As an LSU student visiting Chicago, I came here specifically to watch the Tigers crush Ole Miss on Saturday. The bar is owned by LSU Alumni and filled with fans. The atmosphere made me feel at home and the quesadillas were delicious. Geaux Tigers!
The atmosphere and aesthetics of Standard were really good! The fried cheese curds were delicious and the jumbo wings were a big hit for the table as well. Great drinks, wait staff and bartender. LSU bar but open to and friendly to all! Great spot for sports, drinks and food
Nice place to watch boxing or whatever you like, a lot of big tv’s and the food is tasty. 10/10. I’m here for the first time but definitely not the last. Looks like I’ve found my favourite place in Chicago to watch UFC/Boxing!

Standard fair for a sports bar, fairly reasonable selection of beer and a good variety of bar bites.

I randomly stopped in here looking for dinner. I was in the mood for a burger and assumed a sports bar would have what I wanted. I was not disappointed. I ordered the Fried Onion burger and as my photo shows, it was fully loaded and was a thick juicy patty. I had a side of sweet potato fries to go with it. My partner got the wings, note it says jumbo wings but I'd say they are normal size wings, but still decent. We also ordered the waffle fries on the side and they were nice and crispy. The staff was friendly, and expect to be carded. The patio door was open, which was nice since it was a beautiful Sunday. The bar TV speakers are loud as other reviews have mentioned. It's expected for a sports bar to be loud, but it is a little extra loud. I believe they can turn it down if asked. Overall a great experience and a good meal. I highly recommend the burger 🍔
It’s my neighborhood bar! There are many around but none like Standard. They’re personable, reasonable and their beers are cold (the food is delicious as well). The staff is amazing and I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the neighborhood. Plus they have the UFC fights on Saturdays!!
Superb sports bar and gathering joint for exceptional people and crowds. Service is excellent 👌, food is superb for a bar, especially the House and Southwest burgers, excellent french fries, great selection of beer and spirits 🍺. The owner and staff and the super nice security staff are beyond friendly. Inside and curbside seating available. I highly recommend this bar.
Julia and Pete were the best!!! We had a large group for a taco margarita crawl event and they were accommodating and kind and patient with us. I was a Server and Bartender for 6 plus years and it takes a certain type of person to do this work, seriously. These two are the REAL MVPs. Plus, the food was super freaking delicious!!!

I have been coming to this place for some time over 10 years now, great great place to come watch any MMA or boxing match in a nice pleasant atmosphere where you feel safe and not have to worry if the opponents crowd will want to start a fight with ya. Every time I go end up talking to the opposition and talk about the fight and fighters in a friendly and rational way like it should always be. The servers are very attentive polite and kind and it's fair to add they are all young and pretty, guys at the door a respectful and polite they don't treat you like cattle or like by them letting you in they are doing you a favor.
Manager possible owner is always there overlooking the whole thing, so If you're on the northside of the city and want to catch a PPV sporting match that's your place to go. Ohhhhh there are so many screens you always get a good view of the event there is a second floor and they let you stand by the staircase to watch down from above, the drinks are drinks priced reasonably and bar food very descent as well, all in all great place it never fails.
Needed a spot to watch some NFL football and decided to give Standard Bar and Grill a shot.

Matt the manager was AMAZING. He made sure my party of 5 on UFC night was taken care of. Which is not easy!! But he made it happen. The hospitality was unmatched. Also— if you come, ask for V as your server!! This girl is unmatched. Great energy and positivity. She deserves a raise!!!
Consistently quality service and great food with a menu that has a good variety of options - “The Standard” can easily change its name to “The Exceptional” and still live up to their reputation.
Absolutely obsessed with Jelena! She was so sweet and offered such great service. 10/10 would recommend and requesting her for your next bar hopping venture!

30/10 stars!! Celebrated my 30th here and never wanted to leave. The staff made me feel so special and making the reservation couldn’t have been easier. Will absolutely be back!
This is my second time visiting this establishment, my first was four years ago for my birthday. It was a Saturday so it was a lively crowd. Had to take a seat at the bar upstairs. Ordered a Southwest Burger and Fries with a vodka and lemonade. The Burger was ok, but the fries were really good. I also loved the music being played.
