, prepare to chow because this deal almost feels too good to be true. Also extra points for BYOB!
Hi ! Our family had dinner at this cafe today. There were four of us. Check 110 dollars. We ordered sushi and waited 15-20 minutes. Sushi is too simple for this price. There are no drinks to match the sushi. Old cafe design. The price does not correspond to the quality.
This sushi place is amazing! It is very affordable for an all you can it sushi with such quality and you can bring your own drinks too! Also, the staff are very nice.
Definitely recommend
New favorite ! All you can eat and BYOB sushi place with an extensive menu. The eel and salmon nigiri are amazing! (The tuna one is not good) We ordered different rolls, dumplings, gyozas, tempura an seaweed salad. I will definitely come again (and again).
We $35 each with %18 service fee (they include it if you’re five or more people)
Besides the crazy stares you get for how much you’re eating. The sushi does not taste ‘fishy’ if that makes any sense. And believe me we got a lot! We devoured the fried dumplings! 8/10 the meat was good and the crispiness on the outside was good, I mean we got 3 rounds of 15 dumplings that says a lot!!! Would recommend the crunch roll.
Menu had pictures so it’s easy for those who don’t know the names of the rolls
Sushi Para is a classic! Their all-you-can-eat lunch menu is pretty great, the food is fresh and tasty and I like that the rolls are not overdone with rice. The staff is friendly, the servce is timely and I will keep going back!
I’ve ate here multiple times, and the food is always delicious and you get a significant amount of food for the price. The other night I tried to order delivery directly from the restaurant, and it did not go well. My delivery came over an hour and a half after the expected delivery time, well over 2 hours after ordering. There was no way to track the estimated delivery time so I called the restaurant a few times, and each time they told me it was almost there. Kind of disappointed in being lied to over the phone and being late to an event while waiting for the food but maybe they were short staffed. I would’ve liked to know it would take 2+ hours
Sushi was great and came in a timely manner. Had a nice window view and very affordable! Make sure you’re eyes aren’t too big for your stomach because you gotta eat all you order 😋🍣
Really good all-you-can-eat sushi experience with a lot of different options for everyone! Appetizers are also included so things like the fried scallops, tempura and edamame are part of it and pretty good too.
Great place for all you can eat sushi! Try their salmon, white tuna, eel and grilled squid. The fish is fresh and the rice to fish ratio is good as well.
The fish is fresh and flavorful, the cuts are thick and rice is the right amount. There is also an appetizer, the grilled squid that is great. Perfect octopus, char and lemon combination.
The atmosphere is a bit old but I don't mind. The service is pretty quick and friendly. Coastal cities have better sushi but this is still pretty good for AYCE sushi in Chicago.
If you're in the area definitely try them out!
For $27 a pop, this is a good deal. Sushi is not spectacular, but it is decent and relatively fresh. Service is very fast.
When I visited, I was confused about how much I would be charged for the All You Can Eat option.
At the time of writing, during the weekend at all times of day the Dinner price is charged, while the Lunch price is only available on weekdays.
The service was quick and the fish was tasty and fresh.
Overall the value was still good, but clearer signage on the door would be appreciated.
As of 10-1, lunch is $21.99, $25 after tax. Service was prompt and friendly, sushi was fresh and tasty, not anything mind blowing but it definitely satisfies a craving. I only dock a star because I don't think I would pay $25 to dine here again.
