Interesting fusion of Eastern European and Asian cuisine at a great price point. Well balanced dishes with delicate flavors. Perfect place to try caviar for the first time. Love the seasonal menu, cocktails and the infused vodka shots (perfect way to start your meal). Home made pastries are off the charts. Highly recommended dish sharing to get the full experience of this flavor rainbow. Coming back for more!
Absolutely amazing! The food is fantastic, the staff is always on point and aim to please. The vodka and drinks are out if this world...if you haven't come here yet, please do yourself a favor come here soon! The manager is and wait staff are so attentive...some times their busy but because this place is awesome...give them the benefit if a doubt and they will never disappoint you. Love this place!!!
What an amazing dining experience! The atmosphere was intimate and relaxed. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The food was outstanding, from beginning to end (I would highly recommend the ramen, it was out of this world). Everything was perfection, down to the smallest details. Our server made excellent wine and cocktail recommendations that paired well with each course. This is a fantastic restaurant that we would highly recommend to others!
Came with a group and we were able to try a good portion of the menu. Food, Drink, and Dessert were all wonderful. The menu is a great range from a casual meal to the decadent - there's really something for everyone without overcrowding the choices. Their selection of signature cocktails were tasty - from twists on classics to some truly unique drinks. And, the desserts are all made in-house, unique, and delicious. Staff was warm and friendly. Going back again next week to try more!
UPDATE: been back a couple more times, including today for brunch/lunch and damn... Get in this place! Open for Breakfast and lunch every day. Homemade doughnuts and kolachkis? yup. The eggs on eggs? delicious. the bloody marys? go down easy.
Great food and great drinks. The staff are always so gracious and nice. When my friend’s burger temperature needed tweaking, they gave him a brand new burger and the chef sent us some complimentary pickled veggies to nibble on while we waited for the new burger. The chef then came out to personally check to make sure the new burger was to my friend’s liking. Very classy and service oriented. I hope this place gets the following it deserves!
We had an amazing dinner here last evening - we tried caviar for the first time - the rest of the menu was unique but not weird - food and service were top notch!! Looking for a new spot to hit up in Chicago? I would highly recommend you try the Heritage Restaurant and Caviar Bar!
Amazing meal, great drinks, and beautiful desserts. Unpretentious caviar spot that is totally willing to explain it all to you. Plenty else on menu for those not wishing to indulge in caviar. Everything we tasted from the menu was amazing.
My roommates and I are be to the neighborhood and we through we'd try his place out. Glad we did, the staff is super friendly and the food is amazing. We each tried a cocktail and split a few dishes. The prices are affordable and the atmosphere is wonderful! Cannot wait to try out breakfast/brunch!
Great place for lunch with the entire family including 2 under 2. Adventurous menu that is super well executed. There’s a lot of love and care and blood and sweat and tears in this food!
This restaurant was just what Chicago needed. Our server, Crystal, was fantastic. We weren't super familiar with caviar, but she walked us through the menu without making us feel dumb. The caviar menu has for everyone ranging from $10 upwards to $$$$$. The rest of the menus was delicious, I just wish we had more room in our stomachs to try more!!!!
The dessert was out of this world!!! It was the daily special, brûléed blue cheese with a fennel/ anise ice cream and peaches . I know it sounds strange but trust me.... it was amazing!!!!
Great meal. The staff and food are amazing. Highly recommended. Caviar stupidity amazing.
This place is amazing! The service, food and cocktails do not disappoint. Will be back next week:).
Beautiful place, friendly people and so far the food has been great! Thanks for having your neighbors! Will be back for sure!
The little devils who took care of us packed up a bunch of bakery in our take home on top of the excellent food & service! Devils
We love the food!! Staff is super knowledgeable about the food and drinks!!! Don't miss brunch!!

Brunch is amazing, can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Attentive, warm service and comfortable setting. Kudos to the entire team!
First visit and wow! What a great place to try my first oyster! Outstanding food, service, and ambiance ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Felt like I was back in Eastern Europe tasting the finest cured meats, caviar, twists on classics, and surrounded by dark, moody but comfortable decor. The oysters were fantastic!
We enjoyed several items from the happy hour which I highly recommend. Not pictured: fried pickles and chicharrones with cheese and caviar (incredible!)
