A great little coffee shop with the best darn Cuban sandwich I've ever had in Chicago. A splendid selection of pastries and specialty coffees as well as some interesting iced concoctions. The staff is always incredible friendly, and the owners are neighborhood locals who are just lovely people.
Bring the whole family as they're kid friendly too!
Love this place. The staff is always welcoming and informative. The food is fantastic and fresh. The coffee is delicious and fresh. The atmosphere is vintage and retro and it's always fun to check out what they have in their record collection. Always a great place to go.
When you start with consistently friendly service, have fresh and tasty food & coffee, put some fun local art on the walls and then add a record store on the side...you are gonna get an excellent place to stop and get your morning coffee, socialize and have a snack!
Great atmosphere!!!!!
You can get a delicious coffee while you shop for vinyl, look at cool artwork and listen to great music....all while supporting local business.

Yesterday was my first visit to Perkolator. It won't be my last. I loved it. I was a bit overwhelmed my the menu, but the young man behind the counter put me right at ease. I had the London Fog Latte and an egg and cheese sandwich. Both were delightful! Maybe I'll even become a regular customer!!
Went to Perkolator for the first time today. Lovely coffee shop and a great community resource. Will definitely stop by again when I'm in the neighborhood.
I don’t get to Perkolator as often as I’d like but I love this place! Owners are so friendly, the coffee is delicious (as are their food offerings) and it’s such a warm, cozy place. Love it!
the best coffee, food, atmosphere, and friendly staff on the NW side
Fabulous neighborhood coffee shop with awesome food and great atmosphere. A Beautiful little gem to add to the area!
Let’s just say I’d happily make the trip from East Lakeview to eat delicious food and drink coffee here. This is one awesome place!
Great coffee! Friendly staff! Local! Paired up with light food menu this place is awesome!
Found this little gem while on my adventure walk. It was closing time when I found it and promised myself to stop by the next day. It's a perfect place to relax and read my book (which I forgot to bring along).... ordered two drinks, the iced matcha latte and cucumber lime mint agua Fresca; both are great drinks! Next time I'll come and try more of their delicious drinks 😊
Shout out to Ryan for always helping make my Perk visits more enjoyable. I like going here with my sisters when they visit me (I live a couple blocks away), and I often mention the Perkolator to friends, too. It's great to have places like the Perkolator in the neighborhood since we don't have the surplus of food/coffee options like in Andersonville, for example. But at Perk, you'll find good food, coffee, and ambiance, and it's easily accessible on W. Irving Park Rd.
Great service, above average food and drinks and family friendly. Love having this place in walking distance.
Love this place. Amazing atmosphere, great service. The coffee is absolutely the best. Cafe con leche is my favorite :-)
Great cup of coffee, loved the record store also!! This is what a coffee shop should be.
This place has excellent coffee and better fancy coffee drinks than SBUX! Their pastries are delicious! The owner is also super friendly. They make a peanut butter latte and German chocolate cake mocha, and both are out of this world!
Eclectic coffee shop with local artists on display! Nice menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches and soups, really good coffee and tea options. Support local! This is a portage park gem! Prices are really good for the quality product and service you get
A really cool local coffee shop. The folks working here are super nice. The food looks amazing, but I didn't try an of it this time around. I had a breve latte that was fantastic and they did an amazing job making it. I would definitely come back
This is my go to breakfast spot. They have delicious food, drinks and snacks. I come here mostly for Avocado toast but I’ve tried the sunrise bagel, turkey wrap and smoothies, all sooo good. The vibe is also great, nice employees and customers.
Cute little coffee shop! I was a bit hungry too, so I was glad it had breakfast (burritos and sandwiches), which was really good too! Love the atmosphere!
We used this place for a portion of our wedding gifts (4oz bags of coffee in coffee mugs with a shot of Malört) they exceeded and met our needs in an affordable manner and they were just great to deal with. We also visit the store from time to time, today I had the jalapeño popper bagel and can say without a doubt it's the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had!! Love having this little gem in our neighborhood, and hope we have more additions to the neighborhood just like Perk-o-lator!!
Went here with a girlfriend and our two 5 month old babies. I had the veggie bagel and tuxedo mocha. Everything was very good. We were able to sit comfortably and talk. There were two couches where we could spread out and comfortably eat and tend to the babies. The atmosphere was very chill and the workers were very nice. Definitely will be retuning.
What can I say, this place is really good. The espresso had a sweet flavor to it and their turtle bar is my new favorite. It had nice marbling with great texture and flavoring. Would definitely comeback and get some more. Service is great and the decor is wonderful, perfect for lounging. I've spent over $6 altogether and is worth it!
Super cute local coffee shop/ cafe with plenty of locally sourced coffee merchandise, almost like a mini gift shop. Their specialty latte/tea selection is larger than usual with unique syrup flavors to choose from. Ive had their horchata and mocha + hazelnut latte so far and it is delicious. I’ve also tried their veggie bagel sandwich in the past and it is really good as well. Highly recommend!!
The drip coffee is good - definitely a cut above Starbucks tier. Staff are friendly and the decor is cute. But the food!
The mural in the kitchen says the nicest thing you can do for someone is cook them breakfast, and they take it to heart. Ingredients are fresh and prepared well. Jalapeno popper bagel sandwich and breakfast burrito were both sublime.
Cute little coffee shop I like to visit when I’m in the city. I usually order through the app because I have my dog with me. They have a tree outside I can tie him to in order to run inside and grab my drink.
Pros: great atmosphere, smiley staff, places to sit, community flyers(something niche but I appreciate an involved coffee shop)
Cons: pricey for coffee and orders usually take longer to fulfill than stated in app (huge con for me because I have to tie my dog up and run inside)
