We sat in the bar area. The music is perfect! Melisandra was our amazing server and was spot on whenever we needed anything. She is very friendly and entertaining! I love that they still have traditional martini glass sizes here and not the small slipper glasses that trendier places have.
Love the food! Love the drinks ! Love the music!! Love the staff! We will be regulars!
Thanks for the wonderful experience!
3rd time here and still love it! Mel and Jim are so nice it makes us feel like we are special. We will be back often.
Morton's was excellent - no problems - we have always enjoyed good meals.
We went to the Wacker Drive location - our wait staff, Sergio was outstanding - give him a raise. My New York Strip was perfectly cooked.
I had the best steak & great service in Morton.
We walked in a Wednesday evening September around 5 pm and easily got a seat and got a warm welcome from the Usher. One weird thing is the front desk asking us to remove the hat, but you know under the hat, our hair is quite messy so we insist our hat stays, but the front desk didn't insist we need to remove the hat, so everything is still ok so far.
(Ok, after the hat, I did Google the dress code & found quite a lot discussion about the weird Morton Steakhouse dress code exist from before but still exist 2023)
Well tradition is tradition, Morton didn't kick us out because of wearing hat & wearing business casual with jeans. So that opens my mind after Google the dress code in Morton.
But frankly speaking, I had the best 7 oz wagu steak while my husband had crab cake. It's just purely simple & delicious.
Our server Bertha did a wonderful job, she not only serve us, she also spend some time with us and we talked about the million dollar burger which is not on the menu anymore, and she gave out the best recommendation for dessert.
Btw, I had a impression that Chicago doesn't know how to make a good cocktail but Chicago Morton proof me wrong, my Passion Margarita is yummy and my husband also love Guava Side Car.The cocktail here is world class level as NYC & London.
Overall, besides a bit shock from the hat stuff, everything is awesome.
We ate dinner at the Morton‘s in Chicago on Wacker Place. It was an incredible dining experience. I had the bacon-wrapped sea scallops, the wedge salad, the filet mignon with béarnaise sauce, and the chocolate mousse. Everything was impeccable. The service from Jim was spectacular. We will be back.
Last time I went on Father’s Day and got the Filet Mignon and it was good. I wanted to try something different this time. My daughter got the pork chops and she loved them.
Jim, our server at Morton's The Steakhouse, truly elevated our dining experience to excellence. His expertise and attentive treatment were remarkable throughout the meal. Jim's knowledge of the menu and his recommendations enhanced our choices, ensuring we had a memorable evening. His warm and professional demeanor added a personal touch to the service, making us feel truly valued as guests. Thanks to Jim, our time at Morton's was not only about outstanding food but also exceptional hospitality.
My family and ate here yesterday and had a really great experience. Our server Steven was very attentive, explained the menu items well, and gave great service overall. The food was amazing and the molten cake dessert was very good! Whenever we come to Chicago again we are definitely making another visit!
We had 16 oz Prime Cajun Ribeye and 22oz Prime Bone in, both tasted good. Also tried baked corn souffle, prosciutto wrapped mozzarella and crab cake. Overall a good experience.
Things have changed a little since I was last here. They don't have the plain new York cheesecake slice for desert anymore. The loaded baked potato comes Pre loaded. They used to bring you all the fixing and load it at the table for you. I miss that. They don't allow you to get a burger during dinner anymore. They have started to serve more seafood which is not a bad thing. Other than that the Cajun steak, grilled asparagus, and wedge salad was perfect. And the chocolate Sundae is ridiculous.
I have to say this was one of the best experiences I have had at a steak house.
The service was great..super..
We had the ribeye...medium/medium rare and the server reconmeded "seared"..
Unbelievably great..made all the difference in the steak..would highly recommend. I would come here again...
Love ❤️ Chicago ....
I recently visited Morton’s The Steakhouse during the Labor Day special in Chicago. 3-course dinner for $69. It was a very good deal for so much food! I really enjoyed my visit. Loved the ambience and dim lighting; perfect for an intimate evening on the town. For dinner, l had: Shrimp Cocktail, Salmon Fillet, Lobster Mac & Cheese ($12 upgrade), and the Blueberry Cheesecake. Everything was extremely delicious and the service was very good. I was so glad that I had leftovers so I could enjoy the dinner all over again the next day. Highly recommend! The Lobster Mac & Cheese was one of the best I’ve had in Chicago!
So this was my first time at Morton's Steakhouse and it was my birthday. I ordered the dry-aged ribeye. I don't eat steak often however, this steak made my eyes roll back in my head with every bite I took. The mushrooms and grilled onions along with the au gratin potatoes went perfectly together. It was a nice atmosphere. Just the way you would expect a good steakhouse to be. I would have no problem returning.
Had a reservation at 6 pm and was seated immediately. It was restaurant week, so we went with the $59 dinner. I went with the bacon steak appetizer, which was very flavorful and smoky, there was some pop rocks in there too, which was interesting. For entree, the filet mignon, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Then to top it off was the key lime pie, one of the best I've ever had.
Lobster Ravioli starter was superb! Caesar salad and chopped salad were great. Miso seabass was tender and perfect and 14oz dry aged NY strip was great! Lighting was romantic and the music was perfect steakhouse music and thankfully NOT blaring! Service was excellent and not intrusive!
Excellent fillet and sides. Meat was very good and cooked to perfection as requested
Got a last minute reservation for 25 people. The service was as great as the food itself
Truly enjoyable visit. I ate with about 30 people. The food and service were great. Issue with getting back in the door because they were closing, but it was a minor thing. I understood that. Kudos to the staff for a memorable meal.
