That guy Brandon who works there is the tits. I would keep coming back just for him. In fact, I'd go to any place he was working even if it was the biggest piece of shit bar in Chicago. Also, the turkey burger is really good. The Coors Light is probably in the top 3 best Coors Lights I've had in Chicago.

What an awesome place. I do not write reviews often, but felt leaving a positive review here was the least I could do for the experience I had.
I went to Ironside with my girlfriend for drinks and dinner because we wanted to try a new spot. The menu was awesome followed by even more impressive food. Service was great and our bartender Jimmy took really good care of us. I would certainly recommend anybody looking for drinks, food, a great atmosphere, or all three to check it out! I will certainly be back.
Went there last night to watch the Cubs World Series game. Awesome environment and a great place to watch as there were TV's all over the place. Great service all night long, not to mention the lobster tots blew my mind. I'll definitely be coming back. Believe in the Cubs.
Great beer and excellent service. A wonderful and inviting staff and very comfy environment. I cannot recommend this place enough. It has quickly become one of my favorite spots in River North.

Happy hour from 4-7 is the best around, and there is an awesome lineup of beers and cocktails. Food is delicious. Super friendly staff and very accommodating to large groups.

Got the Jalapeño burger and a bucket of beers to watch the Patriots game. They had a live DJ spinning beats during commercial breaks and when the good guys (Pats) won, free shots on the House and a giant blast from their confetti cannon. Not only was the atmosphere & service great, but the food was awesome too! My jalapeño burger was the perfect amount of kick and suuuper flavorful. Well cooked meat, super awesome toppings (spicy homemade pickles), and fries that were crispy and salty.

I was a part of a bar crawl recently and Ironside was our first stop, which was the perfect setup. Ironside emits a cool and carefree vibe. Everyone loved that one whole side of the wall was out which allowed an amazing breeze and for people to come and go off the patio. Deimante was the absolute best manager, she took care of us and made sure our schedule was kept. I would and have gone back to Ironside, and not because the drinks are absolutely delicious ;)
Great place to catch a game. The service was great, they had a wide variety of beers.

The management was SUPER friendly! Went while there was a lot of hockey fans that were very excited for the game they were watching - not my scene but was kinda of fun to watch them. The bartender was okay, more focused on a couple of friends that bought her a shot that she drank when she knew the management was not watching. I think she relied on wearing almost no clothes (daisy duke shorts with fishnet stockings) more than her bartending abilities for tips. Giving four instead of three stars since the management even told us that it was a different crowd than normal and they were super friendly to us. I would give it a chance again in the future and hope for better bartender.
My Boyfriend and I had a wonderful dining experience here a couple weeks ago. The service was great, the food was great and the atmosphere was perfect. We don't get out much because we have a 9 Month Old so this was a fun time for us. There was music later in the night so we enjoyed that. Their location is also superb! We will definitely be back and have nothing but great things to say to our friends! Just writing this is making me think about those delicious lobster tots! We will definitely be back soon!
This place has made itself a nice new addition to River North. The space is cozy, the food is delicious (not to mention competitively priced in the neighborhood), huge variety of craft beers, and their staff is welcoming and friendly! They also have a lower level complete with another bar, more TVs, and DJ booth, which is perfect for private party's. I've always enjoyed my time here!
What a great addition to river north! The atmosphere and staff is anything but pretentious and the management and owners really make sure to keep it that way. Late night kitchen, great music (I personally enjoy Noah's Shower Mix) and the specialty drinks are on point and everything is reasonably priced. Ironside is definitely a place to check out when bar hopping as well as a comfortable local spot to frequent if you live in the area. Keep up the good work!

The entrance is wheelchair accessible (and they tell you that online, which means they have thought about who might want to come); the room is well laid out. The tables are high; they say they can switch them out with low as needed. Did not check out the bathroom; basement is accessible only by stairs and changing that looks practically impossible due to architecture.
The lighting is low and comfortable with natural light through a big window. Food was great, drinks were great, staff were great, owner talked to me personally about access and seemed willing to work with me but I was okay today so I didn't test it out.
Personally, I had a really great time, and I fully intend to return. Usually when I go somewhere to eat or drink, I am going to eat or drink and I don't worry too much about the rest of it so long as I can manage the physical stuff, but this is a place I could enjoy hanging out. And that's honestly not something I'll say about a lot of places.
I do intend to call ahead if I am ever inviting a wheelchair-using person or person of short stature because tables, but as much as I dislike phones, that is a tradeoff I can live with.
Highly recommended.
Good spot to watch a sports game. The DJ transitioned between game audio during the game and music during the commercials which was a really nice touch. Cheap beer ($4 domestic) when you get a bucket is a plus as well. Food was pretty standard bar food at regular prices. Relative to other spots in River North it's pretty cheap and you aren't sacrificing any quality.
What a great place. Excellent beer list, fantastic food, great atmosphere. The beef sliders were quite literally the best I've ever had. And thank you for the key lime dessert, it was outstanding. Highly recommend!!!
Got to visit Ironside Chicago for the first time after they got their new Executive Chef today. Ordered a variety of items on the menu and loved every bite! Service was great and Chef came to see how we were doing - nice touch. Wish I could share the pics here. My favorites were the wings and buffalo balls 😂! The fried Chicken Sandwich was ON! 100% will be back again!😋
I was in the River North neighborhood for business and was recommended to Ironside by a friend of mine. I went to Ironside with a few clients and had one of the greatest dining experiences I've ever had at a SPORTS BAR! The food was incredible, service was absolutely second to none and their music was amazing. I hope to become a regular at this great new spot.
Pretty great place so far. Been waiting for this place to open for awhile. I'm really hoping it sticks around for more than a minute like a lot of new places in River North. They've got a great draft last and the food options read delicious! I want Ironside to be my regular neighborhood bar. I'll update this review as I hopefully frequent this seemingly cool new spot!
Had a great experience at this place. Burger was delicious. Drinks were pricey, but well worth it. I’m a fan of the pirate theme in general but this was well done for sure. Check out the Popeye painting when you walk in. 💪🏼
My friends threw me a party at this place to celebrate my upcoming mastectomy. It was a big deal for me and my friends were amazing to do that for me and they picked Ironside for the venue. The staff there could not have been more awesome to us. They let us bring in decorations and cupcakes, all breast related. They were so attentive and even got in on the fun with some breast shaped food. It was a perfect night and Ironside really helped make it so. Can't recommend this place enough, especially if you're having an event.
