My sisters are from Wisconsin, and we came down to Chicago for the weekend. We found this place at the recommendation of a FedEx guy we ran across while looking for a spot to watch the World Series. This place is a gem! The staff were so friendly and the drinks/food were excellent. We liked it so much we came back the following night, and they remembered us! I do recommend they get a more noticeable sign for the front, but I'm thinking that word of mouth will keep the Tavern packed.

Stylish decor, favorite neighborhood gathering place for fun with locals. Relaxed and friendly staff. Live music venues top bands in the area. Local brews and house IPA with mixologists for stellar beverages.

One on the coolest new taverns you'll find in the loop! Great atmosphere and the staff is an all around great bunch of people! Service is always friendly, fast and great! Spent New Years eve there and had a great time! Highly recommend stopping by to check it out for yourself!

Great look, drinks, food, and service. This type of place was really needed in the area and now all the corporate workers have a great place for happy hour and lunch.

First off... super yummy food! Excellent customer service! Atmosphere is chill yet extremely entertaining. Played a lot of shuffle board & tried many different beers. Can’t wait to go on a Friday/Saturday night for some live bands. Draws in a crowd on Sunday funday so can’t imagine what the weekend nights are like!

In from out of town for a concert and happened upon this place (Oct. 17th) while wandering around downtown CHI. Loved it from get-go. A classic, yet modern bar with great food/beverage selections and gracious service. Emily was an excellent host and made us feel at home immediately. Will be on the can't miss list whenever we get to CHI.

Service was great, and the spinach and artichoke dip was the best I’ve ever had. Enjoyed playing shuffle board, something I haven’t done in years!

my wife and i were celebrating my birthday weekend in chicago with friends and left another bar because the bar maid was rude and inattentive. we found this place around the corner and the ambiance was awesome! the bar maid mamager and the band made us feel welcomed and the place just gave off a good vibe. the 2twenty2 beer was delicious! we will be back!

This place is really a hidden gem .The food and drinks are top notch. If you get a chance stop by here for the jumbo pretzel and a Negroni. It's also just a great place to just unwind for a long day of seeing the city.

We took a small group here after work and we had a great time! Drinks and food were good--and the service even better. We initially were clustered around a few chairs at the bar, but then one of their team came to let us know one of the larger seating areas were available and helped us move all our stuff over and get comfortable. The waitstaff and bartenders were superb. The only downside was the sound a bit too loud but still a great time. Thank you!

Really great neighborhood bar. A little more upscale than your typical pub, but included an excellent menu of around 30 craft beers and excellent whiskey on tap. The guacamole seemed to be made fresh, though the salsa (as we found in every place we had mexican in Chicago) was tasty, but lacked any heat or kick.

Very much enjoyed our visit to 2Twenty2. We were fortunate to come at a time when it was slow and got good service. Both drinks we had were great and reasonably priced. I'm not usually big into Mules but theirs was one of the best I've had. Vibe of the place is great, and they even have a couple shuffleboards. We didn't get a chance to try the food, but will definitely consider returning to do so in the future.

Started off slow but quickly picked up. Decent selection of beers and their special Templeton Rye was really good. Staff was great, especially Rodney. Busting his butt and delivering great customer service. Will come back.

We went there for a social meet-up, but had to go next door because I didn’t realize that it was an adults only space. They were so nice and accommodating allowing us to take our drinks next door to their sister establishment and continue our mixer. It was much appreciated.

We came here fairly late one night after hopping around. The service was great and had a wide beer selection. They games in the bar were also a great way to have some fun while drinking. I really appreciate the shuffle table as it provides us with hours of entertainment.

Been here several times on work trips to the area - always great staff with attentive service. Nice rotation of various styles of beer, and I mean, look at that chalk art! Reasonably priced and chill environment.

Pretty nice local bar. Everyone was having fun, especially the bachelor and bachelorette parties. Templeton Rye and Jeppson's Malört on tap was an interesting twist. It wasn't totally packed, but it still took a bit to order a drink if you were sitting at a table, because there didn't seem to be anyone waiting on them. The pizza was pretty good for a $5 slice after midnight.

Not much open late in the loop. Good beer and not super crowded. Just about exactly what we were looking for.

Great bar, opened in last few years, attracts various ages. Games inside, sometimes live bands. I've only had drinks here, I have not tried any food here, pizza, wings etc