I can't remember the last time I ate at a restaurant that had so many things I love, an atmosphere that was palpable even on the sidewalk outside, and had such friendly staff of all kinds. My partner and I more than enjoyed the oysters, chef's plate with delicious smoked fish, a "shrub" that featured complex and delicious flavors (which they made non-alcoholic for me), and ice cream made there. In fact, they make most everything from scratch and do so with a foodie's sense of flavor magic.
Cozy neighborhood spot. We had the picked herring, trout dip & some of the Roe. The homemade potato chips were delicious. Cocktails were lovely. Would come back again & again!
The happy hour is amazing here it is a must do in Chicago for sure. I ordered the “they*” $19 for a DOZEN oysters AND a glass of sparkling wine. The oysters were extremely fresh in flavor and the wine was well paired and oysters came with nice fresh crackers.
Staff was very informative on all my questions about the oysters and wine and everything in between.
Honestly I don’t like to give 5 stars often for restaurants and I didn’t want to give this place 5 stars. They simply gave me no choice but to give 5/5.
K was my hospitality guide in this wonderful gender inclusive restaurant. What an elevated safe space. It’s STILL uncommon to see a place that makes a point to be truly inclusive while maintaining a classy upscale vibe. What a treat that I wish to be accessible to everyone.
The vibe is amazing, crystals and tarot cards. The staff is friendly and seem to enjoy their work environment. I will be returning!
We had an absolutely lovely brunch here. All the dishes were well-balanced and beautifully plated. I especially loved their gravlax. Service was great.
Came for the no-regrets burger, ended up getting the shaved lamb sandwich too. Everything was so damn good! Worth the trip. #noregrets
Updated review: After having been for brunch, I would highly recommend going. Their menu has evolved and everything was great. The only downside to my visit during brunch was that they forgot about our oyster order. It didn't come out until we were finished with our meal. Otherwise, everything was chef's kiss. I highly recommend going for brunch.
I was hesitant to try this place out because their brunch menu seemed really lacking, but then I decided to give them a shot during restaurant week. I'm very happy that I did because it was amazing. Their caviar was delicious, everything on the menu, for restaurant week, was good. The only things that I didn't really like were the yukhoe and the beet course, from the restaurant week menu. The Yukhoe was just overly salty, in my opinion. The beet course just wasn't to my liking, personal preference. I'll definitely be visiting again so I can try some other caviar.
Delicious food and awesome service! The oysters were fresh and juicy and the hanger steaks were so tender and tasty. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the recommendation for the whiskey 🥃
I could talk about this restaurant forever. The service is always excellent, the food is always imaginative. The owners Guy and Tiff are both extremely friendly and show such passion for their restaurant. The staff are always warm and passionate about the restaurant’s menu. My partner and I have had their Restaurant Week menu twice, Dread Lobster menu, and their holiday take home offering, and it is the best four dining experiences of our lives. Try and support this restaurant!
Absolutely fabulous! Every single thing was perfect… oysters fresh and briney. Served with beetroot cocktail sauce, Steak tartar with sesame leaves, the deviled eggs…oh the deviled eggs! Can’t leave out the homemade pickles and duck egg rolls. The champagne and wine selected for us paired perfectly… so much more….Fresh, imaginative, beautiful and oh so delicious. Tiffany and Guy are artists of food. Don’t miss this gem if you are in Chicago.
Very romantic spot with excellent menu. Stuff is super friendly and helpful, walked us through caviar plate and shared details how it is made etc. house infused vodkas are a gem - we liked the one with beets the most! Also smoked sturgeon is a must try!
Happy Hour menu is legit!! Came for the oysters, thoroughly enjoyed the chicharron with paddlefish roe and cocktails. Their outside patio was nice and spacious. Service was excellent as well. Must try!
Great food, great happy hour menu, but the service does take a bit. Overall it is a place we love to go!
RESTAURANT WEEK @heritage_chicago 📍 Ukrainian Village, Chicago
We got the restaurant week menu for $55, which comes with 5 courses ! Ben booked it for 9:30pm on @exploretock , super easy to park nearby Biggest highlights were the prime rib pierogi, Korean shortrib aka "galbi" and iron skillet halibut
1️⃣ course: tuna and Hamachi with tempura seaweed. The tempurad seaweed was interesting, adds an earthy taste to balance the freshness of the fish + some sort of aioli. Comes with a hot honey, and green kimchi that was a really great palette cleanser
2️⃣nd course : shaved asparagus salad. You can really taste the egg jam and Hollandaise, really creamy against the vinegary shaved white asparagus. The whitefish roe is my fave. Really want to try their roe/caviar tasting for $150 next time!
3️⃣rd course: prime rib pierogi and duck breast salad. Pierogi was super meaty, filled to the rim of the dumpling casing and fried till crispy. The dough wasnt too heavy and every bite can be paired with their horseradish and sour cream sauce. Duck breast salad had an Asian twist to it. There's cabbage, broccoli, spring onion,. Pickled carrot all in a kimchi vinegrette and maybe a bit of sesame oil? Loved how fresh it was, wish there was a bit more of the smoked duck breast
4️⃣the main : short rib galbi and iron skillet halibut. The galbi had a fantastic bite, and the exact Korean galbi marinade I love. Almost the size of my forearm and a pretty thick cut so I had to chew quite a bit 😂. It comes with this fantastic fried spring onion on top of a bone marrow flan which I didn't particularly enjoy. Overall a great dish.
Halibut was awesome - super crispy skin and "fall off the bone" meat. Comes with pimento grits & a white truffle lobster sauce. If you love seafood & creaminess, you'd love this
5️⃣Dessert: black forest cake and lemon curd tart. The biggest highlight of the dessert was the ice cream 😂. It comes with a salted triple chocolate ice cream for the lemon tart, and a white chocolate ginger ice cream for the black forest cake. Really smooth, creamy , and great depth in flavors. Otherwise the tart and cake was slightly dry

Hands down my favorite restaurant. We love to come in for their oyster happy hour. Up until I came in for restaurant week, I thought they only had the small storefront area for seating. This time we were seated in the basement and the feel is much more intimate. Their seating is so different. It’s darker and there are booths.
We came in because we saw they were bringing back their million dollar bowl. We had it last Valentine’s Day and loved it so much we were excited to see it back on the menu. For restaurant week they had a 4 course menu plus dessert. We had a dozen of oysters as a starter AND the oysters that were on the restaurant week menu. They owner came to tell us about the oysters on the restaurant week menu and where she had tried them. I love them because they had chives, caviar, crème fraiche, and a few things I can’t remember.
The first course was sushi. It was fun because I hadn’t tried raw fish sushi and it was amazing. The second course had me worried because it was a platter of different types of radishes. The only radish I’ve had was the Mexican radish in pozole and that’s such a strong taste. It was also amazing. The radishes were so sweet, especially the pickled watermelon radish. For our third course, we had the pork dumpling instead of the prime rib perogi because they always have the perogi on the menu. I enjoyed it very much. It was sweet and but you can taste the chives. And finally we had the million dollar bowl for our last course. It has crab, salmon roe, smoked bacon, uni cream sauce, nori, and puffed rice. The picture looks beautiful but I love to mix everything together to get an explosion of flavors in my mouth.
For dessert we both had the mini chocolate cake because we didn’t really enjoy the ruffle sour cream and cheddar ice cream. It was very confusing for my brain, it tasted just like ruffles but also like ice cream.
Overall everything was amazing. I always recommend this place to anyone who asks what restaurant they should go to.
Came for the happy hour and enjoyed the oysters! Wines were on point - both the Chardonnay and the red. They even had a white port! The bartender had fantastic recommendations and was very attentive and thoughtful. Definitely would come again. Great space.
This hidden gem of a restaurant deserves more love! Each dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. My personal favorites were the duck and kimchi mandoo and the cheese curds. My only complaint is that the cocktails, while certainly strong, were not well balanced. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and amenable to our needs. I would love to return!
Stellar restaurant. Try the August tasting menu! The caviar service is out of this world and the oysters, both raw and fried, go so well with it. My other favorite dishes were the lamb dumplings, melon with goat cheese, and the finale ice cream. The ice cream is made from sour cream and cheddar ruffles with caviar on top and it’s one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Super cute neighborhood spot with amazing food. Feels like a hidden gem.
I have celiac and the staff went out of their way to alter several dishes to accommodate me that were incredibly delicious and had zero cross contamination.
